1.泰水患煮熱食Providing flood relief
First up, a region along the Mekong River in Thailand has been flooded for two months. During September, government authorities, the military and Tzu Chi volunteers worked together to survey damage and provide hot meals using navy lifeboats to residents in flooded areas of Ayuttaya.
節目一開始，泰國水患已經兩個多月，湄公河岸大水仍未退，九月時，政府當局軍方以及慈濟志工一起勘災，烹煮熱食，出動海軍救生艇，發放給水災災民。
2.日發放菊地 More local volunteers join
Tzu Chi”s continuous care for disaster victims can also be seen in Japan, for quake and tsunami survivors. On September 23 to 25, Tzu Chi held its sixth aid distribution in Miyako City, in Iwate Prefecture. We meet a local couple who were so inspired by the Taiwanese NGO”s work, they became part of the aid relief team.
慈濟人在災區的持續關懷，在日本也能夠看到，九月23到25號，第六度在災區的發放，地點是在岩手縣的宮古市，一對當地的夫妻，深受慈濟的付出感動，也加入了賑災的行列。

3.菲白米牛奶 Charity relief across Luzon
Moving to the Philippines, besides distributing rice donated by Taiwan”s Council of Agriculture, Tzu Chi volunteers there recently received a donation of over 10,000 liters of milk in one-liter cartons. The caregivers quickly delivered the milk to young students in three primary schools in the town of San Mateo in Rizal Province.
鏡頭轉到菲律賓，除了持續發放來自台灣農委會捐贈的愛心白米，菲律賓分會最近又收到了善心人士捐贈一萬多公升的牛奶，志工趕緊將這些牛奶送給聖馬刁鎮的三所小學的學生。
4.愛在菲揚卡利多 Life transformed by Ketsana & Tzu Chi
Staying in the Philippines, 56-year-old Carlito Grefal from Marikina City was an alcoholic for 40 years. His unhealthy lifestyle even drove his daughter away. However, his life began changing after Typhoon Ketsana hit the Philippines, as he started working with Tzu Chi volunteers who came to his community to provide disaster relief. Now, the reformed man has reunited with his daughter after she saw the changes in him.
菲律賓馬利僅那，一位喝酒長達40年的市民卡利多，每天過著醉生夢死的生活，連女兒都受不了他，憤而離家出走，凱莎那風災的因緣，讓他與慈濟結緣，徹底改變了他的人生，現在，完全戒酒的他，女兒看到改變，回家團聚。
《 衲履足跡 》On Filial Piety 談孝道
By feeding our parents and serving them tea, we are reminded of how they raised us when we were young, which will nurture our desire to reciprocate. Everyone who participates in Tzu Chi”s humanistic activities, will learn to be filial and act properly.
為父母餵食、奉茶等舉動，可讓孩子回想自幼即是受到父母如此的照顧，懂得回報親恩。慈濟人的人文行動，但願人人能接觸得到，重新建立孝道、實行道德禮儀。
5.愛的環保站 Taichung”s new recycling station
TIMA member and Taichung Tzu Chi volunteer, Dr. Ji Bangjie(紀邦杰) donated a vacant lot to Tzu Chi. After ten months of building and renovation, last Saturday, the new environmental station-cum-retreat celebrated its grand opening.
台中市慈濟志工，紀邦杰醫師去年將一塊空地捐給慈濟，經過十個月整修，上星期六，這個新的環保站共修處正式啟用了。
6.蘇州環保參訪 Visitors at Neihu recycling station
A group of delegates and entrepreneurs from Suzhou, China came to Taiwan and took the opportunity to visit Tzu Chi”s Neihu recycling station in Taipei last Sunday. The visitors were all very moved and inspired by the hardworking environmental volunteers.
蘇州代表團與一群企業家，最近來台灣參訪，並在上周日把握機會到慈濟內湖環保站，看到這麼多志工一起努力守護地球，大家都深受感動與啟發。
7.糖(部)文化園區 Tangbu Cultural Area opens
Still in Taipei, an old warehouse area in the Wanhua district has been converted into the Tangbu Cultural Area. On Sunday, Taiwan”s president Ma Yingjiu and the mayor of Taipei city, Hao Longbin opened the complex. The famous Ming Hwa Yuan opera group, that was moving into the area, gave visitors a sneak preview of the show it will be performing for disaster victims in Japan, starting Wednesday.
也是台北的新聞，萬華有一間舊倉庫，周末在總統馬英九以及台北市長郝龍斌的見證下，正式成立為糖部文化園區，同時有八十年歷史的明華園，也進駐到園區，除了展示歷年戲曲文物，下周三明華園將到日本賑災義演。

On this day in 1981, at a vegetarian restaurant in Taipei, a construction planning committee for Tzu Chi General Hospital was formed. Members included Master Xiu Guan修觀, the deputy superintendent of NTU Hospital Dr. Du Shimian(杜詩綿), Dr. Zeng Wenbin(曾文賓), Master Cheng Yen and other people. The committee would meet over 200 times, before completing their mission to build the hospital.

Ben Johnson
loses gold
Canadian sprinter Ben Johnson won the 100m sprint at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, Korea, in a time of 9.79 seconds. But on this day he tested positive for drugs, and was stripped of his medal. After later returning to competition, he was found guilty of doping again in 1993, and banned for life.

Filipino Tzu Chi volunteers, Chongren(崇仁) Hospital superintendent Lv Xiuquan(呂秀泉) and other people, met with Master Cheng Yen at the Hualien Abode on this day in 1996 to celebrate Mid Autumn Festival. Since then, the annual TIMA conference has been held around the Moon Day holiday every year.

Marikina City - a suburb of the huge Filipino capital of Manila - suffered a major flood in 2009, brought down by Typhoon Ketsana. The area was then hit by a fire. After the flood water receded, local volunteers prepared hot food, bread, clothing and other essentials for stricken residents. Tzu Chi would later launch a clean-up program, which would inspire local people to volunteer.
1981年慈院籌建委員會親力親為蓋醫院，1981年這天在台北百味香素食餐廳成立慈濟醫院籌建委員會，包括修觀法師、台大醫院副院長杜詩綿、曾文賓以及證嚴法師等人，陸續召開兩百多次會議，對醫院成立不遺餘力。
1988年，班強生禁藥，取消奧運金牌，加拿大黑豹班強生，1988年這一天在漢城奧運百公尺決賽中以九秒七九奪冠，但這天卻被大會驗出使用禁藥，取消冠軍，直到1993年復出比賽時，再被驗出使用禁藥，被判終生禁止比賽。
1996年，菲國人醫訪花蓮，每到中秋人醫會，菲律賓慈濟志工和崇仁醫院院長呂秀泉等人，1996年這天在花蓮靜思精舍與證嚴法師歡度中秋，從此形成慈濟人醫會每年在中秋節期間，舉辦全球年會的慣例。
2009年，凱莎娜風災，菲律賓志工關懷首都馬尼拉近郊的馬利僅那市，在凱莎娜颱風來襲時大淹水，又因為意外引發火災，在積水退去之後，當地慈濟志工準備熱食、麵包衣物等生活用品送給受災民眾，隨後啟動災後清理計劃，啟發當地愛心。
9.身障泳士 Disabled swimmers win confidence
At Taiwan”s National Disabled Swimming Championships, held on the weekend in Taichung, over 100 disabled swimmers took part. Although they all suffer different forms of disability, they all have something in common: they were able to overcome their handicap by swimming.
用游泳也可游出自信，全國身障者游泳錦標賽，周末在台中舉行，吸引了全台一百多位身障者報名參加，雖然參賽者殘缺程度不同，不過相同的是，他們用樂觀克服了缺陷，游出一片天。
10.黃思賢訪校 Visiting Barack Obama Academy
Recently, Tzu Chi”s Global Affairs director, Huang Sixian and volunteers visited the Barack Obama Male Leadership Academy in Dallas of the United States. Volunteers discussed with the principal the possibility of becoming sister schools with Tzu Chi and also about providing scholarships to needy students.
慈濟全球志工總督導黃思賢與志工來到美國德州達拉斯，拜訪了歐巴馬學校，這是全美第一所以總統歐巴馬命名的學校，這趟拜訪討論與台灣慈濟中學結為姊妹校等事誼，以及提供助學金給清貧學子。
