很抱歉因為之前前往花蓮參與慈青學長精進二日活動，有好幾天沒有上傳文字與影音，營隊結束回來後，又因為 blogger 有好幾天無法將檔案上傳，很心急上傳的進度已落後許多，又遲遲無法於部落格上面留言，前幾天，於諸多考量後，不得已至其它平台申請了一部落格的\空間，希望可繼續恆持這項紀錄與存檔事項，也希望有興趣透過外文了解慈濟世界的法親、大德，繼續支持這個部落格與大愛電視的資源，支持善知識、也繼續支持慈濟的志業，菩薩大招生，為淨化人心，祥和社會共同持續努力。

Coming up in today’s show, we follow US Tzu Chi volunteers as they head to Eagle Pass, Texas to hand out cash cards to flood survivors. Next, Taipei Tzu Chi Hospital practice for their upcoming accrediation exam with Tzu Chi’s Medical Mission deputy director, Zhang Wencheng(張文成). Finally, we see how Taiwan’s ＂strawberry＂ generation cope with the differences of degree earned and actual job placement.

1. 德州水災發放

In the United States, homes in Eagle Pass, Texas were flooded due to torrential rain in mid June which caused the Rio Grande to burst. Texas Tzu Chi volunteers received a list of names of families in need from the local American Red Cross and provided relief to the victims in the form of cash cards, giving them what they need most in this difficult time.

美國德州的伊格帕斯，六月中旬降下暴雨，導致河流水位暴漲，引發水災，德州慈濟志工與當地紅十字會合作，前往了解災民的現況，並發放現值卡，幫助災民度過難關。


2. 巴淡霾害口罩

For the past two weeks, many countries in Southeast Asia have been affected by the thick haze that started in Indonesia due to the illegal burning of forests. In Batam City, as a result of the smog, symptoms of eye irritation, coughing and difficulty in breathing have developed in some residents. To help, local Tzu Chi volunteers and army units worked hand-in-hand to distribute free surgical masks to members of the public.

最近這兩星期，東南亞幾個國家受到因為非法燒森林而產生的霾害影響，在巴淡市，因為霾害，許多居民也都出現呼吸困難、咳嗽和眼睛紅腫等問題，為了幫助當地居民，慈濟志工和軍人聯合發送口罩給居民。


3. 易縣冬令前訪

In preparation for this year’s winter aid distributions, China Tzu Chi volunteers have gone to Hebei(河北) Provinces’ Lianggezhuang(梁格莊) Town, Yi(易) County, to survey the needs of local residents. Among the needy residents are solitary seniors and elderly couples. Despite living in poverty and sickness, they have never given up, and their spirit has inspired the volunteers to double their efforts in future aid distributions.

年底冬令發放之前，大陸慈濟志工到河北省易縣梁格莊鎮進行訪視，這一趟，許多是孤苦無依或是相依為命的老夫妻，儘管又貧又病，這些居民從不放棄，難能可貴的真情，讓志工們動容，決心在未來的發放加倍付出。


4. 廈門李華山

Li Huashan(李華山) is a Tzu Chi care recipient in China’s Xiamen. A sufferer of progressive muscular dystrophy, Li grew weaker as he aged. He was later forced to drop out from school after his father could no longer piggyback him to school. Still, Li does not give up on his life. Tzu Chi volunteers decided to help fulfill Li’s dream of inspiring others by making a film about his story and sharing it with Tzu Chi scholarship recipients.

住在中國廈門的李華山是慈濟照顧戶，從小罹患進行性肌肉營養不良症，導致他年紀越大身體越虛弱，求學路因為爸爸無法繼續背著他而被迫中斷，但是他仍然不放棄學習，也想要幫助別人，於是慈濟志工幫他拍攝一支影片，鼓勵他人完成他助人的夢想，並在拜訪慈濟助學生時與他們分享。

5. 北慈管理精進

Moving our camera to Taiwan, to safeguard the safety of patients while hospitalized, Taipei Tzu Chi Hospital conducts routine check ups on safety and emergency procedures to ensure all staff are up to date on rules and regulations. This time, the hospital invited Tzu Chi Medical Mission’s deputy director, Zhang Wencheng(張文成), to carry out an inspection of each department and to share his knowledge on safety excellence with everyone.

鏡頭轉到台灣，為了守護病患的健康和住院安全，台北慈濟醫院在平時也不忘精進院內的行政和管理工作，特別請到慈濟醫療志業張文成副執行長，實地走訪院內各單位，進行指導和分享。


6. 南慈中尋根

Staying in Taiwan, 149 students from Tainan(台南) Tzu Chi Senior High School recently traveled to Hualien(花蓮) to visit the birthplace of Tzu Chi for the first time. Thanks to this trip, these students go home with a deeper understanding of Tzu Chi. Let’s take a look.

在台灣，台南慈濟高中149位學生，最近第一次來到花蓮，參與一趟尋根之旅，透過這次的活動，學生更加了解慈濟。


7. 四川交流準備
Also about students going on field trips. As part of their summer vacation, students of the Hualien(花蓮) and Tainan(台南) Tzu Chi Senior High Schools plan to visit Sichuan’s(四川) Tzu Chi Middle Schools in an educational exchange. Prior to their departure, the students in Taiwan joined together to carry out their final preparations and hope to bring invaluable experiences back home with them.

也是戶外旅程的報導，暑假期間，台灣台南與花蓮慈中學生將要前往四川的慈濟中學，進行人文教育交流，出發前，大家先進行行前總集訓，期望這次交流能收穫滿滿。


8. 李國修病逝
For those who enjoy theatre plays in Taiwan, this Tuesday was a sad day as Master Li Guoxiu (李國修), the founder of Pingfong (屏風) Acting Troupe, passed away due to colorectal cancer. In his life, the master had produced many popular plays bringing laughter and tears to many. He even left behind 27 new manuscripts so that fans will continue to be entertained in the years to come. Here’s more.

對台灣的戲劇迷來說，這個禮拜二可是個黑暗的一天，因為屏風表演班藝術總監李國修先生，因大腸癌病逝，生前，大師創作並演繹了許多膾炙人口的作品，為人們帶來了歡笑與淚水，他還留下了二十七齣劇本來滿足他的戲迷，一起來看看。

9. 失落世代(2)高等就業市場

Of the university graduates that you know, how many of them actually apply what they have learned in school to their jobs? In fact, a significant proportion of Taiwan’s graduates choose a completely different career path from what they studied in college. The change for some is effortless, while, for others, it is a bumpy ride. Yet, overall, this highlights a lack of cohesion between higher education and the workplace.

您所認識的大學畢業生，有幾位有學以致用呢？台灣有一定比例的大學生，畢業後完全轉行，轉行的過程有人順利有人不順，但突顯的是台灣的高等教育還沒有做到產學合一。


10. 實業家行願

In Taiwan’s Kaohsiung (高雄), a group of entrepreneurs who are also devoted Tzu Chi Honorary Board members took time from their busy schedule to form Tzu Chi’s dharma vessel. They perform at every Honorary Board member tea gathering and also share how their lives have changed since joining Tzu Chi to inspire more people.

在台灣高雄，一群慈濟榮董的實業家抽出時間來組成行願法船，在每一場的榮董茶會中，這些人不僅組隊上台演繹，更分享自己在投入慈濟後的改變，希望接引更多人。

1.智利水患發放TC helps residents of La Pincoya

In Chile, the heavy rains towards the end of June, damaged 43 houses in La Pin-coya, a slum area situated by the capital. Upon receiving the news from a local congressman, Tzu Chi volunteers arrived with relief items, as well zinc plates, to help residents make repairs to their roofs.

智利正值寒冬，而六月底的豪雨，首都附近的貧民區，有四十三戶人家屋頂受損，一聽到國會議員的求援，志工立即動員送來鋅板，協助他們整修屋頂。



2.福建助學金Handing out financial assistance

In China, to help impverished students, on their path of education, two scholarship award ceremonies, were held in Ningde(寧德) City and Nanjing(南靖) City of Fujian(福建) Province. With Tzu Chi by their side, these students are learning valuable lessons, that they will carry with them, for the rest of their lives.

在中國，為了幫助貧困家庭的孩子求學路不中斷，在福建省，在寧德與南靖舉行了頒發助學金典禮，有了志工的陪伴，這些學生知道未來他們的日子不再孤單。


3.深圳公廣大賽Public Service Advertising contest

In Guandong(廣東), China, at a recent Public Service Advertising contest, organized by Shenzhen(深圳) Media Group, Da Ai TV was the only overseas partner, invited to take part. It is hoped that this collaboration, may serve as a platform, to spread positive energy across Guangdong (廣東), Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan.

在一場由深圳廣電集團舉辦的公益廣告大賽中，大愛電視台被邀請成為唯一境外合作伙伴，希望透過交流，能共同在廣東、香港、澳門和台灣，打造出社會的正能量。


4.失落世代(1)新鮮人停看聽Hard choices for college graduates

June marked the end of the school year, for most of Taiwan`s college students. Although a time of celebration for many, with Taiwan`s economic outlook still gloomy, many students are faced with the choice of, trying to either find a job, in this difficult market, or continuing on with their schooling. In our next report, let`s find out why one third of students in the country, is unable to find a job, within six month of grduation.

六月是台灣大學生畢業的季節，畢業固然值得慶祝，但目前台灣經濟前景不明，許多學生面臨該出社會找工作，還是繼續升學的困難選擇，今天的專題中，帶大家看看為何三分之一的學生，無法在半年內找到工作。


5.新莊環保感恩Tea gathering for recycling volunteers

In New Taipei City`s Xinzhuang(新莊) District, Tzu Chi volunteers organized a tea gathering at the Fuying(福營) recycling station, to thank the recycling volunteers for their selfless dedication. As the recycling station is situated on a major road, Tzu Chi volunteers took the chance to remind recycling volunteers, to be aware of their own safety when volunteering.

在新北市新莊區，慈濟志工在福營環保站舉辦茶會，感恩環保志工的辛勤付出，由於環保站就在車道前面，志工也把握機會，提醒環保志工注意安全問題。


6.廣東普寧環保A new recycling point in Puning City

In Guangdong(廣東) Province, China, a glass factory owner in Puning(普寧) City, recently donated his factory to Tzu Chi, which was later turned into a recycling point. Thanks to this kindhearted owner, recycling volunteers, can now practice recycling in a bigger space.

在中國廣東的普寧市，一位玻璃廠的老闆捐出自己的工廠給慈濟，這個地方也成為了當地的環保點，因為這個熱心的老闆，環保志工現在能有個大一點的地方做資源回收。


7.0630照顧癲癇兒Living with refractory epilepsy

There are about 200,000 epilepsy sufferers in Taiwan, and about 30 percent of them, have the more serious form of the condition, called refra-ctory epilepsy. Next we meet, Lv Siwei(呂思緯), whose brain and motor functions were damaged, by his frequent seizures. However, his mother refused to give up, and finally helped the boy, get a chance at a normal life.

台灣目前約有二十萬人患有癲癇，其中三成是無法以藥物控制，非常難以救治的頑性癲癇，現在為您介紹的呂思緯，就是因為長期的癲癇發作，造成他智力和運動能力受損，但因為他的媽媽從未放棄過，讓他有機會也能擁有正常的人生。

8.約堡腦麻關懷Tzu Chings bring joy to patients

Since 2001, Johannesburg Tzu Chi volunteers in South Africa, have conducted regular visits, to the local United Cerebral Palsy Association,to care for the patients there. Recently, the youth volunteers brought some aid supplies, and spent time singing and dancing, with the UCPA residents.

南非約堡的慈濟志工，從2001年開始，固定會前往當地的UCPA腦麻收容中心，最近慈青帶來一些物資，與跟院生跳舞唱歌。


9.馬素粽義賣Sticky rice dumplings for charity

In Malaysia, to raise funds for the construction of the Penang dialysis and education centers, a two-day glutinous rice dumpling making event, was held at the Ba-tu Pa-hat Liaison Office. Thanks to the help of 125 volunteers, a total of 2,748 sticky rice dumplings were made, which generated more than 5,064 USD dollars in sales.

在馬來西亞，為了籌募檳城洗腎及教育中心的建設經費，峇株巴轄聯絡處，舉辦了兩天的包粽活動，因為125位志工的幫忙，包了2,748顆粽子，募得約5,064美元的善款。

1. 菲仙範發大米

We kick off the show in the Philippines, recently local Tzu Chi volunteers, held a rice distribution, in the City of San Juan, helping a total of 3,784 households.During this event, the volunteers also seized the opportunity, to explain the meaning behind Tzu Chi’s bamboo coin banks, and invited participants to sign up as Tzu Chi members.

一開始來到菲律賓，當地慈濟志工在仙範市舉辦大米發放，共有3784戶家庭領取，活動過程中，慈濟志工和大家分享竹筒歲月精神，並邀請民眾參加慈濟會員。


2. 南非本土愛灑

In South Africa, to recruit more volunteers to their cause. Durban volunteers traveled to Harrismith, to hold a tea gathering, and a two-day home visitation event.The two events not only succeeded, in bringing love and care into the community, but also inspired residents to join Tzu Chi.

南非慈濟志工積極推動本土志工招募，最近德本志工再次前往哈雷史密斯，進行二天愛灑活動，並且下鄉訪視，付出愛和關懷，也激勵許多社區民眾加入慈濟志工行列。


3. 大直居家打掃

In Taiwan, Taipei’s Zhongshan(中山) District Tzu Chi volunteers, traveled to the remote mountainous area of, Da Zhi(大直) to visit senior Chen(陳), who lives on his own. To help the senior, enjoy a comfortable living environment, the volunteers not only cleaned up his house, but also delivered second-hand furniture and a new mattress.

在台灣，台北中山區慈濟志工最近來到台北大直郊區的山上，關懷獨居的陳伯伯，為了讓伯伯可以有個舒適的環境，志工不但幫忙清掃環境，更送上二手家具，還有新床墊。

4. 認識癲癇

In Taiwan, most people don’t know much about epilepsy, and patients are often ridiculed. Even for those, who do know about the disease, they might be misled by old TV soaps, about how to handle someone with epilepsy. However, the proper protocol actually is, elevate the patient’s head, and turn them to their side, and they should recover quickly.

在台灣，社會大眾普遍對癲癇認識不足，患者長期遭受歧視，即使少數認識該疾病的人，也仍停留在電視劇中演過，發作時要如何處理，其實正確的做法是協助患者把頭部墊高，側身平躺，很快他們就能恢復意識。


5. 板橋市場環保

Staying in Taiwan, for three consecutive years, Tzu Chi volunteers Zeng Meiqin (曾美琴) and Wang-Liao Shumei (王廖淑美) of New Taipei City, travel to a nearby traditional market, each day at noon, to collect plastic bags and fruit wrappers. Many vendors were reluctant to cooperate at first, as they felt it was too troublesome, but the pair’s determination, soon moved them to help.

台灣的報導，三年來，慈濟志工曾美琴與王廖淑美，每天中午都會在傳統市場回收水果套袋和塑膠袋，攤商一開始不想配合，因為覺得麻煩，不過兩人的決心很快打動了攤商。

On Charitable Offering

Charity not only comes in the form of donations and relief items; but communicating in a soft and pleasant tone and soothing the minds of others with dharma are also ways of giving. Master Cheng Yen reminds us to cultivate our inner-self and work cooperatively in team efforts; only then will we be able to assist in the development of Tzu Chi.

開示：布施 不只是給予金錢、物資，用柔和悅耳的聲音與人交談，讓人 聞之歡喜，亦是布施；或是運用佛法開導，使之心安平靜，亦是布施。上人教大家用心修學、增長慧命，團隊合和互協，才有力量幫助志業發展。


6. 印習經院自力

In Indonesia, for the past 10 years, Tzu Chi volunteers have built a close partnership, with the Islamic Nural Iman Boarding School. They not only distributed rice and helped build classrooms, but also taught children, Jing Si Aphorisms and Chinese, as well as opened classes for students, to learn necessary working skills.

印尼努魯亞伊曼的伊斯蘭教習經院，與慈濟有近10年的情誼，慈濟人不僅在這發放大米，幫忙援建校舍，也與孩子分享靜思語，學習中文，更提供課程，讓孩子學習一技之長，自力更生。

7. 印童軍推環衛

To enhance public awareness on the importance of environmental hygiene, the Indonesia Ministry of Public Works, organized a Sanitation Jam-bo-ree. Organizers hoped that through the event, students can take back what they have learned, and implement environmental awareness on their school campuses.

為了增進民眾對環境衛生的意識及重視，印尼公共工程部在雅加達舉辦環衛童軍大露營，主辦單位希望藉由此活動，讓年輕學子學習和帶動，進而在印尼的各校園推動環保 。


8. 約堡黃建堂

In Johannesburg, South Africa, there is a steel factory owner, whose wife is currently training to be a certified Tzu Chi volunteer. Seeing the impoverished children in his community, eat from kitchen scrap buckets, and inspired by Tzu Chi Monthly’s story of saving one starfish at a time, the owner has invited the children to his factory to eat every Saturday.

南非約堡有一位鐵工廠老闆黃建堂，他的妻子正在參加慈濟志工培訓，黃建堂看到社區孤兒撿廚餘果腹，也常看慈濟出版品，心生不忍，因此每周六會請這些孩子來工廠用餐。


9. 校長人文營

Recently the Qingshui(清水) Jing Si Hall in Taichung(台中), Taiwan, organized a humanitarian camp, on behalf of 30 school principals and teachers. During the event, a few principals got up, to share how their life, has changed since joining Tzu Chi.

在台中的清水靜思堂，舉辦了一場人文營，與會的是三十位校長和老師，活動中，校長們也分享接觸慈濟後的轉變，一起來看看。


10. 韓灘慈小畢典

Following the Wenchuan(汶川) Earthquake in Sichuan Province, Tzu Chi has helped reconstruct the Hantan(韓灘) Tzu Chi Elementary School in Jintang(金堂) County. Last month, the school officially became the sister school of Tzu Chi schools in Taiwan. Recently, a graduation ceremony was also held, where students were taught to appreciate their parents’ unconditional love.

在中國四川省，汶川大地震後，慈濟援建了金堂縣韓灘慈濟小學，上個月這所學校正式成為台灣慈濟學校的姊妹校，最近在畢業典禮上，學生學習到要如何感恩父母無私的愛。

1. 印91次義診

In Indonesia, TIMA doctors and the local police hospital, joined hand, and held the 91st free clinic, in Kra-mat Ja-ti, East Jakarta. This time the event is joined by 100 TIMA doctors, from three different countries, helping a total of 1,703 patients.

印尼人醫會在東雅加達克拉馬加地鎮，與當地的警察醫院合作，舉辦第91梯次義診，這次動員一百位醫生，來自三個國家的人醫會，幫助了1703位病患。


2. 中美義診

To safeguard the health of the sick and poor, Paraguay Tzu Chi volunteers, held a free clinic, in the city of Asuncion, helping some 500 patients. But first, let’s go to Guatemala, where Tzu Chi volunteers, are holding a free clinic, in the remote area of, Plan Grande Pa-len-cia.

為了幫助生病和窮苦的人，巴拉圭慈濟志工在亞松森市舉辦義診，幫助約五百人。但一開始，我們先到瓜地馬拉，參與慈濟志工在布朗格蘭地社區舉辦的義診。

3. 菲火災發放

In the Philippines, as electricity is very expensive, some residents in slum areas, can only access electricity, through illegal connections, which often leads to electrical fires. Recently, local Tzu Chi volunteers, arrived at two different cities, to distribute aid supplies and rice, to survivors of two recent electrical fires.

在菲律賓，因為電力公司都是私人企業，因此電價高，許多貧民區的民眾因為沒有錢付電，只能非法偷接電，因此時常會有電線走火發生，最近當地慈濟志工來到馬拉汶市和馬尼拉，發放物資給火災災民。


4. 甘肅靖遠訪視

In China, to help needy residents in Jingyuan(靖遠) County, Gansu(甘肅) Province, Tzu Chi volunteers not only built water cellars, but also Da Ai Village, with the first phase completed, and the second one, well underway. Recently, Tzu Chi volunteers visit the area once again, to check on the progess of the construction, and visit the villagers.

在中國，為了幫助甘肅靖遠縣貧窮居民，慈濟不僅為村民蓋水窖，也興建大愛村，在第一期大愛村完工後，第二期工程也正在進行中，慈濟志工前往了解工程進度，也特地上山訪視，把熱鬧還有希望帶進村裡。

5. 搶救失眠(4)失眠解藥

For those that have trouble falling asleep, what solutions outside of, taking sleeping aids are available? In today’s report, we visit a sleep center in Taiwan, to learn some exercises, that can help us get a good night’s sleep.

睡不著或是睡不好，要怎麼樣才能幫助睡眠？今天來到睡眠中心，練習如何把身心放鬆，放下煩惱，獲得一夜好眠。


6. 小天使遺愛

In Taiwan’s Miaoli(苗栗), fourth-grader, Wu Zhenyi(吳振伊), accidentally got tangled in curtain cords, and later passed away. Following the accident, Tzu Chi volunteers provided emotional support, to Wu(吳)’s family, and encouraged his parents, to donate his organs, to help more people.

在台灣苗栗縣，國小四年級學生的吳振伊被窗簾纏住脖子，窒息往生，意外發生至今，慈濟志工一路陪伴膚慰家屬，還鼓勵父母捐出孩子的器官，讓更多人得以重生。

On Spiritual Cultivation

Dharma can be found in each and every one of us as we all have our strengths and weaknesses. We should learn the good points in others, and beware not to make the same mistakes as everyone else. It is in crowds that we cultivate our spirituality, not when we are alone seeking tranquility.

7. 走出癲癇

Last July,Taiwan’s Department of Health, modified its definition of re-frac-tory epilepsy, which differs from regular epilepsy. And with this change, it greatly reduces patients’ disability benefits. Here’s more.

去年七月，台灣衛生署重新定義頑性癲癇的標準，頑性癲癇有別於普通癲癇，這個政策的改變，讓患者減少原有的福利，一起來看看我們的報導。


8. 肌萎張守德

Next, we meet Zhang Shoude(張守德) from Kaohsiung(高雄), Taiwan, who was diagnosed, with spinal muscular atrophy, when he was 8 years-old. Furthermore, before he turn 18, Zhang(張) lost his entire family. However, he has managed to keep a postive outlook on life.

今天帶您看一位來自台灣高雄的張守德，8歲時確診罹患脊髓性肌肉萎縮症，接著，18歲前，身邊的親人相繼往生，但張守德仍然正面面對生命，


9. 內湖環保

Lately, Taipei City’s Neihu(內湖) District Tzu Chi recycling station, has turned into a classroom, educating on the international stage, with visitors from around the globe. After their visits, everyone walks away, with not only valuable lessons on recycling, but also respect for the recycling volunteers.

最近，台北市的內湖環保站變成教室，也發揮了國際教化的功能，學員來自全球，參訪後，大家發願要把這些理念 帶回家，而對志工的投入，也感到尊敬。

1. 情境模擬教學

CPR Annie is a training mannequin that helps emergency workers and members of the public learn how to perform CPR. However, in Taiwan, the mannequin has received an upgrade and can now simulate more than just cardiac arrest. The upgraded mannequin is helping medical staff throughout Taiwan ’s medical centers stay sharp so that they can save more lives. Let ’s take a look.

用來模擬教學的假人安妮，教導急救人員與社會大眾如何做CPR，但是在台灣，這個假人被升級後，如今已可以模擬心跳停止外的狀況，這個升級版的假人，在台灣各大醫學中心協助訓練醫療人員，進行搶救生命的訓練，一起來看看。


2. 印尼助學金

To help impoverished students, Tzu Chi Indonesia Chapter not only provides them with scholarship subsidies, but also job opportunities following their college graduation. This year, 30 scholarship recipients signed employment contracts with Tzu Chi, and vowed to devote themselves to Tzu Chi ’s missions as a way to give back to society and help relieve their family ’s financial burden.

為了幫助貧困家庭的孩子，慈濟印尼分會頒發大學獎助學金，並且畢業後給予工作機會，今年有30位助學生簽定合約，決定承擔慈濟志業，回饋社會，解決經濟困難。


3. 智利老人關懷

In Chile, Father ’s Day is celebrated on the third Sunday of June and recently Chile Tzu Chi volunteers young and old traveled to a senior home in Macul, which is located near the central-eastern part of the Greater Santiago region, to celebrate the holiday with the residents there. Although from different faiths, the festive atmosphere and warmth the volunteers brought with them was infectious.

智利的父親節是六月第三個星期日，最近，智利慈濟志工與小志工專程來到位在大聖地牙哥區中東方的瑪估市黃昏老人院關懷長輩，雖然彼此有著不同的宗教種族，不過志工帶來的歡樂氣氛，讓人感受愛的力量。


4. 搶救失眠(3)陳泰然

In our continuing series on insomnia, today we take a closer look at the effect of academic pressures on sleep patterns. Doctors say that for most people, 7 to 8 hours of sleep is the minimum needed to fully recharge and that long term sleep deprivation can lead to various health problems.

在我們的失眠系列報導中，今天來探討學術研究壓力對睡眠造成的影響，醫生說多數人至少需要7到8小時的睡眠，才有充足的休息，長期的睡眠障礙，可能會導致各種健康問題。

5. 銀髮環保樂團

Taiwan ’s Hondao(弘道) Senior Citizen ’s Welfare Foundation has service stations all over the island. In Taichung City, a senior citizens band was formed at the Qingshui(清水) District Station as the elderly there enjoys singing and playing music. Their musical instruments are all made from recycled materials and their eldest member is a 94-year-old grandfather who has full attendance despite having difficulty walking.

弘道老人福利基金會在全台各地成立關懷據點，在台中清水的這一站，因為長輩們喜歡唱歌與音樂，他們的樂器都是用回收來的材質做的，年紀最大的是94歲的阿公，儘管行動不便，還拿下全勤獎。


6. 馬照顧戶關懷

Moving to Malaysia, in March of this year, Tampin Tzu Chi volunteer stepped into Yu Guang ’s(余光) home, who suffered from cancer. Unfortunately, Yu passed away a month later, but this did not put a stop to the volunteer ’s assistance. They continue to care for the family, and have even inspired Yu ’s family members to continue the cycle of love.

鏡頭來到馬來西亞，今年三月，淡邊慈濟志工來到照顧戶、罹患癌症的余光的家關懷，一個月後余光 不幸往生，可是志工還是持續協助家人，也因此感動了余光的家屬，願意主動來關懷，讓愛繼續循環下去。

7. 大愛心所在(3)菩薩守護靜思堂
From its construction to its official opening, a group of devoted Tzu Chi volunteers reports to the Taichung Jing Si Hall each day to offer help wherever needed. Today, we take a look at this group of volunteers who have safeguarded the hall as their own home and found much joy in devoting their time to it.

從興建到啟用，有一群慈濟志工天天都會來台中靜思堂報到，守護家園，今天我們來認識這一群志工，把靜思堂當成家來駐守，滿心歡喜的付出。


8. 中靜思堂福田

The total area of the Taichung Jing Si Hall covers some 40,000 square meters of space and is ten times larger than the previous Taichung Chapter. Since its opening, over 300 volunteers assemble at the Jing Si Hall early each morning to cleanup the venue, making it spotless and presentable for all who visit.

台中靜思堂的總建築面積大約4萬多平方公尺，比原本使用的台中分會大了十倍，自啟用至今，每天都有三百名福田志工，一大清早就聚集在台中靜思堂，展開清掃的工作，要將場地打掃乾淨，接引更多會眾。


9. 慈小水上運動

Before the summer vacation begins here in Taiwan, Hulien Tzu Chi Elementary School held its 13th annual water sports day. Through the event, teachers hope to educate students the spirit of teamwork and water safety. Here ’s more.

在放暑假前，花蓮慈大附中國小部舉辦第13屆水上運動會，讓大家學習團隊精神，也提醒小朋友注意水上安全，一起來看看。


10. 永和人生講座

Next, we meet Yonghe (永和) Tzu Chi volunteer, Chen Xiuxiu(陳秀琇), who has a relatively short life line on her palm. In Chinese fortune-telling, if a person ’s life line is short, they may have a shorter life expectancy. Thankfully, after Chen(陳) started working as a Tzu Chi volunteer, she became the master of her life and destiny. Her life story, ＂The Sky Beyond＂ is now broadcasting on Da Ai TV. Recently, Tzu Chi volunteers invited Chen and her family to share their stories with members of the public.

在台灣，永和區慈濟志工陳秀琇，生下來生命線就比較短，就算命的來看，生命線短，壽命也不常。直到她走進慈濟，才成為生命與命運的主人，她的故事「手心外的天空」最近在大愛劇場播出，志工邀請本尊和她的家人，分享他們的人生故事。


11. 中和好話街

In New Taipei City, Zhonghe(中和) District Tzu Chi volunteers have been promoting Jing Si Aphorisms to local businesses for the past five years. Every month, the volunteers will visit storeowners door-to-door to replace Jing Si Aphorism posters. The volunteers hope the Master ’s words of wisdom can inspire shop owners and passersby to change themselves for the better.

在新北市，中和慈濟志工過去五年來推動好話一條街活動，每個月志工會到每家店家更換靜思語，志工希望上人的法，能啟發店家以及民眾，有好的改變。

1.德州水患勘災

We start the show in Texas, of the United States, the city of Eagle Pass, which is located near the US Mexican border suffered severe flood damage due to the 36 hours of continuous heavy rains in mid June. An estimated 600 homes were affected. To help, Tzu Chi volunteers in the state visited the disaster zone to survey the damages and will work with the local Red Cross in recovery efforts.

節目一開始，在美國德州位於美墨邊界的伊格帕司德州，在六月中旬連續36小時暴雨，導致水患，估計有六百戶受災，德州慈濟志工前往勘災，與當地紅十字會商討如何協助災民重建家園。


2.大愛心所在(2)台中靜思堂展望篇

Taiwan`s Taichung Jing Si Hall was finally opened at the beginning of this year. Covering more than 40,000 square meters of space, this majestic spiritual ground emits the glory of Buddhism without the need for words. The Jing Si Hall also easily accommodates 3,000 people which will aid the recruitment of future volunteers.

台灣台中靜思堂在今年初啟用，總建築面積將近四萬平方公尺，莊嚴宏偉的道場，無聲說法，是主要的心靈據點，這個靜思堂可以容納三千多人，讓菩薩大招生。


3.中靜思堂香積

Continuing our story of Taichung`s Jing Si Hall, as the path of the hall still need to be completed, local Tzu Chi volunteers not only have to prepare meals for staff members but also construction workers. Luckily with the new kitchen, volunteers are able to prepare delicious and healthy vegetarian food.

持續台中靜思堂的報導，台中靜思堂因為有些地方還在施工，慈濟志工不但得準備食物給職工，還有工地朋友享用，還好，因為有靜思堂的新廚房，讓志工能夠每天準備健康又美味的素食。

4.藥袋聰明用

The Hualien(花蓮) Tzu Chi Hospital recently introduced a new type of prescription bag in order to help patients with drug use safety. On the new bags a QR code and a color picture of the given medication was added. Patients can now refer to the color picture and also use their smartphone to scan the code to access to the hospital`s website for further information.

花蓮慈濟醫院，近來推動新的智慧型藥袋，提升病人用藥安全，在新的藥袋上有QR Code和藥品彩色照片，患者可以依彩色照片，還有利用智慧型手機掃描藥袋上的QR Code，連線進入醫院網站，顯示藥品詳細資料。


5.北慈溫馨小站

Like Hualien Tzu Chi Hospital, Taipei Tzu Chi Hospital is also busy preparing for the upcoming hospital accreditation. To help medical staff focus on the task at hand, Tzu Chi volunteers in northern Taiwan established a service station on the hospital`s fifth floor where they take turns providing delicious vegetarian foods and desserts for medical staff.

就如同花蓮慈院，台北慈濟醫院也即將接受醫學中心評鑑，為了幫助醫院同仁專心通過評鑑，北區慈濟志工關懷不斷，在五樓設置溫馨小站提供餐點與點心。


6.北慈道侶志工

As northern district Tzu Chi volunteers are taking turns helping at the Taipei Tzu Chi Hospital. A Tzu Chi volunteer couple, Zhu Wenjiao (朱文姣)and her husband Huang Zhengrong(黃振榮), have taken it upon themselves to be the main coordinators of the volunteers` work as a way to reciprocate for the love they received.

為了給全體同仁打氣，北區慈濟志工輪流到醫院幫忙，其中一對夫妻志工 ，朱文姣和先生黃振榮，為了感恩醫院對先生手術期間的照護，承擔起志工協調橋梁的工作。


7.搶救失眠(2)手機影響

In recent years not only has insomnia been a problem for adults, but currently there are also reports of children having trouble falling asleep at night. A major reason has been the use of computers or cell phones in the hours preceding sleep, an activity which has been shown to have an impact on the production of melatonin, thus leading to symptoms of insomnia. In our next report, we take a closer look at how our dependence on technology is interfering with our ability to get a good night`s sleep.

近年來，除了大人會失眠，台灣三分之一的孩童也有睡眠的問題，一部分的原因，可能跟睡前使用電腦、手機有關，這樣的活動會影響腦波，以及大腦褪黑激素的分泌，進而造成失眠的問題，接下來的報導，來看看電腦和手機如何影響睡眠品質。


8.減碳素食做起
According to research conducted in Canada, CO2 when emited can stay in our planet`s atmosphere for thousands of years. However, there is an easy way to reduce our carbon emissions and that is to embrace vegetarianism.

根據加拿大的研究，二氧化碳可以在環境中停留千年以上 不會消散，但是其實有一個非常簡單的方式，就可以減少我們的碳排量，那就是吃素。


9.板橋社區推素
Also about going meatless. In New Taipei City`s Banqiao District, Tzu Chi volunteers actively promote vegetarianism by holding cooking lessons in communities on a weekly basis. The dishes are all designed to be easy to make, great tasting and pleasing to the eye so more people will be willing to adapt vegetarianism.

也是茹素的報導，新北市板橋區，慈濟志工積極推廣素食，每個星期由香積志工教導民眾烹煮素食，每道菜都經過精心設計，做法簡單，美味又上相，讓更多人願意嘗試吃素。


10.護生重生

In Taiwan`s Kaohsiung(高雄), we meet 58-year-old steamed bun chef Zhang Xinan(張信安), who suffered an aortic aneurysm two years ago which resulted in paralysis of his left hand. In order to continue in his task of protecting the earth and promoting vegetarian diets, Zhang has tried to recover the use of his left hand. He says, with just one person`s effort and devotion, our environment can be better, therefore, he will carry on with his mission.

在台灣的高雄，58歲的手工饅頭師傅張信安，兩年前罹患主動脈瘤，進行血管開刀手術，沒想到竟壓迫神經，導致左手癱瘓，但靠著護生及推廣素食的使命感，他努力復健讓左手恢復功能，張信安表示，只要多一個人的力量，就能讓我們的環境變得更好，所以他一定會堅持下去。

1.慈技意外關懷Sudden death of a TCCT student

In Taiwan, as the Tzu Chi College of Technology held its final exams, a third-year student was found absent. Later his teachers and classmates found his body on the rooftop. Upon learning of the news, his family members in Keelung(基隆) rushed over, to arrange his funeral. Tzu Chi volunteers were also on site, to comfort the hearts of the family, and classmates.

台灣慈濟技術學院，近來正舉辦學校期末考，但一位大三學生並未赴考，他的老師同學發現他躺在頂樓陽台，家屬得知噩耗後，也趕緊從基隆趕來處理後事，慈濟志工也前來關懷家屬，還有同學。


2.三峽榮民關懷Visiting veterans in Sanxia

Also in Taiwan, Tzu Chi volunteers recently visited a veteran`s home, in New Taipei City`s Sanxia(三峽) District. The volunteers not only helped these seniors trim their nails, but also joined them in songs, showing them that they are not alone.

在台灣，慈濟志工定期拜訪新北市三峽區的榮民之家，不僅為他們剪指甲，陪他們唱唱歌，填補榮民伯伯落寞的心。


3.惟孝幸福首映Honor our parents in a timely fashion

Tzu Chi`s founder, Master Cheng Yen, has always preached to her disciples and the public, that we need to seize every moment, to honor our parents. Thus the Foundation has teamed up, with Taiwan`s Ministry of Interior, to promote filial piety. During which, a short film produced by Da Ai TV, by the name of ”The Name of My Mother” will be shown. Here is a sneak peak.

行善行孝不能等，是慈濟創辦人證嚴上人，一直以來不斷向會眾與大眾強調的觀念，這次內政部和慈濟基金會合作，舉辦惟孝幸福人文講座，並在講座中，播放由大愛電視台製作拍攝的微電影，母親的名字，一起來了解。


4.新山孝親奉茶June is Parent`s Month

In Malaysia, June is Parent`s Month, which gives children an opportunity, to thank their parents for raising them. Johor Bahru Tzu Chi volunteers held a tea serving event, at a local shopping mall, to remind everyone that filial piety can not wait.
六月是馬來西亞的雙親節，讓孩子們 感恩父母親的辛勞，新山慈濟志工在一處購物廣場，舉辦奉茶活動，提醒眾人及時行孝。

People who can get a good night`s sleep, should count their blessings, for about 20 percent of Taiwan`s population or six million people, suffer from in-som-n-ia. Next, we take a look at why people, suffer from sleep-less-ness.

In this era of information explosion, many media outlets, only focus on high ratings and profits, while ignoring the public interest. In our next report, let`s meet non-profit media groups in Taiwan, that are striving to provide truth, goodness and beauty to their viewers.

7.外媒訪內湖Foreign media visits Tzu Chi
In Taiwan, foreign media de-le-gations from 11 countries, visited Tzu Chi Neihu(內湖) Grounds on June 24th. When the group members learned Tzu Chi`s eco-blanket, was made from recycled plastic bottles, they were amazed.

總共來自11個不同國家的媒體參訪團，6月24日到了慈濟內湖園區，當參訪團員碰觸到由寶特瓶製成毛毯時，相當驚訝。


8.大愛心所在(1)中靜思堂緣起Origin of Taichung Jing Si Hall
As the number of volunteers, increased over the years, in Taichung(台中) City, the local Tzu Chi Chapter, could no longer, accommodate the growing numbers. Thankfully, after many twists and turns, a piece of land, was finally acquired, which paved the way, for the establishment of the local Jing Si Hall.

隨著志工人數增長，台中分會場地已經不敷使用，還好，最後百轉千迴，好不容易才取得土地，終於讓台中靜思堂莊嚴落成。


9.中部搬家Central Da Ai news office relocates

To help Da Ai news center in central Taiwan, relocate to their new office at the Jing Si Hall in Taichung(台中) City, Tzu Chi volunteers showed up with recycling trucks. Thanks to the efforts and teamwork, furniture and cameras from the old office, were quickly transported to the new office and properly organized.

為了幫忙大愛台中部新聞中心遷搬到台中靜思堂的辦公室，慈濟志工開來回收車幫忙，師兄們發揮螞蟻雄兵的力量，將物品和攝影器材搬上車，到新的辦公室就定位。

1.馬柔佛煙霾+星口罩發放Surviving Indonesia smog

To clear away forests cheaply, farmers and developers in Indonesia, resort to using fire, to burn down trees; however, the resulting smog, has enveloped nearby Singapore and Malaysia, lowering visibility and affecting citizens` respiratory systems. Here`s more.

為了能迅速、簡單的把樹除掉，印尼的農夫與建設公司，決定在森林裡放火，但所燃燒的煙霧包圍鄰近的新加坡和馬來西亞，影響能見度與危害到居民的呼吸道系統，來看以下的報導。


2.紐食物發放Food distribution in Papatoetoe

In New Zealand, to help families in need, Tzu Chi volunteers worked with, South Auckland`s Community Development and Safety Department, and Papatoetoe`s City Budgeting Services, to come up with a list of low income families, which volunteers planned to distribution food, every two weeks. Since this was the first time, a charity organization, requested to personally deliver the supplies, to those in need, Tzu Chi`s request was at first denied. But eventually, volunteers were finally granted permission.

紐西蘭，為了幫助需要的家庭，慈濟志工透過南奧克蘭社區開發部門，與帕帕托伊托伊社區取得聯繫，針對該社區低收入戶，每二星期進行一次食物發放活動，由於從沒有慈善團體，要求親自把食物送到低收入戶手中，因此一度遭到拒絕，但在最後 終於獲得允許。


3.洛杉磯義診Free clinic aids 3,000 people

In the United States, Tzu Chi volunteers recently held another clinic, in San Bernardino County, California, the second so far, that has been held in this relatively poor district, which lies outside of Los Angeles. Overall, the three-day clinic, served over 3,000 patients. Also making an appearance was Tzu Chi`s new mobile vision clinic, which helped many see the world, in clarity once again.

美國慈濟醫療基金會，第二次在位在洛杉磯外圍的聖博納迪諾地區，舉辦義診活動，3天的義診，估計有超過三千人來看診，大愛眼科醫療車也首次啟用，讓患者拾回光明。


4.印菲優娜就醫Helping 9 yr old Viona

In Cengkareng, Indoneisa, a little girl by the name of Viona, was diagnosed with cardiovascular disease, when she was just 3 years old. Her medical bills, further worthened her family`s financial situation. Upon receiving the news, Tzu Chi volunteers arrived, to offer the family financial assistance, as well as emotional support.giving Viona a chance to receive the best treatment on her path to recovery.
印尼山口洋有一位小女孩，在三歲時被檢查出患有心臟疾病 ，因為家庭不富裕，根本付不出醫療費，慈濟志工得知消息後，從中幫助，給於經濟援助還有膚慰，讓菲優娜有機會接受最好的治療，擁有健康的身體。


5.加東救災訓練Global Medic`s Training Day

Global Medic is a Canadian NGO, based in the city of Toronto, which offers emergency relief services, to disaster victims around the world. Recently the organization, held its annual Rapid Response Training Day, and invited local Tzu Chi volunteers to join them. Both NGOs hope, that they will be able, to work with each other, in future disaster relief works, and together, help more people in need.

在加拿大，駐地在多倫多的全球醫援會，為全球的災難受害者提供救災的服務，最近全球醫援會在多倫多，舉辦了年度的救災演練，邀請當地的慈濟志工參加，全球醫援會和慈濟希望兩個團體能互相合作，未來可以展現更大的力量幫助別人。


6.舊屋修繕Helping care recipient repair house

In Taiwan`s Pingtung(屏東), we meet Tzu Chi care recipient, Mr. Chen(陳), who was the sole bread winner, for his two daughters and parents. Unfortunately, last year a car accident, left him unable to work. Thankfully, Tzu Chi volunteers were by the family`s side. Recently, volunteers discovered, Mr. Chen`s(陳) house had a leak, and decided to help him repair his roof, before the typhoon season begins.

在台灣的屏東，慈濟照顧戶陳先生，獨自撫養兩名女兒及父母，去年一場車禍導致行動不便，無法外出工作，幸好有慈濟志工在身邊，提供必要的協助，近來志工發現，陳先生的住家屋頂破損漏水，於是決定在颱風季節來臨前，幫他進行屋頂修繕。

7.北京敬老關懷A day of bliss with seniors

On June 15th, Tzu Chi volunteers in Beijing(北京), China, visited a nearby nursing home, bringing seniors much bliss and laughter. Through the day`s event, many volunteers say, it was a much rewarding experience. Let`s take a look.

在6月15號，中國北京慈濟志工前往敬老院帶給老人家歡樂，透過當天的活動，志工說是收穫滿滿的一天，一起來看看。


8.0621媒體責任The purpose of the media

Last week, we investigated the impact of Next Media on Taiwan`s media landscape, in the past 12 years. Next, we take a look at the responsibility of media, and why it is important for journalists, to follow a professional code of ethic, when reporting news.

上個禮拜，我們探討壹傳媒，12年來對台灣媒體環境的影響，下一則新聞，我們來探討媒體責任，並且了解為甚麼媒體道德這麼的重要。


9.慈技環教獎TC recognized for environmental work
On June 23rd, the Tzu Chi College of Technology, and the Dalin(大林) Tzu Chi Hospital in Taiwan, both received a National Environmental Education Award, from the Environmental Protection Administration, for their effort in promoting environmentalism. Here`s more.

在台灣6月23號，慈濟技術學院與大林慈濟醫院，因為他們為環保的努力，獲得環保署頒發的國家環境教育獎，一起來看看。


10.慈大追思御慈Coming home to remember

To remember, National Taiwan University, Hospital doctor Zeng Yuci(曾御慈), who was hit and killed by a drunk driver, in June of this year, her former classmates, returned to their al-ma mater, Hualien(花蓮) Tzu Chi University, to perform and speak in her memory.

為了緬懷台大女醫師曾御慈，今年六月因為酒駕枉死，6月23號，曾御慈的同學特地回到母校－花蓮慈濟大學，舉行追思典禮。

1.菲牙科義診Mobile dental free clinic

In The philippines, every month, Tzu Chi volunteers and TIMA members, will hold free dental clinics in different part of the country. Recently a free dental clinic was held in Quezon City`s Barangay Do-na I-mel-da, helping a total of 125 people.

在菲律賓，每個月慈濟志工和人醫會，會定期舉辦行動牙科義診服務，這次在計順市的多納美達里進行，幫助了125位居民。



2.廈門助學發放Visiting scholarship recipients

In China`s Fujian(福建) Province, Xiamen(廈門) Tzu Chi volunteers, visit families of scholarship recipients, every two months. During a recent home visitation, former scholarship recipient, Yang Xin(楊欣), also seized the opportunity, to join the volunteers, as she hoped to share her experience with needy children, and encourage them, to carry on with their studies.

在中國福建省廈門區志工，每兩個月會定期到助學生家中訪視，最近一次的訪視行程中，有位曾是助學生的楊欣也把握機會，跟著慈濟志工進行家訪，希望用自己的親身經歷，鼓勵貧困的孩子努力向學。



3.福州鄭其華Paralyzed Zheng Qihua opens up

Also in Fujian(福建) Province, 10 years ago, 40-year-old Zheng Qihua(鄭其華), fell from a two-story high olive tree, leaving him bedridden ever since. Even with the love and care of family and friends, Zheng(鄭) was not able, to come out of his depression. Thankfully, with Tzu Chi volunteer`s monthly visits, Zheng(鄭) is finally letting go of his dark days, and looking to a brighter future.

也是福建的報導，40歲的鄭其華，十年前從二層樓高的橄欖樹摔下來，從此癱瘓在床，雖然有善心人士，還有親朋好友都會來關心，但他還是未走出陰霾，還好，在慈濟志工定期的訪視後，讓他終於能打開心門，迎向嶄新的未來。


4.城市運轉手(4)Eating safe

In Taiwan, following the recent poisoned-starch incident, and the plasticizer-added-to-beverages incident of 2011, citizen are all wondering ”What food can we eat safely?” Next, we meet green shopper Zhu Huifang(朱慧芳) and soy sauce maker Li Yuqi(李浴祈) , who are trying to tell the general public, to slow down and get back to the basics.

台灣最近的毒澱粉事件，到2011年的飲料中加入塑化劑事件，讓國人不禁想問，還有甚麼東西可以吃？現在為您介紹兩位達人，綠色採買專家朱慧芳，以及手工醬油達人李浴祈，他們要告訴大家，要慢下來，回歸基本面來思考。


5.桃校園素食Vegetarian feast for teachers

Guishan (龜山) Tzu Chi volunteers in Taiwan, recently held a vegetarian promotion event, at Taoyuan`s (桃園) Paul Hsu(徐) Senior High School. Volunteers arrived bright and early, to make a delicious vegetarian feast, for the school teachers. The goal of the event, was to show that, vegetarian food is not only healthy for our body, but also good for our Mother earth.

龜山慈濟志工到光啟高中推廣心素食儀活動，志工一早就到現場烹煮美味蔬食，美味不輸葷食，更將茹素的觀念推廣開來，讓大家知道 茹素能守護個人健康，也能保護環境。


6.花慈評鑑送暖Hualien TCH evaluation nears

With a medical center accreditation just around the corner, Taiwan`s Hualien(花蓮) Tzu Chi Hospital, is gearing up efforts, in preparation for the evaluation. To thank the medical staff for their hard work, each day, volunteers deliver fruits and snacks, to show their care and gratitude.

醫學中心評鑑在即，花蓮慈濟醫院緊鑼密鼓投入準備，為了感謝醫護人員的努力，慈濟志工每天都會送上水果和小點心，表達關心與感恩。


7.0621壹傳媒現象Next Media`s impact on the country
On June 1st of this year, Hong Kong based Next Media, officially sold all the group`s media outlets in Taiwan. 12 years ago, Next Magazine, which is published by Next Media, was first introduced to members of the public in Taiwan. Very soon, Next Media had expanded its businesses to the newsstand industry and later TV industry. In our next report, let`s investigate the impact of Next Media on Taiwan`s media landscape, over the past 12 years.

由港商豎立的壹傳媒，在六月一日正式在台灣劃下句點，12年前壹傳媒旗下的壹週刊 ，在台灣首次發行，很快的，壹傳媒更拓展事業版圖，發行起報紙，緊接著設立電視台，下一則新聞，我們來探討壹傳媒12年來，對於台灣媒體的改變。


8.辛巴威社區共修An emergence of local bodhisattvas

In Zimbabwe, the country`s only Taiwanese Tzu Chi volunteer, Zhu Jincai(朱金財), has raised a troop of 650 local volunteers all on his own. Just like his Taiwanese counterparts, Zhu(朱) leads his team of volunteers into communities, organizing regular tea gatherings, and study groups. At a recent tea gathering, local volunteers shared Tzu Chi`s 10 pre-cepts with participants.

在辛巴威，僅有一位慈濟委員朱金財，他親自帶出了六百五十位的本土志工，如同台灣慈濟人，他帶著本土志工走入社區舉辦茶會共修，在最近的戶外共修，本土志工向民眾介紹慈濟十戒。


9.南照顧戶打掃Helping clean house
Care recipient Grandfather Chen(陳), lives with his wife in a small house, in Tainan(台南) City,Taiwan. Their home is filled with garbage and recycables, that have been collected by the senior. Seeing the unlivable environment, his neighbors called Tzu Chi to come, and help the couple clean up their home.

慈濟訪視個案的陳伯伯，和妻子住在台南小小的平房裏，小小屋子裡，堆滿長年來陳伯伯撿回來的雜物，看到衛生習慣不好的環境，因而向慈濟求助，幫忙陳伯伯整理居家。

1.膚慰溺水父母 Consoling heart-broken parents

We start the show in Taiwan` Pingtung(屏東). Past Tzu Chi care recipients, Mr. and Mrs. Zhuang (莊) recently lost their only son in a drowning accident. Upon learning of the news, Tzu Chi volunteers arrived to accompany the heart-broken parents through this difficult time.

一開始來到台灣的屏東，曾經是慈濟照顧戶的莊姓夫婦，他們的獨子發生溺水意外，得知消息過後慈濟志工用心陪伴這對夫妻，幫助他們度過這個難關。

2. 緬農村學校 TC plans to rebuild 29 more schools

In Myanmar, following Cyclone Nargis, Tzu Chi has finished rebuilding three schools in the City of Yangon. Next, Tzu Chi plans on restoring 29 schools in the farming villages of Thanlyin(天櫻) Township. Recently, volunteers visited the villages to survey the conditions of the schools.

在緬甸納吉斯風災後，慈濟在緬甸仰光援建三所大型學校，接下來計畫要幫助丹茵鎮29所農村學校，最近志工來到農村查看學校的現況。

3. 清邁敬師節 Teacher`s Day to start new school year
June is the start of a new school year in Thailand and for students at the Chiang Mai (將麥)Tzu Chi School it is also a time to celebrate Teacher`s Day. Volunteers hope that by taking a day to honor their educators, students can learn to respect and value the work teachers do on their behalf.

六月是泰國學校，一個新學年度的開始，然而在泰國清邁慈濟學校的學生也是敬師節的時刻，慈濟志工希望透過敬師節讓學生學習尊師重道，表達對師長的敬意。

4. 城市運轉手(3) Taipei MRT controllers

In Taiwan`s greater Taipei metro area, the Taipei Rapid Transit System ferries over 1.6 million passengers on its trains on a daily basis. The mass transit system is like an artery of the city allowing passengers to get to their destination. However, who is working behind the scenes to make sure citizens have a train to ride? We now introduce you to the controllers of Taipei MRT.

北台灣的大台北地區，每天有160萬人次搭乘捷運，捷運就像城市的活動命脈，承載著乘客到達目的地，讓整個城市充滿活力，但是到底是誰，在幕後默默付出，讓大家有捷運可以搭乘，現在為您介紹台北捷運的調度員。

5. 海巡隊愛灑 Hard-working TW Coast Guard
Taiwan`s Coast Guard Administration facility in Miaoli(苗栗) County`s Houlong(後龍) Town is heavily guarded. Over the years, Tzu Chi volunteers have broke down barriers and paid regular visits, hoping to bring some spiritual comfort to these hard working public servants.
苗栗縣後龍鎮的海巡隊門禁森嚴，不過，慈濟志工連續多年拜訪也在此舉辦愛灑活動，讓年輕弟兄能得到心靈上的安慰。


6. 桃園女監關懷 Visiting Taoyuan Women`s Prison
The cast and crew of the Da Ai Drama, “The Sky Beyond” paid a visit to Taiwan`s Taoyuan Women`s Prison on June 19. During this visit Chen Xiuxiu(陳秀琇), the real life character of the story, also showed up to share her experiences with the inmates. Let`s take a look.

在台灣，大愛劇場手心外的天空劇組在6月19號前往桃園女監關懷，主角本尊慈濟志工陳秀琇也親臨現場，跟受刑人分享自己的故事，一起來看看。


7. 麗花護理長追思 Remembering Wang Lihua
Head nurse of Taiwan`s Hualien Tzu Chi Hospital, Wang Lihua(王麗花) passed away from cancer on June 8. For the past 23 years, Wang(王) devoted herself to Tzu Chi`s medical mission, and her determination inspired many to follow her footsteps. At the memorial service, many of Wang`s(王) former colleagues and patients were there to extend their appreciation and blessings.

台灣花蓮慈濟醫院，王麗花護理長，6月8號因癌症往生，投入慈濟志業服務23年，王麗花的付出感動許多人，在追思會上，昔日同事及受到照顧的病患，到場表達對她的思念與祝福。


8. 中醫養生飲 Healthy summer beverages

To cool down during summer time, many of us will drink cold beverages; however, according to Traditional Chinese Medicine this actually has the opposite effect. In our next report, we learn how to make healthy beverages that can keep the heat at bay.

夏天要如何消暑呢? 許多人都會喝起冰品，但是從中醫的角度來看，這樣的動作反而有反效果，下一則新聞，我們來聽聽，台北慈濟醫院的中醫師，如何製作健康又消暑的飲品。


9. 星菩提人文營 2-day humanitarian camp a success

Students of the Maha Bodhi School in Singapore participated in a two-day humanitarian camp organized by their school and Tzu Chi`s Da Ai mothers. The various activities over the two days taught the students much about gratitude and respect, lessons that will stay with them into the next school year.

利用學校假期，新加坡菩提學校和大愛媽媽合作，舉辦兩天的人文教育營，兩天的課程教導學生感恩、尊重、愛，讓未來能受用無窮。


10. 慈少圓緣併 Tzu Shao events in New Taipei City

Also about students learning of gratitude and respect, in Taiwan`s Banqiao(板橋) and Sanchong(三重) Tzu Chi Grounds in New Taipei City, both held events for their Tzu Shaos(慈少). Tzu Shaos` from Banqiao(板橋) and their parents play games to better their parent-child relationships, while Sanchong(三重) Tzu Shaos` performed a sign language musical of Profound Gratitude to Parents and moved many in the audience.

11. 美人文學校畢業 A special Chinese school

In the United States, on June 15th, a graduation ceremony was held at the Tzu Chi Academy in New York City. During the event, graduates performed the sign language musical of “Vow in Action”. Many parents said that Tzu Chi Academy has not only helped improve their children`s Chinese abilities but also taught them valuable life lessons.

美國紐約慈濟人文學校，在6月15日 舉辦畢業典禮活動上，畢業班學生演繹手語、行願，許多家長說，慈濟人文學校不但幫助孩子提升中文能力，更教導他們重要的人生道理。

1.約旦難民關懷 Love & care for Syrian refugees
As long as the unrest in Syria is not solved, the number of refugees would continue to rise. In caring for those who fled their country, Jordan Tzu Chi volunteers extended support in this difficult time. Besides the usual relief supplies, emergency cash is also given at times. The volunteers` monthly hospital visits are also yielding results, as patients there are slowly letting down their guard and starting to confide in the volunteers.

只要敘利亞的問題不解決，難民的數量只會持續增加，為了關懷那些難民，在這個時期， 約旦慈濟志工也展開定期關懷，除了發放物質還有緊急救難金，志工每個月也定期前往醫院進行慰問，不間斷的付出，讓難民終於願意敞開心房跟志工透露心聲。


2. 昆山揭牌 Environmental education center

In Jiangsu(江蘇) Province, China, on June 18th, the Tzu Chi Kunshan(昆山) Environmental Education Center was officially established. The some 1,652 square meters space is filled with environmental concepts and an area in which members of the public can get hands-on experience in practicing recycling.

江蘇昆山，慈濟環保教育基地在十八號正式啟用，占地近1652平方公尺的環保教育基地，除了有許多環保資訊，還有一個場地讓民眾可以動手做環保。


3. 菲父親節發放 Happy Father`s Day celebration

In the Philippines, local Tzu Chi volunteers recently invited 219 care recipients to the local Tzu Chi Chapter to celebrate Father`s Day, which is celebrated on June 16th in the country. During the event, volunteers not only distributed aid supplies to care recipients but also seized the chance to educate the children`s understanding and appreciation for their father`s hard work.

在菲律賓，當地慈濟志工邀請219照顧戶，到當地的慈濟分會參與6月16日的父親節活動，活動中，志工不但發送物資給照顧戶，更利用這個機會教育孩子去了解父親的辛勞。


4. 菲職訓成果 Training program changes lives

To give children of underprivileged families a chance to change their lives for the better, the Tzu Chi Philippines Chapter established the Livelihood Training Program. Through the 4-month course, trainees develop skills that will eventually help them find jobs. Recently, 40 students graduated from the course and said, thanks to the program, their futures are now full of opportunities.

為了讓清寒家庭的孩子有機會扭轉命運，慈濟菲律賓分會成立了技職訓練班，透過四個月的課程，這些學員所學到的技能就能幫助他們就業，最近40位技職訓練的學生畢業了，他們說，因為這個訓練班他們的未來充滿著機會。


5. 柏魯義診環保 13-year commitment to village

For 13 years running, TIMA and Tzu Chi volunteers from Malaysia`s Kedah have been holding free clinics in the village of Bolu, which suffers from a lack of medical resources due to its remote location. In the years that Tzu Chi has been serving the village, volunteers have noticed positive changes in the residents including a stronger emphasis on recycling and volunteering. At their most recent clinic, volunteers not only continued with their ongoing medical care, but also took time to educate the villagers on simple yet important medical topics.

連續第13年，馬來西亞吉打人醫會醫師和慈濟志工 固定來到柏魯村進行義診，柏魯村地處偏遠醫療資援缺乏，慈濟志工多年的義診也看見村民有所改變，他們開始投入做環保，最近一次的義診活動中，志工不但繼續衛教宣導並教育村民重要的醫療知識。


6. 城市運轉手(2) ABRI Fire Experiment Center

Last year, fire accidents in Taiwan have decreased significantly. This is all thanks to a group of scientists who have dedicated themselves to improving on fire safety measures and making sure the materials that go into our buildings meet fire resistant standards. These scientists endure high heat, harmful vapors, tedious preparation and clean-up, and the solitary life of a scientist, just to save lives. Here are the engineers of the Architecture and Building Research Institute`s Fire Experiment Center under the Ministry of Interior.

去年全台灣火災事件明顯減少，這是因為有一群科學家默默做著研究，提升防火安全措施，也確保建材的防火功能，他們默默忍受高溫、惡臭的毒氣，繁瑣的準備與清掃工作與做實驗的孤獨，只為了守護生命，以下是內政部建築研究所防火實驗室的工程師。


7. 校園單車傳愛 Grandpa Huang`s gift

Liyues(鯉魚) Elementary School is situated in a remote village in Nantou(南投) County, Taiwan. This year, seven students will be graduating from the school and they have all been gifted with a new bicycle from the school`s former employee, Grandpa Huang(黃). Although not materially affluent, for the past nine years, the senior has gifted some 50 bicycles to the school`s graduates so that those who study further away from home, may have their own transport to get to school.

鯉魚國小位於在南投縣的偏遠村莊裡，這間學校今年只有七名畢業生，但每名畢業學生都獲得一台全新的腳踏車，新車來自於曾經在學校擔任，工友的黃爺爺雖然家境不富裕，但他連續九年來，買了五十多台腳踏車送給畢業學生，好讓他們上國中時可以有自己的代步工具。


8. 唐氏症泳士 Star swimmer, Xu Zheyuan

Sixteen-year-old Xu Zheyuan (許哲源) of Taichung, Taiwan was diagnosed with Down Syndrome when he was just one and a half years old. Despite his illness, his parents never gave up on him and have supported his passion for swimming. At the 2012 World Down Syndrome Swimming Championships, Xu(許) was awarded two silver and two bronze medals. Not only is he a talented swimmer, but a shining star of Taiwan as well.

在台灣十六歲的許哲源，一歲半時發現罹患唐氏症，得到疾病爸媽不僅不放棄也一直支持他對游泳的熱心，許哲源在2012年的世界盃唐氏症游泳錦標賽贏得兩銀兩銅的獎項，不但游出成就感，也是台灣之星。


9. 警察慰勞 Supporting police officers

To better care for police officers, Tzu Chi volunteers in Taipei, Taiwan have been paying regular visits to local police stations. There, volunteers not only helped these public servants monitor their health, but also provided them with much needed emotional support.

在台灣，慰勞警察人民保母，慈濟志工定期到派出所關懷，志工不但為他們守護健康也給予精神上的幫助。


10. 警察節護大地 Go vegetarian on Police Day

To commemorate Police Day in Taiwan, Tzu Chi volunteers prepared vegetarian meals for officers in Pingtung`s(屏東) Ligang(里港) Precinct. The vegetarian event has been ongoing for seven consecutive years, and many police officers have come to cherish the opportunity to celebrate this event with the Buddhist NGO.

為了慶祝警察節的到來，慈濟志工在屏東里港分局舉辦齋戒活動，活動已經連續舉辦七年，警察同仁把握這個茹素的機會跟著慈濟 一起慶祝。

1. 菲大米訪視 Preparing for San Juan rice distribution

Tzu Chi volunteers recently traveled, to the city of San Juan in the Philippines, to hand out rice to needy families. Prior to the distribution, volunteers arrived for a visit, eight days earlier, to see which families needed Tzu Chi`s help the most, and give them a voucher, to exchange for rice. For both those that received aid, and those that gave it, it was a time of blessings for all.

慈濟志工前往菲律賓仙範市，在貧民區發放大米在發放活動之前，志工提前展開八天的訪視，統計需要援助的家庭並且發放大米券給他們，不論受者或施者這一刻大家都是有福的。


2. 印助學生回饋 Former recipient reciprocates

In Indonesia, former scholarship recipient, Ach-mad Ar-di-an-syah lives with his five siblings. With the family struggling to get by, the chance of him receiving a higher education, seemed almost impossible. However, Tzu Chi`s scholarship aid, opened a window of opportunity, for this family. Now financially independent, he has decided to discontinue Tzu Chi`s aid, and help his siblings, get through school.

在印尼，前慈濟助學生亞迪安夏和其他5個兄弟姊妹一起生活，加上家境不好，所以要念書的可能性更是渺茫，而慈濟的助學金給了這一家人希望，有了讀書的機會，如今有能力改善家庭生活，決定不再申請慈濟的助學金，還要供弟弟妹妹念書。


3. 緬甸三姐妹 Love inspires three sisters

In 2008, Cyclone Nargis tore through Myanmar, and left the country severely damaged, with massive death. Tzu Chi`s post disaster relief, moved and inspired many local residents, and in particular, three Huang(黃) sisters. The eldest sister, Huang Qiuping(黃秋萍) was the first, to join as a kitchen volunteer. Then it was the middle sister, followed by the youngest sibling. Now the three sisters, can always be seen, at local Tzu Chi events, helping out and giving selflessly.

2008年五月，納吉斯風災重創緬甸造成嚴重傷亡，慈濟志工前往緬甸救援讓許多緬甸人民 很感動，例如，黃三姐妹，先是大姊黃秋萍擔任香積志工，接著二姐，後來小妹也一起加入，現在，每次次慈濟活動都可以看到三姐妹無私奉獻的身影。


4. 螢火蟲先生 Mr. firefly, Lai Yinjiu

In our last report on fire-flies in Taiwan, we visited the Chongde (崇德)Elementary School, in New Taipei City, and saw how their fire-fly recovery project worked. Today, we meet Tzu Chi volunteer Lai Yinjiu(賴胤就), who is also a devoted fire-fly conservationist. 20 years ago, Lai(賴) made a promise to his daughter, to start a fire-fly restoration project, which later won national recognition. Following his retirement, Lai(賴) went back to his hometown in Pingtung`s(屏東) Xinpi(新埤) Township, where he converted a wax apple orchard, into a fire-fly conservation farm.

在最近一則的螢火蟲報導中， 我們拜訪了新北市崇德國小，了解他們的螢火蟲復育工作，今天我們拜訪了退休的老師賴胤就，賴老師是位慈濟志工也是熱心於螢火蟲保育，20年前因為對女兒的一句承諾，讓他在學校開始復育螢火蟲，結果贏得全國科展第一名，退休後，他回到老家屏東新埤鄉將兩千多坪的蓮霧園改造成螢火蟲生態復育農場。

5. 楊曉東復健 Yang Xiaodong steps forward

At the end of May, Xiamen(廈門) Tzu Chi care recipient Yang Xiaodong(楊曉東) from China, underwent a hip joint surgery, at the Hualien(花蓮) Tzu Chi Hospital in Taiwan. Thanks to the help of medical staff at the hospital, and his own determination, Yang(楊) has started to learn how to walk once again.

在五月底，中國廈門慈濟照顧戶，楊曉東來到台灣的花蓮慈濟醫院接受髖關節手術，有著醫護人員的幫忙以及他自己的意志力，現在的他已經開始學習如何再一次走路。


6. 北慈心靈講座 Understanding depression

In Taiwan, psychologists of Taipei Tzu Chi Hospital, held a spiritual workshop, to help members of the public, gain a better understanding of depression. Doctors also seized the opportunity, to share tips on how to combat the mood disorder, as they hope to help patients, face their sickness with bravery.

在台灣，台北慈院的身心醫學科醫師舉辦了一場心靈講座，幫助民眾更了解如何面對憂鬱症，醫生們也利用這個機會教導大家如何治療憂鬱症，希望病患能有勇氣面對自己心裡的病。


7. 城市運轉手(1) Used clothes collector

In Taiwan, one might notice large green metal bins, standing on the street corners, of residential areas. They are used as clothing collection bins. People can put clothes, they don`t wear, but are still in relatively good condition, inside a bag first, then deposit the bag in the bin. We now tell you what happens to the clothes, after you put them in the bin, through the inspirational story of, Luo Funeng(羅福能), and remember, do no put anything else, besides clothes inside the bin.

在台灣住宅區的街道上，可能會看到綠色的鐵箱，它們是舊衣回收箱人們可以把不想穿，但狀況還不錯的舊衣服裝進袋子裡再丟到箱子裡，現在透過羅福能激發人心的故事，來了解這些衣服的去向，也請記住，這些回收箱只收二手衣物。


8. 馬黃金英環保 Recycling volunteer, Huang Jinying

In Malaysia, we meet Malacca recycling volunteer Huang Jinying (黃金英), who, for the past five years, has traveled door-to-door, collecting recyclables in her neighborhood. Her commitment not only moved her neighbors, but also inspired her 85-year-old mother, to join her in practicing recycling.

在馬來西亞馬六甲，有一位環保志工黃金英，五年來每天挨家挨戶向鄰居回收資源，他的認真不單是感動鄰居，更感動了八十五歲的媽媽也跟著她一起做環保。


9. 華東華北圓緣 Visiting the birthplace of TC

101 volunteers from China`s east coast, and northern regions, arrived in Taiwan to visit, the birthplace of Tzu Chi. On the last day of their 7-day trip, the volunteers arrived at Jing Si Abode in Hualien(花蓮), to meet with Master Cheng Yen. The Master not only expressed her gratitude to the volunteers, for their years of dedication, but also encouraged them, to spread Tzu Chi`s Great Love far and wide, when they return home.

在台灣， 101位大陸華北華東的志工來到台灣，進行七天六夜的尋根之旅，最後一天來到，花蓮靜思精舍拜見上人，志工們勇猛精進的態度，證嚴上人感恩志工勇於承擔，期待大家能在當地灑下善種之後菩提成林。

1. 緬甸學校移交 Handover ceremony for 2 schools

In Myanmar, following Cyclone Nargis in 2008, many schools in Yongon(仰貢), were left severely damaged. To give students the chance to continue their schooling, Tzu Chi decided to restore three schools. Recently Tzu Chi held a handover ceremony, at the Mayangone(馬揚貢) No.1 High School, to officially return two schools, to the Myanmar government.
在緬甸，2008年納吉斯風災後，許多在仰光的學校都遭受的嚴重損毀，為了讓學生能繼續求學，慈濟決定援建學校最近慈濟在馬揚貢第一中學舉辦了移交典禮，把二所學校移交給緬甸政府。


2. 緬清掃校園 Performance joined by sick student

Continuing on our last report, at the school handover ceremony, held at the Mayangone(馬揚貢) No.1 High School, students put on a sing language performance, of “Fulfill My Dream”, to thank Tzu Chi for giving them, a safe place to study. Let`s take a look.

延續上一則新聞，在馬揚貢第一高中的校園移交儀式上，學生帶來圓夢的手語表演，感謝慈濟讓他們有一個安全的地方讀書，讓我們來看看。

3. 紐歐塔拉發放 Helping needy families

In New Zealand, starting in June of this year, Tzu Chi New Zealand Chapter, has partnered up, with the Budgeting Services Center, in O-ta-ra, Auckland, to hand out bi-weekly aid, to residents in need. At the first aid distribution on June 12th, 25 families received the love and support from Tzu Chi

在紐西蘭，六月份開始，慈濟紐西蘭分會與奧克蘭歐塔拉家庭預算服務中心合作，為低收入戶舉辦兩周一次的發放，首次的發放在6月12號舉辦，有二十五戶家庭受到慈濟志工的關懷。


4. 粵新會所培訓 First in TC`s Tianhe Office

In Guangzhou(廣州) Province, China, a volunteer training seminar, was held at the Tzu Chi Tianhe(天和) office for the first time, and was joined by some 450 trainees, from four different provinces.

在中國廣州 ，天河聯絡處舉辦首次大型志工培訓活動，有來自四省的450名志工共同參與。


5. 粵菩薩雲來集 Trainee seminar in Guangzhou

Next, we meet a Hainan(海南) couple and other volunteers, who traveled from far and wide, to participate the training seminar, held at the Tzu Chi Tianhe(天和) office.

接著帶大家看，來自海南的夫妻檔志工克服萬難來參予在天和聯絡處舉辦的志工培訓課程。


6. 志工整理助評鑑 Preparing for accreditation

In Taiwan, to prepare for the upcoming medical center accreditation, of the Hualien(花蓮) Tzu Chi Hospital, some 300 volunteers, and a team of 120 medical staff, assembled at the hospital over the weekend, to do a thorough clean up of the premises.

在台灣為了花蓮慈濟醫院評鑑作準備，300多位來自宜蘭花蓮的志工們還有120位醫護人員，利用周末一起清潔整理醫院。


7. 簡院長南庄行 Free clinics in Nanzhuang

To ensure that residents, living in Taiwan`s remote mountainous areas, have access to quality medical care, Central TIMA members, hold a free clinic once a month, at Miaoli(苗栗)`s Nanzhuang(南庄). The most recent free clinic, was joined by the superintendent of the Taichung(台中) Tzu Chi Hospital and staff from the Miaoli(苗栗)`s Health Bureau.

為了守護山城居民的健康，中區人醫會每個月一次前往苗栗南庄義診，台中慈院院長簡守信這回也跟著苗栗縣衛生局副局長一起參加。


8. 螢火蟲復育 Firefly recovery project

In our continuing series report, on fire-flies in Taiwan, we take a look at a firefly recovery project, carried out in New Taipei City` Chongde(崇德) Elementary School. with industrialization and urbanization, fire-flies have become only memories in many areas. Thankfully, two decades ago, teachers of the Chongde(崇德) Elementary School, began a program, to preserve the local fire-fly population.

在台灣螢火蟲系列報導中，今天我們來看新北市崇德國小所進行的復育計畫，但是工業和都市化環境，螢火蟲的數量開始大量減少，最近20年來，新北市崇德國小的師生展開了螢火蟲的復育計畫。


9. 馬綠建築 The green Kuala Lumpur Jing Si Hall

The new Kuala Lumpur Jing Si Hall in Malaysia, which is still under construction, was designed to co-exist in harmony with the environment. Many eco-friendly concepts, have been incorporated, into the building`s design, which won the recognition, of the country`s, Green Building Index.

工程還在進行中的慈濟吉隆坡靜思堂，在設計之初就朝著打造環保綠建築為方向，由於包含許多環保設計，獲得馬來西亞綠建築委員會頒發綠建築金級證書。


10. 畢業就業許迎恩 Xu Ying-en`s green adventure

An alumna of Hualien(花蓮)`s Tzu Chi University, Xu Ying-en(許迎恩), did not go back home to Malaysia after graduation. Instead, she and her classmates started an organic farm, and also a vegetarian restaurant right in Hualien, Taiwan, where they actively promote environmentalism.

畢業於，慈濟大學的校友許迎恩，畢業後並沒有返回馬來西亞，而是留在台灣和同學們在花蓮投入經營一家有機農場與一間素食餐廳，向大眾推廣環保愛地球的觀念。

1. 泰國素粽義賣

We kick off the show in Thailand, to celebrate the Duanwu(端午) Festival, Tzu Chi volunteers, community residents, and the mother of a scholarship recipient, gathered together, to make sticky rice dumplings, also known as “zongzi”, for a four-day charity sale. The proceeds collected from the sale, will be donated to help those in greater need.

一開始來到泰國為了慶祝端午節，慈濟志工社區志工以及一位助學生的媽媽聚集在一起，連續四天製作糯米飯糰、 粽子，義賣的錢則會捐出來幫助需要的人。


2. 大陸端陽關懷

In China, Tzu Chi volunteers continue to help the less fortunate, as Fujian(福建) Tzu Chi volunteers took the opportunity, to visit a senior home, during the Dragon Boat Festival. Meanwhile in Guangdong(廣東) Province, those who have received Tzu Chi`s help in the past, joined volunteers in a recent aid distributions, to continue the cycle of love.

中國慈濟志工持續關懷需要被幫助的人，福建慈濟志工在端午佳節期間到敬老院進行關懷，另外，在廣東深圳曾受慈濟幫助的人也加入志工行列，幫助發放工作 持續愛的循環。


3. 新竹畢業奉茶

In Taiwan, Tzu Chi volunteers have been promoting Tzu Chi`s humanistic teachings in schools, and these wisdoms, have taught many students the importance to recricopate. At Hsinchu(新竹)`s Dong Yuan(東園) Elementary School, prior to their graduation ceremony, 6th grade students, sincerely offer tea, to thank their teachers, for guilding them on their path of education.

在台灣，慈濟志工走入校園宣導人文教育，這些智慧讓學生了解到感恩的重要性，新竹市東園國小畢業前夕，六年級畢業生真誠奉茶，感恩師長過去的教誨。


4. 毒海浮生錄(4)

Today, the problem of drug use on school grounds, and drug addiction among students, has become increasingly wide-spread. Statistics show that between 1999 and 2012, offenders between the ages of 20-30, imprisoned for drug use, has increased by 5.6 percent. Today, in our final report, in our series on drug use in Taiwan, we meet university instructor, Liang Mingyi (梁明義), whose very own brother, lost his life to pro-longed drug use. Therefore, Liang(梁) has taken it upon himself, to counsel youths, in hopes that his brother`s misfortune, will not repeat itself, in the next generation.

校園毒品氾濫，學生藥物濫用的情況愈來愈普遍，根據統計 98年到101年間，因吸毒入監的20歲到30歲的受刑人攀升了5.6個百分點，在今天最後一集的系列報導中，我們帶您認識一位大學教官梁明義，梁明義的哥哥就是因為吸毒毀了一生，最後暴斃，梁明義因此在校園內服導青少年，希望哥哥的悲劇不會在下一代身上重演。


5. 種梨戒毒助弱

Liu Zhanxian(劉展憲) from Taichung(台中), Taiwan, was addicted to drugs when younger. Developing audi-tory hallucinations, as a result of pro-longed drug use, and facing the loss of those close to him, forced Liu(劉) to re-examine his life. Thanks to the support of his childhood friend, Liu(劉) was finally able to kick his habit, by concentrating on farming Asian pears. Now 54, Liu(劉) is a successful farmer, and donates his proceeds to help those in greater need.

台中市的劉展憲，年少時染上毒癮，腦部受損出現幻聽，親朋好友一個個離去，他才驚覺不能再荒唐度日，所幸有好友的支持，跟朋友一起種水梨，讓他成功戒毒，今年五十四歲的劉展憲是個成功的農民，他還會捐錢幫助弱勢團體。


6. 慈濟反毒隊

Kaohisung(高雄) Tzu Chi volunteers in Taiwan, recently visited Liugui(六龜) Elementary School, to educate students on the dangers of drug abuse. Volunteers thoughtfully prepared video clips, that showed the effects of drugs on the human body, which was followed by a Q and A session. The volunteers hope through the seminar, students can bravely say “No” to drugs.
台灣高雄慈濟志工，最近來到六龜國小宣導毒品的壞處，志工貼心的準備影片，告訴孩子吸毒對身體的壞處，接著還有問答題，希望透過今天的活動，學生可以勇敢的向毒品說 不。


7. 賞螢亂象

In Taiwan, the fire-fly breeding season, starts in April, during which visitors and amateur photographers alike, swarm to their breeding grounds, to capture the beauty of the glowing creatures. However, humans bring not only light pollution, which affects the insects` mating process, but also litter and human footprints, that threaten the species itself. Currently, the population of Taiwan`s fire-flies has already dropped from 1.4 million to 1 million. Unless this problem is dealt with, our future generation, may no longer be able, to see the magic of the fire-flies` dance.

台灣每年四月開始進入，螢火蟲的繁殖季節，大批的遊客及喜好拍照的人，在此時湧入有螢火蟲的地方，為了捕捉點點螢光的美，但是人類帶來不只是影響螢火蟲交配的嚴重光害，還有遊客留下的垃圾和足跡，種種破壞讓螢火蟲數量，從140萬隻銳減到100萬隻，如果再不重視這樣的警訊，未來恐怕很難再看到螢光點點的飛舞。


8. 永和警察節

Police Day is celebrated on June 15th in Taiwan. To make this year`s celebration a little bit different, the chief of Yonghe(永和) Police Station in New Taipei City, decided to invite all police in his district, to a Police Day Games. Through competitions, officers strengthened their bonds with each other and their family. Tzu Chi volunteers also showed up to show their support and also seized the opportunity, to encourage the officers to cherish resources.

在台灣，警察節是6月15號為了讓今年的活動有點不同，新北市永和分局的局長決定舉辦運動會，邀請轄區裡的警員都來參加，透過活動帶動加強警員之間還有家人之間的情誼，慈濟志工也前來支援。


9. 慈濟府院拜會

Stay in Taiwan, Tzu Chi volunteers from the United States, did not return home immediately, at the conclusion of the Tzu Chi Annual Board Meeting. Instead they visited the Presidential Palace and the Legislative Yuan, to meet with government officials, to thank them for helping Tzu Chi, carry out its international relief works.

在台灣，慈濟多國董事會已經落幕，但美國慈濟志工卻沒有馬上返國，而是前往總統府與立法院，拜會政府官員，感謝台灣政府，對慈濟國際賑災的護持，一起來看看。

1.廈門火災關懷 Comforting families of fire victims

We start the show in China, on June 7 th, 47 people died and 37 were left injured as fire engulfed a BRT bus, which stands for Bus Rapid Transit, a mass transit system in Xiamen. Tzu Chi volunteers rushed to the scene after hearing the news, and for the past few days have done their best to comfort and console the families of victims-many who have not left the hospital since the tragedy occurred.

先帶大家到中國，6月7號，廈門快捷轉運公車，BRT公車，發生縱火案，共造成47人死亡34人受傷，慈濟志工得知消息後，馬上趕到現場進行膚慰，過去幾天來，志工向受害者的家屬，提供必要的關懷，許多受害者在事件發生後，還留在醫院治療。


2.縱火社區關懷 Zhonghe house set on fire

Next is another fire story, but set in Taiwan. A couple of days ago in New Taipei City`s Zhonghe(中和) District, a home was intentionally set on fire. As the police conduct their investigation, Tzu Chi volunteers quickly arrived to comfort the startled neighborhood with Master Cheng Yen`s words and blessings. Here is our report.

接下來也是火災的相關報導，在台灣，幾天前，新北市中和區一處民宅，發生縱火事件，在警方進行調查的同時，慈濟志工也前來，用證嚴上人的法語，為飽受驚嚇的居民送上祝福，以下是我們的報導。


3.馬健檢跨種族 Helping women refugees

According to a 2008 report of the Malaysian Radiological Society, the No. 1 and No. 2 killers of women are breast cancer and cervical cancer. Out of every 100 Malaysian women who are diagnosed with cancer, 31 suffer from breast cancer and 12 from cervical cancer. With regular health check-ups key to discovering these forms of cancer in the early, treatable stages, the Malaysian government enlisted the help of Tzu Chi volunteers to hold a free clinic for the country`s many Burmese refugees. Officials hope that such steps will leave these women better informed of possible health risks and the need for regular check-ups.

根據大馬放射線協會2008年資料顯示，大馬女性的第一和第二號殺手，就是乳癌與子宮頸癌，平均每100位大馬女性癌症病患中，就有31位患上乳癌，12位患上子宮頸癌，因此，定期健檢才能早期發現，提前治療，大馬政府邀請慈濟，為緬甸難民婦女，舉辦健康檢查，希望難民婦女，對婦女病提高警惕。

4.安養端午關懷併+花東端午送粽 TC sends love to all corners

To celebrate Dragon Boat Festival in Taiwan, Tzu Chi volunteers made many vegetarian sticky rice dumplings to share. Taitung(台東) and Hualien(花蓮) Tzu Chi volunteers visited their local police stations, while New Taipei City and Penghu(澎湖) volunteers visited nursing homes. No matter who the volunteers visited, the sentiments were the same as they hoped to fill hearts as well as stomachs.

為了慶祝端午節，在台灣，慈濟志工製作了很多素粽，要與大家分享，台東與花蓮的志工們，送愛心粽到當地的警察局，另外，新北市與澎湖的志工們，也來到安養院進行探訪，無論志工訪視的對象是誰，都是一樣，希望大家吃進肚裡，也能溫暖在心底。

5.慈濟粽分送愛+粽送獨老消防 Happy Dragon Boat Festival

Also celebrating Dragon Boat Festival areTaipei and Kaohsiung Tzu Chi volunteers, who made delicious vegetarian zongzi. The love-filled snacks were later given to recycling volunteers and care recipients. Furthermore, volunteers also thoughtfully handed out zongzi to local police officers, as a way to express their gratitude to these hard working guardian angels.

為了慶祝端午節，台北和高雄慈濟志工總動員，包起美味的糯米飯糰、粽子，這些包滿著愛的粽子，要發送給環保志工和慈濟照顧戶，並且，志工也貼心發送這些粽子，給當地的警察，慰勞人民保母的辛勞。


6.盲居關戶包粽 Ms. Xiao makes zongzi

In Taiwan, a 72-year-old Tzu Chi care recipient, Ms. Xiao(蕭), lost her sight because of a car accident. And while hospitalized, her adopted daughter abandoned her. Left with nothing, the senior felt she was at the last straw. However in the past 12 years, with Tzu Chi volunteer`s love and care, Xiao(蕭) has finally let go of her past, and began life anew. Treating the volunteers like daughters, mama Xiao(蕭) makes sticky rice dumplings to share with them every year during Dragon Boat Festival. Let`s take a look.

在台灣，有一位七十二歲慈濟關懷 蕭媽媽，因為車禍導致雙眼失明，而養女在她住院期間，離她而去，一無所有的蕭媽媽，曾對生命感到絕望，不過，慈濟志工12年來的關懷，讓她勇敢跨出幽谷，展開新生活，與志工情同母女的蕭媽媽，每年的端午節，還會親手包粽子，和志工一起享用。


7.馬素粽義賣 Zongzi for charity sale

In Malaysia, to mark the Dragon Boat Festival, Tzu Chi volunteers in Kedah joined together to make sticky rice dumplings, for an upcoming charity sale, to raise funds for the new dialysis center and education building. Let`s take a look.
在馬來西亞，為了慶祝端午節，吉打的慈濟志工，一起做粽子義賣，為慈濟洗腎中心，與教育大樓建設基金籌款，一起來看看。


《 衲履足跡 》談貪念 On Desire

People are always searching for some new form of excitement. This insatiable need for `bigger and better` only serves to exhaust the earth`s resources. We should try to temper this desire in our hearts and replace it with love and an understanding of the importance of cultivating blessings. In this way, we protect the environment and create a life of peace and abundance.

人心喜新厭舊、汰舊換新的欲念，使得大地資源快速消耗、能源用量增加。希望生活平安，唯有人人節制，化貪念為愛心，惜福、造福，才能保護大地環境，維持平安富足。


8.毒海浮生錄(三) Confession of a former drug user
The number of youths involved in drug use in Taiwan has been on the rise over the years. What`s even more concerning is that these drugs have found their way onto school campuses. According to statistics released by the Department of Health`s Food and Drug Administration, 55.8 percent of drugs given to users are not supplied by dealers, but in fact by students, colleagues or friends. Today, we look at the story of a college student whose one wrong step tarnished him for life. Regretful for his actions and determined to start anew, not only has he refuted the use of narcotics, he also encourages his friends not to let their life go to waste with continued use.

台灣青壯年吸毒的人口大幅增加，而毒品入校園的現象，更是愈來愈嚴重，行政院衛生署，食品藥物管理局的資料顯示，吸毒者取得毒品的最大來源不是毒犯，高達百分之55.8，居然是來自同學、同事或朋友。今天來看一位大學生，當初因為走錯了一步，卻只能揹著這個，莫須有的大污點，他現在化悔恨為動力，展開新生活，不但勇敢向毒品說不，還勸誡吸毒的同學，不要因為一時的誘惑誤了寶貴的青春。


9.慈大附中畢典 Tzu Chi High School graduation

In Hualien,Taiwan, on June 12th, a graduation ceremony for 471 students was held at the Affiliated Senior High School of Tzu Chi University for the high school, elementary and kindergarten divisions. On stage, students performed a sign language song to express their gratitude to their teachers` love and support. Meanwhile, a father also went on stage to thank Tzu Chi for changing not only his son but also himself.

在台灣花蓮，6月12日在慈大附中舉辦了一場畢業典禮，有高中部、國小部以及幼兒園，471位學生參與了，這次的典禮，在台上，學生利用手語歌曲，表達對老師的感謝，同時一位父親更上台，感恩慈濟改變了他的兒子，還有他自己。


10.志工尋根之旅 China TC volunteers pays a visits
Tzu Chi volunteers from Eastern China recently traveled to Taiwan to visit the birthplace of Tzu Chi. Before going to Hualien, they first visited Taichung Tzu Chi Hospital, where they learned more about the NGO`s unique brand of medical services. Many of the volunteers said this trip to Taiwan has given them a chance to gain a better understanding of Tzu Chi`s humanitarian spirit and mission.

大陸華東志工，來台灣進行尋根之旅，第一站參訪台中慈院，感受到慈濟，在醫療人文方面的努力，華東志工說，這趟行程讓他們有機會，更了解慈濟的人文與志業。

Lastly, in Taiwan`s Taichung, Parents Association for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities set up a recycling station for those who suffer from mental disabilities and are unable to find a regular job to make ends meet.
