1. 南投災情綜合 & 台中地震災情 Quake rattles Central Taiwan

We kick off today`s program in Taiwan, at 10:03 in the morning of Wednesday, March 27th, an earthquake of 6.1 magnitude struck Nantou(南投) County`s Renai(仁愛) Township, and the tremor was felt by many cities and townships around the island. To date, the death of a 72-year-old woman has been confirmed in Nantou, who was killed by a collapsed wall close to home. Some 80 injuries have also been reported and several buildings island-wide were damaged.

3月27號早上大約十點多，台灣中部發生強烈地震，台中市有五級的震度，而南投仁愛鄉發生規模6.1的強震，而全台各地都感受到這個地震，南投有一位七十二歲的婦人被倒塌的圍牆壓死，約80多人受傷，有許多建築物毀損情形也不少。


2. 希望學校抗震 Quake shakes hearts

The sudden tremor which shook Central Taiwan on the morning of March 27th, rattled the hearts of students and teachers in schools around the island. Security cameras captured teachers of Heping(和平) Elementary School, leading their students to seek cover on their sports field, while the school reconstructed by Tzu Chi`s Project Hope in the aftermath of the 9/21 Earthquake - the Taiping(太平) Junior High School, withstood the quake with the structure remaining undamaged.

在中台灣，3月27號早上的地震來的太突然，嚇壞了這裡的學生和老師，台中市和平國小的監視器拍下地震瞬間，老師帶著學生先跑到空曠的操場避難，而九二一大地震時，由慈濟希望工程協助重建的太平國中都很平安，而建築主體結構沒有受損。


3. 菲火災發放併 Fires in two cities

Also on disasters but moving to the Philippines, two fires broke out in the cities of Manila and Ma-la-bon, leaving some 300 households without roofs over their heads. After a quick disaster assessment, Tzu Chi volunteers quickly arrived to hand out daily necessities, bringing both aid supplies and emotional support to the victims.

也是災情的報導，但在菲律賓馬尼拉市和馬拉本市接連都發生大火，造成近三百戶家庭無家可歸，慈濟志工在勘災後為他們送來生活用品，希望安撫他們的身心靈。


4. 蘇慈濟園區啟用 & 蘇啟用反應 An affair to remember

In Jiangsu(江蘇) Province, China, the Tzu Chi Suzhou Health Promotion Center, has been on a trial run beginning September of last year. Since then, the medical institute, aimed at raising awareness on the importance of health prevention, has won the support of many local residents and government officials. In conjunction with the Tzu Chi Suzhou Grounds, which is the first Tzu Chi chapter grounds to be established in the nation, the two held a grand opening ceremony on March 27th.

在中國的江蘇慈濟健康促進中心，其實從去年九月就開始試營運了，也藉此提升民眾健康預防的重要性，此舉也受到官員高度的認同，健康中心也與蘇州慈濟志業園區一起，同時也在3月27日舉辦啟用典禮。


5. 蘇州園區特色 Features of Suzhou Tzu Chi Grounds

Following the opening ceremony on March 27th, the Suzhou(蘇州) Tzu Chi Grounds and Health Promotion Center has officially opened to the public. In our report on Suzhou(蘇州) yesterday, we learned of Tzu Chi`s 20 years of charity work in the country. In today`s report, we go back 900 years ago, where during the Song(宋) Dynasty, Fan Zhongyan, (范仲淹)a renowned politician and literary figure, set up a charitable service here to serve the poor and needy.

3月27號在蘇州慈濟志業園區以及健康促進中心正式啟用，二十多年前，慈濟開始在大陸幫助有需要的民眾，而在900年前，中國北宋時期，范仲淹就創辦義莊義學，幫助窮困的人民。


6.貴州助學訪老 Visiting a nursing home

Staying in China, Guangdong(廣東) Tzu Chi volunteers and their scholarship recipients recently visited a local nursing home in Luodian(羅甸) County, Guizhou(貴州) Province. During the event, volunteers not only prepared sing-along songs, but also danced the day away with the senior residents.

中國廣東慈濟志工和助學生前往貴州羅甸的一間敬老院關懷長輩，活動上志工準備歌曲合唱也與老人們 一起共舞。


7. 新澤西制服發放 Handing out uniforms to students

In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy in the United States last October, Tzu Chi volunteers carried out a series of immediate and mid-to-long term relief work to help the disaster victims. In Atlantic City, New Jersey, many children from the Texas Avenue School, have lost their school uniforms after the flooding, and could not afford to purchase new ones. Upon learning of the situation, Tzu Chi volunteers soon arrived to hand out new uniforms to these youngsters.

在去年的桑迪風災後，慈濟志工持續關懷災民，位在新澤西的大西洋城，德克薩斯街小學的學生，因為家裡淹水，制服沒了而且無法負擔添購的費用，當慈濟志工得知這樣的狀況便送了新制服給學生。


8. 父母恩倒數準備 The crew behind the musical

Back to Taiwan, as the musical adaptation of the Sutra of Profound Gratitude to Parents, is set to happen this weekend in Hualien, a crew of volunteers and staff members are working tirelessly to ensure the smooth running of the event. Although these behind-the-scenes volunteers may not get the glory of those on-stage, but they are none-the-less just as important.

在台灣，父母恩重難報經演繹這週末要在花蓮上演，一群志工與工作人員加緊趕工為了演出順利，雖然他們都是幕後人員，可是都是不可缺的角色。


9. 慈青關懷 Tzu Chings giving to the needy

While students in Tzu Chi`s Education Mission in Hualien are practicing for their musical, Tzu Chings from the Yuan Ze(元智) University in Taoyuan(桃園), invited students to join them on a trip to a special home. And their counterparts from the National Penghu(澎湖) University of Science and Technology, visited their local nursing home to care for the senior residents there.

花蓮教育志業的學生，在努力練習手語的同時，桃園元智大學的慈青邀請學生到教養院做關懷，而在澎湖科技大學，慈青則前往老人院探訪居住在這裡的長者。

Coming up in today`s show, in China`s Jiangsu(江蘇) Province, we join the preparation work of the opening of the Tzu Chi Suzhou Grounds and Health Promotion Center.

In Taiwan, teachers and students of Tzu Chi`s Education Mission in Hualien, are practicing hard for the upcoming musical this weekend.

And, members of the Tzu Chi Teachers Association, are traveling to different areas of Taiwan and China, to share their teaching experiences.

1.蘇揭牌準備Preparing for grand opening

First up in China`s Jiangsu(江蘇) Province, the grand opening of the Suzhou(蘇州) Tzu Chi Grounds and Tzu Chi Suzhou Health Promotion Center took place yesterday, on March 27th. With much to be done before the celebration, Suzhou Tzu Chi volunteers and their counterparts from Taiwan, as well as the Da Ai TV crew, all gathered for the final preparation work.

首先來看中國蘇州，慈濟志業園區的啟用典禮，以及蘇州慈濟健康促進中心，在三月二十七號舉辦啟用典禮，在典禮前，很多瑣事要做，台灣的數百名志工、大愛台同仁，和大陸蘇北地區志工，都來到園區全心投入一起準備。


2.慈濟蘇州因緣Tzu Chi`s 20 years of charity work

Tzu Chi`s work in China dates back to some 20 years ago, when the 1991 Eastern China floods left hundreds dead, and tens of thousands homeless. Against all olds, Tzu Chi carried out a series of relief work to help the flood victims. Since then, the Buddhist NGO continued its charity work to help the needy in all areas of the nation. This year, with the opening of the Tzu Chi Suzhou(蘇州) Grounds and Health Promotion Center, volunteers all vowed to continue spreading Great Love and safeguarding the health of all residents.

慈濟在大陸的發展，已有20多年的歷史，1991年華東水患造成上百人往生，以及上萬人無家可歸，即便反對聲音不斷，慈濟展開一連串的賑災工作協助災民，從此，慈濟持續協助在中國各個鄉鎮，展開慈善工作 ，如今，慈濟蘇州志業園區以及健檢促進中心的啟用，志工們更發願持續散撥愛的種子 ，並守護鄉親們的健康。


3.父母恩中年級Sutra perfomance on March 30th

In Taiwan, teachers and students from Tzu Chi`s Education Mission in Hualien, will be putting on a sign language musical of the Sutra of Profound Gratitude to Parents on March 30th. As the musical is just some 48 hours away, Tzu Chi Elementary School students are seizing every opportunity to practice their movements.

在台灣花蓮，慈濟教育志業體演繹的父母恩重難報經，即將在3月30日公演，眼看表演即將到來，花蓮慈濟小學的小朋友利用機會加緊練習。


4.惟孝余品宏How to be a filial child?

As a homeroom teacher at the Experimental Elementary School of Tzu Chi University in Hualien, Taiwan, Yu Pinhong(余品宏) says, he realized what it means to be a good and filial son, only after becoming a father himself. This was part of his decision to give up his teaching job in North Taiwan and move back to Hualien. As well, to help his own students at school realize the importance of keeping family bonds tight, Yu(余) designed a ”Filial Deposit Passbook” to encourage students, to express their appreciation and love to their parents on a daily basis.

對花蓮慈小導師余品宏來說，已為人父的他，有了孩子，才了解作為孝子的意義為何，也讓他決定來到花蓮任教，為了讓慈小孩子也能了解孝道的重要性，他開始推動「孝親存款簿」，鼓勵孩子每天表達對父母的愛。


5.海地台商參訪Visiting school building site

Following a devastating earthquake in Haiti in 2010, Tzu Chi volunteers established a school rebuilding project for the Congregation of the Sisters of Saint Anne. Taking the opportunity of a business trip to Haiti, some 20 Taiwanese businessmen from the United States, visited the construction site, and were all deeply moved to see the building as they have previously made donations to Tzu Chi for the project.

2010年海地強震後，慈濟展開學校援建計畫，為聖恩修女會援建三所學校，利用來海地出差的機會，來自邁阿密約二十人的台商團，特地來了解慈濟的希望工程，有些人就說他們特別感動，因為他們當時也捐款給慈濟。


6.上海教師聯誼+竹東教師研習TCTA educates fellow teachers

Members of the Tzu Chi Teachers Association are currently traveling to different schools in Taiwan and China, to share with other teachers on how to best incorporate Jing Si Aphorisms into their curriculum. However, we first tag along with a group of these volunteers who traveled to Shanghai, where they shared with local teachers how using love can close the gap between students and teachers.

慈濟教師會，特地來到不同學校，教老師們怎麼樣把靜思與融入教學，但是首先我們先跟一群教師會友們，到上海的教師聯誼活動，看他們 分享教學經驗，要怎麼用愛拉近與學生的距離。


7.馬幼兒環保Teaching children to do recycling

Moving to Malaysia, to raise children`s awareness on environmentalism, teachers from the Penang Tzu Chi Kindergarten asked tehir students to bring newspapers and plastic bottles from home every Friday morning, to teach them how to sort recyclables.

在馬來西亞，為了提升小孩的環保意識，檳城慈濟幼兒園，每周五讓小朋友把家裡的報紙、寶特瓶帶到學校，老師在旁教導如何分類。


8.馬腎友回饋Dialysis patient reciprocating

Staying in Malaysia, we meet hepatitis C sufferer, Wu Yude(吳裕德), whose dialysis expenses are much higher than ordinary dialysis patients. Just as he was about to give up on life, Tzu Chi showed up to help sub-si-dize his medical fees. To express his gratitude to the organization, Wu(吳) not only took part in the fundraising campaign for the new dialysis center in Malaysia, and also joined his wife in attending Tzu Chi`s events.

在馬來西亞，患有腎病的吳裕德，因為洗腎費用較一般洗腎病患要來得貴，他一度想要放棄自己，幸好有慈濟補助醫藥費，吳裕德因此轉為感恩，不但為馬來西亞洗腎中心募款，也和太太一起參與慈濟活動。


9.印志工張佩玲Tzu Chi volunteer, Thio Pei Ling

A rice distribution in Indonesia`s Bandung in 2003, is when the-now Tzu Chi volunteer Thio Pei Ling, first met the Buddhist NGO. The volunteer had always wanted to join the organization, as she identifies with its philosophy, but never had the opportunity to do so until 2003. Today, as a grandmother of six, Pei Ling says, as long as she is health, she will continue to serve her community.

在2003年，印尼萬隆的一場大米發放，促成了張佩玲和慈濟的因緣，張佩玲一直很認同慈濟理念，非常想加入付出，直到2003年才有機會，也已經是六位孫子的奶奶了，張佩玲說只要身體健康，就要繼續幫助社會。

1.印尼精進圓緣500 volunteers gain wisdom

In Indonesia, a Tzu Chi volunteers intensive training seminar, was held from March 22nd to 24th. Nearly 500 volunteers from 15 different areas of the country, gathered at the Jing Si Hall in North Jakarta, to take part. After the 3-day seminar, everyone went home wiser, and inspired to spread Tzu Chi`s message to more people.

印尼分會從3月22到24日，舉辦四合一幹部精進研習營，近五百位來自十五個城市的志工，聚集在北雅加達的靜思堂，經過三天的課程洗禮後，大家對慈濟都有更進一步的認識。


2.福建助學頒發Scholarship for needy students

In China, Fujian(福建) Tzu Chi volunteers traveled to Xiamen(廈門) and Nanjing(南靖) to hand out scholarships to underprivileged students. At these visits, volunteers not only distributed much needed tuition help, but also shared words of wisdom with these youngsters, in hopes of guiding them on the right path in life.

在中國，福建慈濟志工前往廈門以及南靖，頒發助學金給需要的學生，在這活動中，這些志工們不只送上需要的助學金，也分享靜思語的智慧，希望鼓勵並且引導學生走在人生正確的道路上 。


3.義大利家訪Visiting last year`s quake survivors

In May of 2012, two earthquakes with a magnitude of 6.0 and 5.8 hit Italy. Since then, Tzu Chi volunteers have carried out two relief distributions, to help those affected by the quakes. Recently, volunteers once again carried out home visitations to see how residents are recovering.

2012年五月底，義大利接連發生規模6.0及5.8強震，慈濟志工從去年到現在，進行兩個梯次的發放，協助受災鄉親，這次志工展開家訪，了解居民的生活狀況。

4.父母恩媒體合作Promoting upcoming musical

In Taiwan, teachers and students from Tzu Chi`s Education Mission in Hualien, will be putting on a sign language musical, of the Sutra of, Profound Gratitude to Parents on March 30th. On Monday, the Tzu Chi Foundation held a media conference, to promote the upcoming performance to members of the public.

在台灣，花蓮教育志業體的師生，將在三月三十日表演音樂手語劇－父母恩重難報經，而這星期一 ，慈濟基金會透過記者會，希望宣傳這次的活動。


5.惟孝幸福總論A core of Chinese value - Filial Piety

In our new series of reports on filial piety, we look at the eight aspects of life, which leads to happiness. If someone were to ask, what is happiness, everyone would have their own idea, on what brings happiness. The foundation of traditional Chinese values, lies in a harmonious family, and filial piety is an in-te-gral part of that. Hence, the first lesson towards finding a life of happiness, is to fulfil filial duties towards our parents.

在惟孝幸福的系列報導，要帶您認識幸福人生的八堂課，如果有人問您，什麼是幸福？相信每個人的心中都有自己的答案 ，在中國傳統觀念，幸福的人生是在於一個美滿的家庭，因此孝敬父母也是重要的一部分 ，然而，幸福人生的第一堂課，就是孝順父母。


6.台中熄燈日Safeguarding the planet

In Taiwan, on March 23rd, as part of Earth Hour, Central District Tzu Chings from various universities, seized the opportunity to remind everyone, of the importance of safeguarding the planet. First, we go to Tunghai(東海) University in Taichung City, to see how Tzu Chings there, are passing on environmental concepts to their fellow students.

在台灣，3月23日世界關燈日，好幾所大學的慈青利用機會提醒大眾，保護地球的重要性，一開始，我們先到台中東海大學，來看看那裡的慈青，是如何傳遞愛護地球的觀念給其他學生。


7.崑科大夜環保+校慶宣導環保Promoting environmentalism on campus

At the cen-ten-nial anniversary of Dapi(大埤) Elementary school, Yulin(雲林) Tzu Chi volunteers, seized the opportunity to educate members of the public, on the importance of environmentalism. While in Tainan(台南), at the Kunshan(崑山) University, on the day of their regular recycling, Tzu Chings encouraged other classmates to pratice recycling.

慈濟志工得知雲林大埤國小，將要舉辦百年校慶活動，因此把握機會宣導環保理念，而台南崑山科技大學的慈青，在每周固定做環保的活動中，呼籲同學加入省能的行列。


8.環保站啟用Environmental education center opened

Here in Taiwan, the largest recycling station in southern Taichung(台中) City, recently opened its doors to community members. Once an abandoned factory, the area has now been transformed, into an environmental education center.

在台灣台中市南區，最大型的環保教育站近期正式啟用，曾經是一處廢棄的廠房，如今轉換成一個環保教育站。


9.抗旱省水Making the best use of water resources

As water restriction has been im-ple-mented in many parts of Taiwan, how do we make the best use of our water resources? In our next report, we meet Tzu Chi volunteers Wang Guinan(王貴南), who can do many things with a bucket of water and Wang Jianfu(王建福), who collects rainwater and uses them in times of need.

台灣各地開始出現限水，我們如何利用水資源呢，接下來的報導，我們來認識一水五用的慈濟志工王貴南，還有儲存雨水的王建福，讓我們來看看。

1.印尼慈中動土Construction for TC middle school

In Indonesia, each child is required to complete 12 years of compulsory education, and thus, Tzu Chi built a kindergarten and elementary school in the country, which both opened in 2011. This year, construction began for a middle school and the ground breaking ceremony took place last weekend.

在印尼，每位學童都必須接受12年的義務教育，慈濟在雅加達於2011年完成幼稚園和小學的部分，在今年，慈濟中學即將動工，而上周舉辦動土儀式。


2.印四合一Intensive TC training seminar

Staying in Indonesia, a Tzu Chi volunteers training seminar, was held at a Jing Si Hall, in North Jakarta last weekend. The seminar was joined by Dharma Masters from Hualien(花蓮)`s Jing Si Abode and experienced Tzu Chi volunteers from Taiwan.

3.印四合一花絮Training seminar -- behind the scenes

Next, let`s take a look behind the scenes, as Indonesia Tzu Chi volunteers worked in harmony and unity, to ensure the success of the volunteer intensive training seminar, took place at the Jing Si Hall in North Jakarta.

接著來看營隊的幕後花絮，印尼志工們合心協力確認，在北雅加達靜思堂舉辦的精進營其中的各個環節，做好準備。


4.印尼聯合國周Performance strengthens self-esteem

Also in North Jakarta, Indonesia, Tzu Chi Kindergarten held a celebration, in conjunction with United Nations Week. Through various activities, each child learned about different cultures, and strengthened their self-esteem.

也是印尼北雅加達的報導，慈濟幼兒園舉辦了聯合國周的系列活動，透過活動，幫助孩子對不同國家的文化有更進一步的認識，也建立孩子表演的自信心。

5.MIT藍海策略(5)The chair industry

In 2012, Taiwan`s furniture industry suffered from a dramatic dropped in sales, as consumers and vendors were more attracted to low-cost products. Instead of reducing costs to meet consumer`s needs, one furniture company decided to go the opposite route.

2012年，面對消費者和業者持續壓低價錢，台灣家具業業績明顯衰退，一間家具公司不以降低售價來取得訂單，反而決定反其道而行。


6.0324濟貧卡個資Privacy protection vs. charity organizations

Continuing with our reports on the protection of personal data, today, we discover the difficulties faced by charity groups, following the implementation of the Personal Information Protection Act. Following the new law, government agencies have the right, to refuse charity groups, with a list of names of low-income families. Let`s take a look.

延續先前的個資保護報導，今天來看看公益團體在去年個資法上路後，所遭遇到的困難，為了保護隱私權，政府單位有權拒絕提供公益團體低收入戶的名單，一起來看看。


7.關燈日Observing Earth Hour

On March 23rd, as part of Earth Hour, Taiwan Tzu Chings at the National University of the Arts, reminded students to turn off lights and fans. While in Singapore, a vegetarian restaurant owner said, he would donate all pro-ceeds made during Earth Hour to Tzu Chi.

三月二十三號 地球日，在台灣台北藝術大學慈青，關掉宿舍的電燈和電風扇，在新加坡，素食漢堡店老闆表示，他會將關燈時的收入捐給慈濟。


8.雪隆慈青訪視+泰慈青訪瓦保Tzu Chings reaching out

In Thailand, Tzu Chi volunteers have been caring for the children, at Wat-bot Nursery for over 16 years. Earlier this year, Tzu Chings joined the volunteers, in caring for these children. Meanwhile, in Malaysia, Tzu Chings from the Tzu Chi Klang Branch, held a 3-day seminar, where they shared experiences with one another.

在泰國，慈濟志工關懷瓦保育幼院已有十六年的時間，今年開始更有慈青加入，另外，在馬來西亞慈濟巴生支會，舉辦為期三天兩夜的慈青幹部培訓營，分享彼此的經驗。


9.經藏總驗收Looking forward to performance

Last weekend, students from various Tzu Chi educational institutes gathered at the Hualien Jing Si Hall, for their final practice, before their upcoming performance, of the musical adaptation, of the Sutra of Profound Gratitude to Parents, on March 30th.

這個周末假日，慈濟大學、中小學和技術學院的學生，為在3月30號的父母恩重難報經演繹，做最後的驗收。

1.巴西義診賑災Tending to flood victims


We kick off today`s program in Brazil; where monsoon season usually begins in February, and the heavy downpour caused flooding in many areas of Sao Paulo. A mudslide also occurred in Cubatao City, destroying more than 10 homes. Upon learning of the news, Tzu Chi volunteers arrived for a disaster survey and later carried out an aid distribution, as well as free clinic to help the flood victims.


節目開始來到巴西，二月是巴西的雨季，聖保羅市南部豪雨成災，在古巴東市發生嚴重的土石流災害，有數十棟民宅倒塌，慈濟志工前往勘災，決定發放物資，同時進行義診 。


2.勤益慈青有愛Tzu Chings watch Wisdom at Dawn

Since 2009, Tzu Chings from Central Taiwan have been promoting a ”Watching Wisdom at Dawn” initiative, which has received enthusiastic response from Tzu Chings worldwide. Wu Weiqing (吳韋慶), a student at the National Chin-Yi(勤益) University of Technology, not only watches Master Cheng Yen`s ”Wisdom at Dawn” program each day, but also shares his thoughts and Jing Si Aphorisms on the classroom blackboard.

2009年九月，中區慈青同學發起晨鐘起‧薰法香活動，全球慈青也一同熱烈響應，勤益科技大學的學生吳韋慶，不但自己每天聆聽上人的靜思晨語，還把心得和靜思語抄錄在校園教室黑板上。


3.警專慈青訪老+亞東慈青反毒Tzu Chings on the go

Tzu Chings at the Oriental Institute of Technology recently organized their first seminar at school, to promote a campaign against drug use. Tzu Chi volunteer Cai Tiansheng(蔡天勝) and Lin Chaoqing(林朝清), both former drug addicts, were invited to share their stories. Meanwhile, Tzu Chings from the Taiwan Police College arrived at a nursing home in Taipei`s Wenshan(文山) District, to bring joy and happiness to senior residents.

亞東技術學院慈青社，這學期舉辦第一次的講座活動，以反毒為主題，邀請慈濟志工蔡天勝和林朝清，他們都曾是吸毒者，分享過來人的經驗，另外，在警專的慈青，則前往台北文山區的景安老人養護所，為長者帶來歡樂。


4.MIT藍海策略(4)Homeland of faucet parts

Continuing on our feature reports on products made in Taiwan, we go to Dingfanpo(頂番婆) in Chuanghua(彰化) County, which produces over 80 percent of Taiwan`s water tap parts. Facing a labor shortage and cheap imports from China, a group of factory owners decided to form an alliance, as they strive to bring Taiwan`s high quality faucet parts, into the global market.

持續今天的專題，關於台灣製造的產品，我們來到彰化頂番婆社區，這個地方製造出台灣大約八成的水龍頭零件，面對中國低價零件的進口壓力，一群工廠老闆決定要組成聯盟，希望把台灣高品質零件推上國際舞台。


5.感恩首入企業Joining forces to spread recycling concepts

Moving to Kaohsiung, a local company dedicated to designing and manufacturing recycling equipment often receives visitors from abroad. The owner, Lin Wenzhang (林文章), who is also a Tzu Chi volunteer, shares the same passion for eco-friendly products, and has therefore agreed to showcase DA.AI Technology products in his company.

轉到台灣高雄，一家環保設備公司，平常就有很多境外觀光團前往參訪，董事長林文章自己本身是慈濟人，因為認同寶特瓶回收製成衣服，於是答應將公司的展示廳用來展示環保紡織衣。


6.廈門社區環保Easy to establish a recycling point

In China, Xiamen(廈門) Tzu Chi volunteers, have been promoting recycling at the Siming(思明) Retreat since 2009. One recycling volunteer, Zhong Qinzhu(鐘琴珠), established a recycling point at a garage in her community last year, and called on a group of residents to join her. Let`s take a look.

為了推廣環保，慈濟志工從2009年開始，在廈門思明共修處推動回收工作，其中一位居民鐘琴珠，就在社區的車庫成立環保點，同時也號召了一批志工來做回收，一起來看看。


7.0323守住隱私We have the right to say no!

Over the last decade, Taiwan has been a hotbed of fraud, in which people`s mutual trust has been chipped away. Thankfully, following the implementation of the new Personal Information Protection Act, we now have the right to ask those who call to sell products or services, to delete our personal information, or they may face lawsuit.

過去十多年來，台灣詐騙風氣盛行，導致社會信任感降低，而在個資法上路以後，你有權利要求對方刪除你的個資，否則他們要面對相關訴訟。


8.吉打人文開課First day of school

In Malaysia, the Kedah Tzu Chi Academy`s new term saw 50 students signing up. On the first day of school, parents of first timers were allowed to attend the class with their children. At every activity, not only did the children learn much about Tzu Chi`s humanitarian ideals, but parents also gained wisdom as well.

在馬來西亞，吉打人文學校開課了，新學期有五十位小朋友註冊，第一堂課特別讓家長陪伴孩子一起上課，活動中，不只是學童學習慈濟人文精神，家長也滿載而歸。


9.馬幼兒敬老1900Children showing love to elderly

Staying in Malaysia, to inspire children to carry out their filial duties, teachers of the Tzu Chi Kindergarten in Ni-bong Te-bal, took their students on a visit to the local nursing home. The youngsters not only put on a sign language performance but also applied lotion for the seniors.

也是馬來西亞的報導，為了啟發小朋友孝親敬老的精神，馬來西亞「高淵慈濟幼兒園」，老師帶領學生前往老人院送愛，小朋友用心呈現手語，也為爺爺奶奶塗上護膚霜。

1.教育體首彩排

First up in Taiwan; as students and teachers from Tzu Chi University, Tzu Chi College of Technology, Tzu Chi Middle and Elementary School, will be putting on the sign language musical of the Sutra of Profound Gratitude to Parents, at Hualien`s Jing Si Hall at the end of this month, we join them at their final rehearsal session.

首先，在台灣慈濟中小學與慈濟大學和技術學院師生，這個月底將在靜思堂演出父母恩重難報經的音樂手語劇，一起來看看彩排情況，跟著音樂在舞台上演繹，這群慈濟技術學院的師生每個動作都相當到位。


2.佛瑞斯諾義診

Moving to the United States, in Fresno of Central California, Tzu Chi volunteers and TIMA members work with medical staff from a local hospital and organizations, to hold a two-day large scale free clinic, in the sport stadium inside Sunnyside High School. The free clinic provided medical treatment in 6 different departments, and served over 2,600 patients.

鏡頭轉到美國，在加州中部的佛瑞斯諾市，慈濟志工與人醫會跟當地醫院以及團體合作舉辦兩天的大型義診，在當地一所高中的體育館義診提供六種科別的服務幫助超過兩千六百多人次。


3.加畢業班關懷

The Toronto Tzu Chi Academy in Canada organizes a field trip to a local nursing home each year for its graduating students. At this year`s event, volunteers took the 10 graduating students and others to put on a variety of performances. The students all agreed that seeing the smiles on these senior residents` faces was the best graduating gift of all.

加拿大多倫多慈濟人文學校，每年都會安排畢業班的學生前往老人院服務，今年同樣也不例外，由志工帶了十位畢業生和人文學校的其他孩子一起來到老人院表演，學生們都說看到這些長者的笑容是最好的畢業禮物。


4. 廣東靜思語教學

At the Taiwanese Businessmen`s Dongguan(東莞) School in Guangdong(廣東), China, Tzu Chi volunteers regularly show up to teach the children Jing Si Aphorisms. On their most recent visit, volunteers discussed the topic of cherishing blessings, and after seeing clip of the school conditions in Zimbabwe, students learned that they in fact enjoy blessings every day that other students can only dream of.

在廣東東莞台商子弟學校，慈濟志工會定期到這裡舉辦靜思語教學，最近一次的拜訪中志工討論的主題是惜福，看到辛巴威孩子學習環境的影片後，才了解他們每天所擁有的其實是那些學生夢寐以求的。


5. MIT藍海策略(3)

Next, in our series of feature reports on products made in Taiwan, we meet the owners of a towel factory, Chen Jinci(陳錦賜) and Li Yueer(李月娥), who despite facing the tough competitions from abroad, as well as the economic crisis in 2008, did not give up on their trade. The couple came up with a line of eco-friendly and non-dyed cotton towels, that are not harmful to our environment and the human body.

今天的台灣製產業專題，MIT藍海策略，我們來認識一家老字號毛巾廠，雖然面對中國低價傾銷，2008年的金融海嘯毛巾廠的老闆們並沒有放棄，反而創造出一系列不會傷害大地和人體的無染毛巾。


6. 桃居關打掃

In Taiwan, Ms. Pan(潘), who suffered a leg injury in a car accident 10 years ago, has had difficulty cleaning up her living environment. She sought help from Tzu Chi volunteers and was surprised when over 20 volunteers showed up at her door step, ready to give her home a proper clean up.

住在台灣的潘女士，十多年前發生車禍，行動不便，打掃環境困難，特地向志工求援，想不到慈濟卻來了二十多位志工來幫忙，清掃環境讓住家煥然一新。


7. 馬助印裔婦

We next travel to Malaysia; to meet a care recipient who has been raising her two daughters on her own since her husband was sentenced to jail. The mother was faced with heavy financial burden when she became injured in an accident and was unable to work. Luckily, it was then that she found the contact number of Tzu Chi when volunteers previously provided tuition support to her elder daughter, that she was able to sought help from the Buddhist NGO.

接著來到馬來西亞，有位照顧戶因丈夫被判入獄十年獨自撫養兩位女兒，媽媽原本在市場工作，因受傷無法工作，所幸慈濟志工曾因補助大女兒學費上門拜訪，當時留下了電話，這位媽媽與慈濟聯繫度過難關，志工來關懷時，家裡的奶粉罐已經見底，過去，這家的女主人還必須向鄰居乞討才能過日子。


8. 印關懷爾藩迪

Also caring for the needy are Tzu Chi volunteers in Indonesia, who have been helping 7-year-old Mu-ham-mad El-van-di, a sufferer of various mental disabilities.

In an effort to assist El-van-di to recover from his condition, his parents have spent countless hours and money on finding a cure. Through relatives, Elvandi`s parents met Tzu Chi, and today, volunteers are providing financial support to the struggling family.

印尼慈濟志工也前往關懷一位7歲的爾藩迪，是一位多重障礙的小孩，為了幫助爾藩迪治病，他的父母到處奔波求診，在親戚的介紹下，爾藩迪父母認識了慈濟，現在志工的幫忙分擔了爾藩迪父母肩上的重擔。


9. 印募社區志工

Staying right where we are, the Tzu Chi Indonesia Chapter regularly organize promotion events at the beginning of each month, in hopes of introducing the Buddhist NGO to local communities and to inspire residents to join volunteers` ranks.

也是印尼報導，慈濟印尼分會固定在每個月初舉辦宣導活動，希望透過社區活動，讓民眾認識慈濟也招募更多志工加入。


10. 環保轉人生

74-year-old recycling volunteer Lai Yueying (賴月英) from Kaohsiung, Taiwan, had a life of turmoil and hardship right up until she met Tzu Chi. After coming across many setbacks in life, Lai shut herself off from the rest of the world. And it was not until she started practicing recycling, that she came to a turning point in life. Let`s take a look.

74歲的環保志工賴月英，來自台灣高雄，直到接觸慈濟之前，她的人生充滿艱辛與坎坷，面對許多的變故後，賴月英卻把自己關閉起來與外界隔離，直到走進環保站生命才有了轉機，一起來看看。

And, in Indonesia, Tzu Chi volunteers regularly visit a local nursing home, to hold free clinics and provide hair cut and nail trimming services.

1.新園氣爆愛接力Tending to burn victim

First up in Taiwan, in Pingtung`s Xinyuan(新園) Township, a gas explosion occurred in a residential building at around 6pm on March 18th. The owner of the house, Mr. Wu suffered second to third degree burns, to 40 percent of his body and is still in the intensive care unit at the Kaohsiung Armed Forces General Hospital. Upon learning of the news, Tzu Chi volunteers arrived to comfort his family members.

首先，在台灣，屏東新園18日晚間6點多的民宅發生氣爆事故，受傷的吳姓屋主全身百分之四十，有二到三度的燒燙傷，現在還在高雄海軍總醫院的加護病房，慈濟志工接獲消息即前往關懷。


2.廣州助學Helping students pursue their studies

To help students from impoverished families pursue their studies, Tzu Chi volunteers arrived at the Guangzhou(廣州) University of Chinese Medicine to hand out scholarships. Meanwhile, volunteers also visited the homes of students from Qingyuan(清遠) First Middle School, to better understand their living conditions.

為了幫助家境貧困的孩子安心求學，慈濟志工到廣州中醫藥大學頒發助學金，同樣在廣州 ，志工對清遠一中的學生進行家庭訪視，進一步了解他們的家境。


3.廈門中學環保Campaign for zero leftovers

Staying in China, each day at Xiamen`s(廈門) Ma-xiang(馬巷) Junior High School, 80 percent of the student does not finish the food on their plate. Seeing this, the principal invited Tzu Chi volunteers to spread the message of eating 80 percent full and saving the remaining 20 percent for those in need.

在中國廈門的馬巷中學，每天有將近80百分比的學生都會產生廚餘，校長為了要解決這個狀況，邀請慈濟志工來跟學生宣導八分飽，兩分助人好，零廚餘的觀念。


4.MIT藍海策略(2)The sock industry

Today, in our series of feature reports on ”A Blueprint for MIT”, we visit the homeland of Taiwan`s sock industry- in Shetou(社頭) Township, Changhua(彰化) County- to see how this traditional industry has been transformed, by the introduction of newer technologies and designs into production lines.

今天專題報導，MIT藍海策略，我們來到台灣襪子的故鄉，彰化縣社頭鄉，來看看這邊的人是如何利用科技，以及設計，來轉變這個傳統產業。


5.馬建築交流Education Center & Dialysis Center

As the Malaysia Tzu Chi Chapter is working towards, the construction of its education center and dialysis center, the building council committee from Taiwan once again visited the site on March 18th, with suggestions to ensure the new centers will be able to fulfill their role, as a spiritual and environmental refuge.

慈濟馬來西亞分會，正在籌建教育中心和整修洗腎中心，台灣慈濟建築委員會，特地在3月18日前往修建地，並提供建議希望能建造出具備修行、環保的場所。


6.植物生病了Plant hospital in Hsinchu

When people get sick, they see a doctor. But what about plants? In Hsinchu (新竹), Taiwan, a well known plant hospital was established in the local community. Within, plant doctors not only help local residents heal their sick plants, but also take in unwanted or abandoned plants and nurture them back to life.

人生病了可以看醫生，那植物呢？在台灣新竹有一家植物醫院，這裡的醫生不但幫居民醫治他們生病的植物，並收容棄養的植物，讓它們在這裡重新找回新生命。


7.印養老院義診Volunteers visit senior home

In Indonesia, Tzu Chi volunteers regularly visit the Ka-ri-tas Nursing Home every two months, to care for the elderly residents there. Besides holding free clinics, volunteers will give the seniors a hair cut and trim their nails.

印尼慈濟志工每二個月定期前往卡利達斯養老院，進行關懷，除了安排義診，也為長者剪頭髮修剪指甲。


8.親子班訪教養院Parent & child class field trip

Back to Taiwan, in Taoyuan`s(桃園) Xintai(新泰) District, the Tzu Chi parent-and-child class went on a field trip, to a nursing home for children with special needs. By taking these students outdoor for a sun bath and feeding them delicious desserts, volunteers managed to put a smile of each of their faces.

回到台灣，在桃園新泰區，慈濟親子成長班的家長與孩子來到教養院關懷，藉由這次的遠足，也在志工的引導下，大家很快就打成一片。


9.新店陽光關懷Caring for burn victims

Moving to Taipei, in Xindian(新店) District, the Sunshine Social Welfare Foundation Rehabilitation Center is a halfway house for burn victims, to carry out rehabilitative therapy. As part of their care for these victims, Tzu Chi volunteers pay regular visits to encourage them through their recovery.

轉到台北，新店陽光之家是燒燙傷友的中途之家，傷友在這裡進行居家復健，慈濟志工更是定期前來關懷，鼓勵傷友持續復健。

1.貢寮澳底義診Free clinic in Gongliao District
In Taiwan, to safeguard the health of residents in Gongliao(貢寮) District of New Taipei City, the Northern District TIMA medical staff, carried out a free clinic in the area. This time around, Chinese medicine doctor, Fang Zhinan(方志男) brought an overseas medical volunteer to join the effort. Here`s more.

在台灣，為了守護新北市貢寮區居民的健康，慈濟北區人醫會前往該區舉辦義診活動，中醫師方志男帶了一位外國實習生前來付出，一起來看看。


2.口腔癌醫病醫心Oral cancer patient, Chen Zhengyao

Next, we meet oral cancer sufferer, Chen Zhengyao(陳政瑤). With the help of Tzu Chi`s medical team and the encouragement of his family, Chen`s illness has been brought under control, and his life has gradually returned to normal. To reciprocate, Chen adopted a bamboo coin bank, to help those in greater need.

台灣有位口腔癌患者陳政瑤，在醫療團隊和家人的鼓勵下，病情漸漸獲得控制，並且重新展開新的生命，他更將愛心存進撲滿，幫助需要幫助的人。

3.屏東更生人阿國Re-entering society & joining Tzu Chi

Last November in Pingtung(屏東), Taiwan, a Water Repentance Sutra performance, was put on by the inmates of the local prison. A-Guo(阿國), who was one of the inmates that participated in the event, was recently released from the prison. Upon his release, A-Guo(阿國) promised to walk on the Tzu Chi path.

去年十一月在屏東，舉辦受刑人水懺演繹法會中，參與演繹的受刑人阿國服刑期滿出獄，阿國也成了慈濟團隊中新增的種子 。


4.海外法華連線A new source of inspiration

With the pre-mier of a new morning show at Da Ai TV, volunteers from around the world, have been gathering at various points, before the start of their workday, as Master Cheng Yen lectures on the Lotus Sutra. Let`s take a look.

Also staying in touch with Master Cheng Yen`s words of wisdom each day, are volunteers from Taipei, Taiwan, as well as the Selangor and Kuala Lumpur area of Malaysia, who gather at their local liaison office or Jing Si Hall, to listen with other volunteers and start the day off on the right foot.

也是受每天靜思晨語播出節目的感動報導，台灣台北各地，還有馬來西亞雪隆，聚集在各聯絡處或靜思堂，聽證嚴上人講述法華經。

As the cost for manpower and commodities, have increased in recent years, many of Taiwan`s traditional industries have started to fade away. In the first of our new series, of feature reports on ”A Blueprint for MIT”, we meet a textile company, that is not only making functional fabrics, but also incorporating eco-friendly concepts, from start to finish.

In the process of producing clothing, the dyes and chemicals used, are often harmful to the environment and the human body. DA.AI Technology recently received certification, from the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute, for the blankets used at Tzu Chi`s international relief work.

衣服產製過程，往往會因為染色等因素，排放有毒汙水，傷害環境或是身體，大愛感恩科技公司，慈濟賑災活動常用的灰色毛毯，最近獲得了國際搖籃到搖籃策略聯盟的認證。

8.0316愛林謝森展A tree lover - Xie Senzhan

Today, we look at the story of Xie Senzhan(謝森展), who has a deep affection for trees and nature. In the 1920`s, an abundant source of salica sand, was discovered in the mountains, of Beipu(北埔) Township in Hsinchu(新竹) County. This resource, was heavily exploited to expand the glass industry. Thankfully after Xie(謝) purchased the 30 hectares of land, the forest finally returned to its former beauty.
今天帶您來看一位愛樹達人謝森展的故事，在1920年代，新竹縣北埔鄉的山區，蘊藏豐富的矽沙，這是一種製造玻璃的重要原料，遭到大肆開挖，發展玻璃產業，直到三十年前，謝森展不惜重金買下三十公頃的林地，種下原生樹種，還給大地原本的生命力。


9.慈青推熄燈Promoting Earth Hour

This Saturday, March 23rd, is the annual Earth Hour event, The campaign which first began in Sydney, Australia, in 2007, has grown over the years, among those promoting the campaign are Tzu Chings in Taipei, Taiwan, who are spreading the concepts, to the young people on their school campus.

這周六3月23日，是地球一小時活動，從晚上八點半到九點半，這個活動從2007年在澳洲雪梨發起後，多年來變成了全球性的活動，在推廣這個活動的，還有台灣台北的慈青，走入校園裡，邀約年輕人一起響應。

1. 印水患發放 Helping flood victims in Indonesia

In Indonesia, heavy downpours in February, flooded many parts of the country and, although it has been a month since the rains, many people have yet to receive any assistance. To help, Tzu Chi volunteers arrived in two different villages in Medan and West Jakarta, to distribute rice and instant noodles.

印尼二月的大雨造成多處淹水，雖然一個月已過去，許多災民仍然沒有得到幫助，為了幫助他們，慈濟志工來到棉蘭和西雅加達的村莊發放大米和泡麵。


2. 澳邦德堡發放 Helping friends near and far

In Queensland Australia, the city of Bun-da-berg was severely flooded four years ago, and once again was devestated by flood waters this year. To help, Tzu Chi volunteers from Brisbane, traveled to the city, where they worked with local officials, to carry out an aid distribution.

澳洲昆士蘭省邦德堡市，四年間曾遭嚴重水災，而在今年一月是水災最嚴重的一次，布里斯本慈濟志工前往與當地政府合作，一起展開發放活動。


3. 內湖毛毯裝櫃 Sending blankets to warm hearts

In Taiwan, Taipei`s Daan(大安) District Tzu Chi volunteers, gathered at the Neihu(內湖) Liaison Office, to help load 24,400 of Tzu Chi`s signature blankets into containers, headed for South Africa`s Durban and Cape Town.

在台灣的台北大安區慈濟志工，在內湖聯絡處忙著裝運貨櫃，要將兩萬四千四百條毛毯以海運方式送往南非德本及開普敦。


4. 時光機 - 種出希望 Making Taiwan a greener place

In the aftermath of Typhoon Morakot, many land and forest were destroyed. Therefore, three years ago, Taiwan`s Environmental Quality Protection Foundation, began a re-fore-station project, to cultivate trees in the areas devastated by the typhoon.

莫拉克風災過後，許多的大地與森林都被摧毀，環境品質文教基金會從三年多前開始，在莫拉克風災的崩塌地上種樹，將台灣變成一個更綠的國度。


5. 環保教育站 & 環保站啟用 Changhua`s new recycling station

Over the past weekend, two recycling stations have been established in different areas of Taiwan, with the Haide(海德) Recycling Station built in Kaohsiung(高雄)`s Zuoying(左營) District, while the Hemei(和美) Environmental Education Center, officially opened to the public in Changhua(彰化).

上周末，在台灣各地區有兩個新的環保站成立，其中一個是在高雄左營區的海德環保站，另外，彰化的和美環保教育站也正式啟用。


6. 南非環保教室 Grand opening of education center

Recently in Pre-toria, South Africa, Tzu Chi volunteers built an environmental education center, next to the Tzu Chi recycling station at the Pre-toria Chinese School. By building this education center, volunteers hope more community members help contribute to a cleaner society.

在南非的普利多利亞，志工最近在環保站的旁邊蓋了一間小木屋，作為環保教育的教室在這裡設置了環保教室，希望更多的居民一起清理家園。


7. 沙巴慈青15年 Happy 15th B-day Sabah Tzu Chings
Since 1998, when the first Tzu Ching started to spread Tzu Chi`s ideals in Malaysia`s Sabah, hundreds of university students have joined the Buddhist NGO. To mark the 15th anniversary of Tzu Ching in Sabah, local volunteers invited 50 Tzu Ching alumni to share their experiences with their junior volunteers.

1998年，馬來西亞沙巴有了第一顆慈青種子，許多大專生陸續加入了慈濟行列，今年慶祝慈青十五年，當地志工特地邀請50位歷屆畢業慈青，回來和學弟學妹相互砥礪。

8. 馬人醫感恩會 Devoted TIMA members

The Tzu Chi Malacca Chapter, has been providing medical treatment to care recipients at distributions since 1994, and in that time, a free clinic center has also been established. At a ceremony to express gratitude to TIMA members, senior medical staff share their experiences in Tzu Chi, in hopes of inspiring more to join their ranks.

慈濟馬六甲分會，從1994年在發放日開始，為照顧戶進行醫療服務，直到義診中心成立，志工特地為人醫會舉辦了一場感恩會，資深人醫會醫師分享，期許接引新人加入助人行列。


9. 新社人醫義診 Free clinic filled with laughter

In Taiwan, Central District Tzu Chi volunteers and TIMA doctors have been organizing free clinics, in mountainous areas for more than 10 years. This time the team arrived in Xinshe(新社) District in Taichung(台中) City, to safeguard the health of local residents and even conducted home visitations to those, that couldn`t make it to the free clinic.

台灣中區慈濟志工和人醫會醫療人員，在中部山區義診十多年，這次他們來到台中市新社區為當地居民健康做把關，同時也到山區為那些無法來到義診現場的居民進行家訪。

1. 菲火災關懷 Volunteers help fire victims

First up in the Philippines, a major fire broke out in Va-len-zue-la City, leaving 263 families homeless. Upon learning of the tragedy, Tzu Chi volunteers traveled to the disaster site to carry out a survey, and held a distribution to hand out daily necessities.

首先來到菲律賓，描仁瑞拉市發生一場大火造成263戶無家可歸，志工得知後即前往勘災並且發放生活物資。


2. 菲貧困大米 Rice for 391 households

Staying in Valenzuela City, Tzu Chi volunteers held a rice distribution to help 391 households. Most of these residents collect recyclables or clean garbage trucks to make ends meet, however their daily income is no more than 3USD. Therefore, the aid supplies given by Tzu Chi were a great help for these families.

還是描仁瑞拉市的報導，慈濟志工舉辦物資發放，共幫助三百九十一戶，大部分的貧戶以撿拾回收物維生，狀況稍微好一點的是做垃圾車的清潔隊員，但工資一天不到美金3元，慈濟發放的物資對他們來說好珍貴。


3. 印尼扶困交屋 Building homes for the poor

Moving to Indonesia; in a program established to help the poor and destitute, Tzu Chi volunteers began building new homes for residents living on the outskirts of Jakarta, in 2011. Over the past two years, volunteers have constructed a total of 104 homes, and recently five more families moved into the finished homes.

轉到印尼 ，慈濟展開扶困計畫，2011年到北雅加達紀鄰精村幫忙重建房屋，2年來援建104間房屋，這一次有5戶居民可以入住，讓他們有個安身之處。


4. 上海新春茶會 & 南京新春茶會 Holding tea gatherings

In China, a tea gathering was held in Nanjing(南京), where over 70 volunteers took part and shared with each other their changes since joining Tzu Chi. Meanwhile, at the tea gathering held in Shanghai(上海), Tzu Chi volunteers discussed ways to promote the Buddhist NGO to local communities.

在中國，南京慈濟志工最近舉辦茶會，七十位志工來參與、分享他們參與慈濟的改變，另外在上海慈濟志工也舉辦茶會，檢討要如何鼓勵更多人走慈濟路。


5. 馬新春愛灑 Tea gatherings in Johor Bahru

Also holding tea gatherings, are Tzu Chi volunteers in Johor Bahru of Malaysia, who held the events at their local recycling station as well as in a nearby community. Let`s take a look.

也是茶會的報導，馬來西亞新山慈濟志工在環保站和附近的社區舉行兩場茶會，一起來看看。


6. 新山江泰勳 A strong vow & determination

Next, we meet Johor Bahru Tzu Chi volunteer, Jiang Taixun(江泰勳), who used to be a highly paid consultant, but after a surgery in 2012, decided to quit his job to open a vegetarian restaurant. As tiring as it may be running a restaurant, Jiang(江)remains determined to be an advocate of vegetarianism.

接著，馬來西亞新山慈濟志工江泰勳，原本是個高薪顧問，可是在2012年放棄了這份工作開起素食館，工作或許辛苦還是堅持推廣素食。


7. 新衣的祕密 (4) 另一種選擇 Organic cotton - an alternative option

What price are you willing to pay in pursuit of the latest trends? The price of a polluted river or a toxic reservoir? Or is it at the expense of our next generation? Although we wash our newly purchased clothes before we wear them, this is just another way of releasing pollutants into our waters as well. Today, in our final report on the truth behind fashion, we look into organic clothing as another affordable alternative.

為了穿上美麗的衣服，你願意付出什麼樣的代價，汙染的河川或中毒的水庫，還是下一代的未來，就算我們買回家的新衣服，都會在穿之前先洗乾淨，但這也只是換個方式，把這些物質排放到水裡而已，然而我們還是有其他選擇，今天新衣的祕密最後一集 ，我們一起來看，有機棉，如何是一另一種選擇。


8. 繁星生感恩 Helping Multi-Stars Program student

Through the “Multi-Stars Program”, Jingwen(景文) High School student, Yang-Hui Yangzi(楊惠洋子), from Taipei, was accepted into the National Quemoy(金門) University. Yang gave up her dream to become a dancer, and chose to study long-term care, so she can take care of her bedridden mother.

透過繁星申學計畫，景文高中學生楊惠洋子，今年申請上金門大學的長期照護學系，為了照顧長期生病的母親，洋子選擇就讀照護學系放棄跳舞的夢想。


9. 內湖慈少訪老 Tzu Shaos visiting senior residents

In Taiwan`s Tapei, Tzu Shaos from the Neihu(內湖) District, visited a local nursing home, and were surprised to find these senior residents aged between 60 to 90 years old, were no less energetic than young people.

在台灣，慈濟志工帶著，台北市內湖區慈少班學員前往養老院關懷，養老院的長輩們年齡從60到90歲高齡都有，而且精力充沛 不輸給年輕人。


10. 訪視遇自殘 Helping a depressed recipient

While Tzu Chi volunteers and TIMA medical staff, was carrying out home visitations in Taichung, they came across one care recipient, Mr. Shen(沈) who tried to end his own life. Luckily, volunteers showed up in time to prevent the tragedy.

在台灣，台中慈濟志工以及醫護人員訪視時，發現照顧戶自殘，幸好志工們即時出現，預防悲劇發生。

1.海地人醫義診 1st large scale free clinic

We kick off today`s program in Haiti; local volunteers have been working hard over the past 6 weeks, to organize their first large scale free clinic, which took place last Saturday March 9th, at a venue provided by the health ministry. The event saw local medical staff lending a helping hand, as well as volunteers and TIMA members from the United States, all coming together to serve more than 600 patients.

節目的一開始來到海地，慈濟志工在經過六個星期努力規畫，首次於3月9日上周六，在衛生部提供的場地，舉辦大型義診活動，活動不只有當地醫護人員，還有來自美國的慈濟志工，以及人醫會的成員，一起幫600多位患者看診。


2.澳救難素宴 A banquet of vegetarian dishes

In Queensland of Australia, the mayor of Ipswich, Paul Pisa-sale, held a banquet to thank members of the State Emergency Service, for their dedication to the community over the years. The mayor also invited Tzu Chi volunteers to prepare vegetarian dishes to share with the SES members.

也是澳洲的報導，伊普市市長舉辦一場餐會，感謝救難隊員，在水患後對社會的幫助，還特別邀請慈濟志工，料理素食餐點，與救難隊員 一同分享佳餚。


3.瓦格瓦格愛灑 Volunteers revisit Wagga Wagga

Staying in Australia, but moving to New South Whales, Sydney Tzu Chi volunteers recently revisted residents from Wagga Wagga, which suffered severe flooding last March. Local residents who were deeply moved by Tzu Chi`s relief efforts after the disaster, all donated their bamboo coin banks to show their gratitude.

4.新衣的祕密(3)水汙染 How polluted are the rivers?

According to statistics, Taiwan`s produces some 60,000 metric tons and uses up to 10,000 metric tons of no-nyl-phe-nol a year. Although the use of these hazardous substances poses a great, and often invisible, threat to ecosystems and human health; unfortunately, the use of no-nyl-phe-nol in the textile industry and others, is completely legal. So, when the factories` wastewaters containing no-nyl-phe-nol are discharged into our rivers, the reality is, nothing can be done.

根據統計，台灣目前壬基酚，一年的製造運作量，高達六萬公噸，使用運作量近一萬公噸，雖然這些有毒的化學物質，會污染生態環境，以及危害健康，不管是在紡織，或者是其他工業上，壬基酚都還是合法使用的化學物質，而且它們跟著排放進入河川水體之後，也無法管理，這對台灣的河川，又造成什麼樣的傷害呢？讓我們一起來看。


5.新埔國小回收 Letting nothing go to waste

As Xinpu(新埔) Elementary School in New Taipei City is undergoing renovation; instead of throwing their old desks and chairs away, the principal asked Tzu Chi volunteers, to come collect whatever that can be reused and recycled.

新北市新埔國小的職員,進行舊教室的整建,清除堆積了很久的桌椅.校長邀請慈濟志工前來回收.

6.舊莊國小環保 How to sort our garbage?

Staying on the topic of recycling, more than 30 second graders from Jiuzhuang(舊莊) Elementary School in Taipei City, visited their neighbors at the Tzu Chi Nangang(南港) Recycling Station for a field trip. Volunteers thoughtfully designed a game which made sorting recyclables, more interesting and memorable.

在台灣，台北舊莊國小，小學二年級，30多位學生來拜訪鄰居，南港環保教育站，志工貼心的用遊戲，讓分類過程變得更有趣，及印象更深刻。


7.士林慈少環保 Do you know how to sort recyclables?

Also in Taipei, Tzu Shaos from the Shilin(士林) District visited the Neihu(內湖) Recycling Station, where they not only gained a better understanding of the different categories of paper, but also got some hands-on experience at recycling work.

台灣，台北士林區慈少，最近來到內湖環保站，在環保站，學生們不但學習如何分類紙，更親手體驗做環保。

A heart of truth is difficult to find, but easy to lose. After your sutra performance, allow the Dharma to remain in your heart where it will slowly purify your mind. From purity comes the wisdom to differentiate between right or wrong, and the ability to stay correct and true in your actions and words.

要培養一分感情實為不易，但要破壞則是輕而易舉。在經藏演繹之後，要讓法水常駐在心，時時洗滌心靈，不再沾染塵垢；心智明朗，即能明辨是非，言行則無有偏誤。


8.檳城麥大偉 Former care recipient Mai Dawei

In Malaysia, we meet care recipient, Mai Dawei (麥大偉), who was left paralyzed from waist down, following a car accident. Thankfully, Tzu Chi took him under its wing, and began providing subsidies to help Mai and his family. Having remained positive and patiently doing rehabilitation, Mai is back on his feet today, and can even be seen at the local recycling station, giving back for the love he received.

馬來西亞有位慈濟照顧戶 麥大偉，因為一場車禍，讓他半身不遂，幸好有慈濟的幫助，申請照顧戶得到補助，儘管身體癱瘓，他還是積極樂觀，努力做復健，如今能緩慢步行，甚至到慈濟環保站做志工。


9.警察王帝文 Police officer providing sign language service

Next, we meet Wang Diwen(王帝文), a police officer at the Andian(安佃) Police Station in Tainan(台南), who is also a sign language expert. In addition to his police duties, Wang was also hired as a sign language translator, by the Tainan City Government, and often goes to the Tainan Employment Service Center, to help the deaf-mute look for jobs.

台南市安佃派出所，有位警員 王帝文，他擁有手語專長，除了平日執勤之外，王帝文還獲的台南市府，聘為手語翻譯員，他也常利用休假，到台南就業服務站當志工，協助聽障朋友找工作。


10.靜思堂種樹 Trees for Taichung Jing Si Hall

With the Taichung Jing Si Hall near completion and soon to open, Tzu Chi volunteers are busy preparing the surrounding environment and cleaning wherever needed. The owner of a construction company who went pass the building every day, decided to donate two tea olive trees, as well as 400 plants to beautify the garden.

台中靜思堂即將啟用，慈濟志工忙著整理，周邊環境綠美化，一間建設公司總經理，每天經過靜思堂因此，發心捐出兩棵桂花樹，和四百株小植栽，跟所有大眾結好緣。

1.菲火災以工代賑 Tending to fire victims

First up in the Philippines; on the first day of March, a fire in Barangay Ba-gum-bu-hay of Quezon City, destroyed some 40 houses and left 58 families without roof over their heads. Upon learning of their plight, Tzu Chi volunteers arrived immediately to carry out a disaster survey and returned the next day to set up a relief work program to help these residents clean up their homes.

節目的一開始來到菲律賓，三月的第一天，在計順市，巴根卜海里發生大火，燒毀四十間房屋，讓五十八戶無家可歸，得知消息之後，慈濟志工立刻前往勘災，隔天回來成立以工代賑，協助鄉親清掃家園。


2.印水災泡麵 Tzu Chi returns with more aid

Moving to Indoneisa, after the January flooding in Jakarta, Tzu Chi arrived with aid and support for the flood victims. When the floodwaters finally subsided in March, volunteers returned once again to the low-lying community of Te-luk Gong, to check up on residents. Finding that many of the residents were still living in poverty following the floods, volunteers donated over 4,800 boxes of vegetarian instant noodles.

印尼雅加達在一月時，發生大水患，慈濟志工即時的送來物資與關懷，在三月，大水褪去時，志工更進一步探訪，地勢較低的德勒宮，發現災民生活貧困，因此發放四千八百多箱的素食麵。


3.美再發現值卡 Helping those in greater need

In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, US Tzu Chi volunteers continued their effort in helping those living on the fringes of society. On March 9th, the New York Tzu Chi Chapter and the Shorefront Y of Brighton Beach, held a joint distribution to hand out cash cards to 220 households, who were mostly illegal immigrants that were not qualified for government subsides.

桑迪風災過後，美國慈濟志工，持續幫助那些住在社會邊緣的民眾，3月9日，紐約慈濟分會和布萊頓前岸青年會，聯手舉辦發放，發出現值卡給220戶災民，許多民眾因為是非法移民，因此得不到政府的補助。

4.0310金中江櫻梅 Spreading a message

As Jinshan(金山) District in New Taipei City, is situated in between two nuclear power plants, Jiang Yingmei(江櫻梅), a teacher from Jinshan(金山) High School, who was born and raised in the area, has always been concerned about nuclear safety. The trio disasters in Japan inspired Jiang, to take actions in her school, by holding seminars and exhibitions to pass on information on nuclear energy to local residents.

新北市金山地區位於，兩座核電廠之間，在金山高中任教的江櫻梅老師就是其中一人，原本就默默關心起核能，卻在日本海嘯後主動，從學校帶起核安意識，在主題書展中結合，關於核能的演講。


5.印住宅區環保 Recycling for the future

Back to Indonesia, the capital of Jakarta produces some 6,500 tons of garbage a day. As recycling is still a new concept for many, garbage is seldomly separated and often carelessly thrown on the streets. Over the past few years, Cengkareng Tzu Chi volunteers have been working to educate the residents on the importance of recycling.

印尼首都雅加達，每天產生6500公噸的垃圾，由於當地環保觀念不普及，民眾時常把垃圾隨地亂丟，慢慢教導正確環保概念，是金卡蓮的一群環保志工，幾年前就在社區，進行環保分類。


6.菲學生參訪 Field trip to recycling station

In the Philippines, students from the University of San-to To-mas High School, visited a recycling station in Manila, where they put what they have learned in class into practice. Such a field trip gave the students, a better understanding on how to safeguard the environment.

在菲律賓，聖托瑪斯大學，中學部的學生，來到慈濟大愛校園的環保站，將在課堂學到的知識，透過實際操作再複習一遍，讓學生對環保有更深的認識。


《 衲履足跡 》談善念啟發 On Arousing Good Thoughts

Once we arouse a mind of good thoughts, we will no longer be able to stand idly by while others suffer. We will naturally find it in ourselves to create a field of blessings. Besides cultivating our inner garden, we also need to lead others onto the Bodhisattva path so that all may work towards a world of blessings.

善念一旦啟發，自然不忍眾生受苦，而能以愛心勤耕福田；除了精進耕耘自己內心的福田，還要設法輔導他人、廣招人間菩薩 一同耕耘人間福田。


7.新衣的祕密(2)平價衣檢驗 Quality of imported clothing

Regardless of whether the clothes we purchase are branded or not, it is difficult to judge whether they contain harmful chemicals or not. Today, over 70 percent of Taiwan`s garments are imported from Asian countries with low production costs, and as for the quality of this imported clothing, no one really knows the answers? Our Da Ai TV reporter purchased garments manufactured in China and Korea, from a wholesale market in Taipei, and conducted tests on the clothing, where each came back positive for no-nyl-phe-nol and plas-ti-ci-zers. Let`s take a look.

不管衣服有沒有牌子，我們都很難判斷，上面到底有沒有殘留，有毒的化學物質，台灣現在七成以上成衣，都是從工資低廉的亞洲進口，衣服品質由誰幫我們把關，我們的記者在批發市場，隨機購買了幾件，分別產自中國大陸，以及韓國的衣服，經過實驗室檢測發現，這或多或少，都殘留壬基酚還有塑化劑，讓我們一起來看看。


8.肩頸痠痛年輕化 Modern aches and pains

We`ll have more on the truth behind fashion for you in our report tomorrow. Back to today; it`s rare nowadays to find someone who doesn`t own a smart phone or a tablet computer. With it, comes an ever spreading problem of stiff necks and back pains, for those who excessively stare down at their phones all day. Many will deal with the pain by rolling their heads in a circle, however experts inform that doing this might be more harmful than helpful. Here`s more.

1.馬火災關懷 Fire leaves families homeless



In Malaysia, a fire broke out in a residential community in Kuala Lumpur, leaving 4 households homeless. Fortunately Tzu Chi was on hand to help, bringing the families much needed clothing, as well as emergency cash.



在馬來西亞吉隆坡，發生民宅大火，有四戶住家被燒毀，慈濟志工前往關懷，送上他們最需要的衣物，和急難救助金。





2.日震少年參訪 Thank you Tzu Chi!



In 2011, the 3/11 Earthquake devastated the north-east part of Japan, which resulted in the loss of lives for at least 20,000 people. On March 11th, this year, a group of university students from the disaster areas, arrived at the Tzu Chi Humanitarian Center in Taipei, to express their thanks to Tzu Chi, for their continuous love and care for those back home.



2011年，311大地震重創日本東北，造成至少兩萬人失蹤死亡，今年3月11日這天，日本災區的大學生組團來台，來到慈濟人文志業中心，表達感謝之意，感激志工們長期關懷日本鄉親。





3.日311靜態展 2nd anniversary of 3/11 Earthquake



In the aftermath of 3/11 Earthquake in Japan, 4,000 Tzu Chi volunteers were mobilized to hand out consolation cash and relief supplies. To commemorate the efforts over that time, Japan Tzu Chi volunteers held a 3/11 Earthquake photography exhibition, in which many locals and government officials alike came to take part.



311地震發生至今，四千多位慈濟志工，發放慰問金和物資幫助災民，為了紀念這天，日本慈濟志工在新潟，舉辦311地震靜態展，許多鄉親和政府官員，也都前來欣賞。





4.花防災演練 Hualien`s disaster drill



In Taiwan, Hualien(花蓮) County recently held an exercise, to educate residents on the proper response, in times of natural disasters. This time, the emergency response drill was held at the Xiulin(秀林) Township and was joined by 300 villagers.



在台灣 花蓮縣最近舉行，害防救演習，教育民眾針對災害做應變，這次演習地點在秀林鄉，300位部落居民一起加入演習活動。

5.新衣的祕密(1)新衣有毒 The alarming truth behind fashion



According to statistics, roughly 80 billion garments are manufactured annually worldwide. Studies conducted by environmental organizations at the end of 2012 show, of the samples collected, 60 percent of the garments contained toxic chemicals. Let`s take a look, at the hidden danger, behind the clothing we wear.



根據統計，全世界每年大約生產800億件服裝，環保團體在去年底，抽查品牌成衣，竟然發現六成以上，竟然都帶有有毒化學物質，一起來看看隱藏在衣服背後的危機。





6.致理師生環保Knowing recycling & doing recycling



In Taiwan, students at Chihlee(致理) Institute of Technology from Banqiao(板橋) of New Taipei City, recently visited Taipei`s Bade(八德) Recycling Station, to learn more about the practice of sorting recyclables. Everyone found the event helpful and vowed to continue to protect the environment in the days ahead.



在台灣，新北市板橋致理技術學院的學生，前往台北市的八德環保站，體驗做環保的甘苦，這群大學生認為，這樣的活動很有幫助，並且發願要保護地球。





7.南靖教育交流 Education exchanges in Nanjing County



Moving to China, in Nanjing(南靖) County of Fujian(福建) Province, Tzu Chi volunteers visited the Nanjing(南靖) First Vocational School, where teachers have had troubles motivating students to study. To help, Tzu Chi volunteers encouraged the teachers to incorporate Jing Si Aphorisms in their lessons.



來到中國的福建省南靖縣，慈濟志工訪問，南靖第一職業學校，這裡的老師，在激發學生學習興趣上，遭遇很大的困難，因此慈濟志工特地到學校，跟老師分享靜思語的教案，來豐富他們的教學方法。





《 衲履足跡 》談社會安定 On a Peaceful Society



By harboring compassion in our hearts, being modest in our desires, and helping the impoverished, the poor will find their lives improved. With these actions, unwholesome inclinations will find no fertile ground and society will blossom in harmony. And, for businesses, it is exactly this harmonious society in which they can best flourish.



只要人人心懷悲憫，生活節儉一點，扶助貧苦人，窮人的生活得以改善，就不會起惡念，社會也會更祥和；對企業而言，社會穩定平安，事業也能穩定發展。

10.板橋車站清掃 Safeguarding the environment



Since 1998, Tzu Chi volunteers have regularly shown up to clean up the surrounding area of the Banqiao(板橋) Station. This time around, volunteer Qiu Yuying(邱育瓔) brought her grandson along, as the two spent the day together protecting the environment.



從1998年開始，慈濟志工定期維護板橋車站，周遭的環境整潔，這一次的清掃，志工邱育瓔特地，帶著孫子一同來保護地球。

1.紐基督城熱食 TC volunteers visit Christchurch

Recently, New Zealand Tzu Chi volunteers, visited the Delta Community House in Christ-church, for the very first time, where they prepared hot meals for impoverished residents. The vegetarian dishes prepared by the volunteers, not only warmed the stomachs of residents, but ensured all got the nutrients they need as well.

最近紐西蘭慈濟志工，第一次拜訪基督城的，迪爾塔社區之家，為貧困民眾準備熱食，志工準備的素食料理，不僅溫暖民眾的肚子，也讓他們吃到健康。


2.深圳愛灑 Helping the needy in Shenzhen

In China, in Shenzhen(深圳) of Guangdong(廣東) Province, many businessmen help impoverished families each month,by providing sub-si-d-aries through Tzu Chi. This time around, Tzu Chi volunteers included additional daily necessities for these families, and invited care recipient, Ms. Feng (馮) to share her story with everyone.

在中國的廣東深圳，許多有愛心的企業家，委託慈濟，為貧困家庭發放補助金，這次志工額外準備生活用品，還邀請慈濟照顧戶 馮女士，跟大家分享他的人生故事。


3.海地建校進度 Transitioning to new school soon

In Port-au-Prince, Christ the King Secretarial School, of Sisters of Saint Anne, part of Tzu Chi`s long term rebuilding efforts in Haiti, is nearly complete. Tzu Chi volunteers have been getting a weekly report, on the progress and have introduce the the idea of teaching Jing Si Aphorisms and tea ceremony, once the school completes.

海地太子港，聖恩修女會女子祕書學校的希望工程，即將完成，慈濟志工每周，進行了解進度，也和校方開始討論啟用事宜，以及推動靜思語教學與茶道。


4.加靜思語賽 Jing Si Aphorism story telling contest

Moving to North America, teachers and students from five Tzu Chi Academies came together, to hold a Jing Si Aphorism story telling contest, at the Canada Tzu Chi Chapter. During the contest, participants put in their best effort to present Jing Si Aphorism stories, that would inspire all those in the audience.

來到北美洲，五所慈濟人文學校的師生，共同在加拿大分會，舉辦靜思語說故事比賽，比賽中，參加的學生都獻上自己最棒的表現，各各也講出深入人心的靜思與故事。


5.慈濟菁英志工 13th Annual Spirit of Community Awards

At the 13th Annual Pru-den-tial Spirit of Community Awards, 30 students were chosen from a pool of 6,000, as this year`s winners. Among them was one student from Hualien(花蓮) Tzu Chi Junior High School, and several others who expressed interest in joining Tzu Ching in college, or later as a volunteer.

第13屆青少年志工菁英獎，從6000多件報名件數中，選出30名優秀的菁英志工，其中花蓮慈大附中的學生，還有人也想參加慈青社，進而成為慈濟志工。

6.美核安公共意識 Youths discuss nuclear energy

The issues surrounding nuclear energy, is a topic the youths in the United States, have also concerned themselves with. At the I-dyll-wild School of Music and the Arts, students held a series of debates, to discuss the pros and cons of nuclear energy.

核能議題是美國的孩子們，也高度關心的事，在依地野音樂藝術學院，學生舉辦研討會，探討核能的優點與缺點。


7.0308陳藹玲反核 The ”Mom Loves Taiwan” Group

The decision whether to build the Fourth Nuclear Power Plant in Gongliao(貢寮) District, New Taipei City, or not, seems to be heading to a public referendum. Helping get the word out is the ”Mom Loves Taiwan” group, established by Chen Ailing(陳藹玲), board director of the Fubon(富邦) Cultural and Educational Foundation. As a mother of four, Chen who was concerned about the future of her children, is determined to fight for a su-stain-able future for the children of Taiwan.

位於新北市的貢寮區，核四興建與否，將以公投方式訴諸民意，站出來反核的還有一個新成立的團體，媽媽監督核電聯盟，由富邦文教基金會，執行董事陳藹玲發起，身為四個孩子的母親 陳藹玲，心繫下一代的健康安危，要為台灣的孩子，保留一個永續的環境。


8.四大志業植樹 Annual Arbor Day with Tzu Chi

Today, March 12th is Taiwan`s Arbor Day, and to celebrate, Tzu Chi volunteers and staff from Tzu Chi Foundation`s four main missions, took time over the weekend, to get in some planting. However, in a change from previous events, everyone was asked, to first go to the Hualien Tzu Chi campus, to find a seedling to replant.

今天3月12日就是植樹節，慈濟四大志業的職工，利用週末來種樹，但不同於一般的活動，大家首先前往慈濟大學，尋找自己的小樹苗。


《 衲履足跡 》談欲念 On Desire

For the average person, the more desires they have, the more karma they create for themselves. Correspondingly, those who have made a firm vow in their hearts to work on behalf of all sentient beings will have less desires; as they always put others before oneself.

凡夫心欲愈重，造業愈多；相對地，發大心、立大願而利益人群的人 欲念輕，總是為天下人、天下事而付出。


9.中慈苗栗健檢 Free clinic to safeguard health

In Taiwan, to safeguard the health of members of the public, Taichung(台中) Tzu Chi Hospital and Miaoli(苗栗) City Office, held a joint free clinic at the local Tzu Chi Grounds, that was joined by more than 300 local residents. The free clinic not only offered basic health checks but also screening for four types of cancers and was also joined by 80-year-old recycling volunteer Zhuang-Zhang Xiuying(莊張秀英), who came with her mentally and physically challenged brother-in-law.

為了守護民眾的健康，台灣 台中慈濟醫院，和苗栗市公所合作，在當地的慈濟園區，舉辦一場義診，現場超過三百位民眾參加，義診不但有基礎健康檢查，更有四項癌症篩檢，八十歲的環保志工莊奶奶，也帶著行動不變，又有智能障礙的小叔，一起參加。


10.德州關懷法親 Visiting senior Tzu Chi volunteers

In the United States, Texas Tzu Chi volunteers are visiting their fellow senior volunteers, and first arrived at the house of a husband-and-wife team, who although senior in age, are still thinking of giving to Tzu Chi`s work whenever they can. Meanwhile, another senior volunteer still insists on volunteering at the local Chapter regardless of her sickness.

在美國，慈濟德州分會的志工，關心年邁的法親，有一對同修的夫妻，雖然年長，可是還是把握機會付出，還有另外一位志工，即使行動都不方便，但還是堅持，去分會去當志工。

We go to Malaysia at the end of the show; since its establishment in 2010, every day volunteers will gather at the Kedah Jing Si Hall to help with cleaning work. 1.胡志明市發放 TC volunteers visit care recipients

First up in Vietnam; beginning in 2008, Tzu Chi volunteers have been providing subsidies to care recipients in District 9 of Ho Chi Minh City. The number of households Tzu Chi helped, went from single digit, to now, with 70 families. At the latest distribution, a local woman`s association and Taiwanese businessmen joined the volunteers to help those in need.

從2008年開始，越南慈濟志工，發放生活補助金，給在胡志明市，第九郡的照顧戶，慈濟的關懷，延伸到現在的70戶，發放活動，當地婦女會及台商，也都加入關懷行列，一起為貧困家庭，解決生活困境。


2.約旦難民發放 Helping Syrian refugees

To help Syrian refugees in Jordan fight against the cold weather, Taiwan Tzu Chi volunteers have collected and delivered nearly 188,000 pieces of second-hand clothing to Jordan. To date, more than 35,000 Syrian refugees have received this gift of love from Taiwan. At the relief distribution, the humble attitude of the Jordan Tzu Chi volunteers moved the heart of many local volunteers.

為了幫助敘利亞難民，抵擋寒冷的冬天，台灣慈濟志工收集到，十八萬八多件的衣物，送到約旦，目前已有三萬五千多位難民，拿到這分溫暖，志工謙卑的身影，也感動了當地志工，和其他慈善團體的志工。


3.約旦難民後續 Visiting hospitals & free clinics

Staying in Jordan; apart from handing out second-hand clothing and food to Syrian refugees, Tzu Chi`s mid-to-long term plan, is to also help patients at hospitals and free clinics, which all lack medical resources.

在約旦，除了發放食物和衣物，中長期計劃，將陪伴關懷，缺乏醫療資源，在難民義診中心，及醫院的病患。


4.菲火災發放 Aid distribution for fire victims

Moving to the Philippines, in Mun-tin-lupa City, a fire broke out as a result of unattended candles, leaving 107 families homeless. Since many evacuated without taking any belongings, Tzu Chi volunteers organized an aid distribution, to provide daily necessities to help the victims.

在菲律賓的文珍俞巴市，疑似因為蠟燭使用不當，發生一起火災，造成107戶無家可歸，居民倉皇逃出，東西都來不及拿，幸好慈濟志工舉行發放，送來生活用品幫助災民。

5.美國核能近況 Nuclear power: safety vs. economy

In the United States, a nuclear power plant in Southern California accidentally released, a small amount of radioactive material into the environment last year, which again raised nearby residents` concern over the safety of nuclear energy. As today marks the 2nd anniversary of the 3/11 disasters in Japan, we look into the nuclear energy situation in the US.

美國南加州”歌”核電廠，去年發生輻射外洩，除了引發附近居民，安全疑慮，日本福島核災，屆滿二周年的今天，帶大家看看，美國核能的現況。


6.美小學品格 Helping low-income children

Also in the United States, most of the students that attend, the Charles Lee Elementary School in A-zu-za, California, come from low-income households. Upon learning that 90 percent of the students go on an empty stomach at lunch, Tzu Chi volunteers quickly arrived to help.

位在美國加州，阿祖薩市的察爾思李小學，這裡的學生大多是來自，低收入家庭，百分之九十的學童，需要免費營養午餐的幫助，慈濟志工趕緊伸出援手。


7.鳳凰城醫療 Helping those in need

In Arizona, Phoenix Tzu Chi volunteers have been holding free clinics on a regular basis, to safeguard the health of low-income families or those without medical insurance. Moved by Tzu Chi`s love and care, many local residents decided to join the volunteers` ranks.

美國亞利桑那州，鳳凰城的慈濟志工，定期舉辦義診，守護低收入戶，和無醫療保險民眾的健康，看見志工的用心，許多當地民眾，決定加入志工的行列。


8.義診膚病知福 Reaching the needy in remote areas

In Taiwan, Central TIMA medical staff and Tzu Chi volunteers, regularly visit the remote areas of Zhuolan(卓蘭) Town in Miaoli(苗栗) County, to hold free clinics as well as carry out home visitations. At the most recent event, doctors and volunteers again made sure they provided medical treatment and emotional support for all those in need.

在台灣，慈濟中區人醫會志工，每個月會定期前往苗栗偏遠山區義診，並且進行家訪，在最近這次的活動，醫謢人員再次來到這裡，要提供醫療服務給需要的人。


《 衲履足跡 》談銘記災難 On Learning from Disasters

With the frequent occurrence of natural disasters, purifying human minds becomes a top priority in creating a peaceful and safe environment for ourselves and the future generations.

Only when human beings live a simple, healthy and frugal life, can all be alleviated from suffering.

放眼天下，天地間不斷發生災難，我們應該為自己、為天下、為下一代的平安而調和人心；唯有人類回歸樸素、健康、純真的生活，才能緩和天地災難。


9.印尼靜態展 Jing Si Exhibition at local mall

In Indonesia, Tzu Chi volunteers organized a Jing Si Exhibition at a shopping center, south of Jakarta on March 3rd. Upon learning that Tzu Chi is a charity organization, the administration staff decided to provide the venue to Tzu Chi free of charge.

印尼慈濟志工，在3月3號在南雅加達的購物中心，舉辦靜思人文靜態展，得知舉辦單位，是慈善機構後，負責申請的單位決定，免費提供場地，給慈濟使用。


10.澳言達新春 Visiting former flood victims

Following the severe flooding at the beginning of 2012, in New South Whales, Australia, Sydney Tzu Chi volunteers have carried out a series of relief work to help the residents of Yenda. Today, the care continues, as volunteers returned, for a New Year blessing ceremony, and handed out the blessing and wisdom red envelopes to participants.

2012年初，澳洲新南威爾斯省，發生嚴重水患，慈濟也前往重災區言達發放，一年後的今天，雪梨慈濟志工再度來到這裡，帶著證嚴上人祝福及福慧紅包，探望這裡的居民。
