In the Philippines, Tzu Chi”s 138th mobile dental free clinic took TIMA members to a remote elementary school of San Mateo in Rizal Province. The team taught youngsters how to properly care for their teeth and also helped treat their dental problems.
菲律賓慈濟分會所舉辦的第138次，牙科往診腳步來到了黎剎省，聖馬刁鎮的東方小學，醫護人員為孩童服務看診，也教導他們如何照顧自己的牙齒。
2.泰眼科開刀16 cataract patients receive surgery
Helping those in need, in Thailand, TIMA members and volunteers recently took 16 seniors-- who couldn”t afford surgery-- to a local hospital to receive free cataract treatment.
幫助需要的人，泰國慈濟人醫會及志工，帶著十六位沒錢無法就醫的老人家，到當地的醫院進行白內障手術。

Tuesday afternoon, Tzu Chi University held a ceremony to honor the 12 Silent Mentors who will soon be instructing third year medical students in human anatomy. Their contribution is deeply appreciated by the students, who were present at the ceremony.
星期二下午，慈濟大學舉行莊嚴的大體老師啟用典禮，這次有12位大體老師捨身醫學教育，醫學系三年級的學生，在他們的身上要來進行解剖課程，學生都將用感恩的心情來回報，參與啟用典禮。
4.大體丘昭蓉Silent Mentor: Qiu Zhaorong
Next, we introduce you to the first doctor who donated her body to Tzu Chi for medical research- Dr. Qiu Zhaorong(丘昭蓉), who died from liver cancer. While she was alive, she dedicated herself wholeheartedly to serving the needy along Taiwan”s secluded east coast.
繼續為您介紹第一位捐出大體，貢獻於醫療研習的醫師－丘昭蓉醫師，她因為肝癌而往生，她一生奉獻在東台灣偏遠地區服務。
5.解剖十五(一)True spirit of selflessness
The notion of Silent Mentors first became a reality when Master Cheng Yen called for a body donation program that prioritized the peace of mind of both the donors and their family members. The tradition of honoring Silent Mentors, pioneered by Tzu Chi, not only helps students embrace cadavers as teachers, but also inspires them to treat the patient as well as the disease.
慈濟大體捐贈，證嚴上人要求大體捐贈要做到讓生者心安、亡者靈安，無語良師的概念是慈濟首創，讓解剖臺上的大體，不再只是沒有情感聯接的實驗教具，能影響大醫王視病猶親。
6.愛在菲揚(2)玫瑰復健路程Physiotherapy for separated twins
It has been year since the formerly conjoined Molit twins, from the Philippines, were successfully separated at Hualien Tzu Chi Hospital, in Taiwan. Back in their hometown near Cebu, the two have been going to physiotherapy to correct the curvature in their spines. It is not easy for the poor family to afford the treatment, but there are plenty of kindhearted people to look after them.
一年前，玫瑰小姐妹在台灣花蓮慈院成功完成分割手術，也回到他們的故鄉－宿務，持續進行復健計畫，一周三天矯正側彎的脊椎，要到醫院就診的費用高，對貧窮的他們來說，加上來回2個小時的車程，真的相當困難，還好，宿務慈濟人發揮愛心照顧他們。

1987 Ozone protocol
Signed by more than 20 nations, including the United States, on this day in 1987, the Montreal Protocol outlined measures to stop depletion of the ozone layer. In 1995, the UN made September 16 the international day for the preservation of the ozone layer. Today, more than 190 countries have joined the protocol.
2001 Typhoon Nali flood relief
Mid-strength typhoon Nali made land on Taiwan”s northeast coast on the evening of this day, in 2001. The heavy rain it carried flooded Qidu七堵, Nuannuan暖暖, Ruifang and other areas. Tzu Chi volunteers split up into teams to assess the needs of local residents, bringing them hot meals, dry food, and toiletry bags.
2004 1st TCU media class graduates
At the Jing Si Abode in Hualien, Master Cheng Yen personally handed Tzu Chi”s humanitarian work uniforms to graduating students from the first class at the media department of Tzu Chi University. As they went on to take internships, the Master hoped the graduates would stick to their charity mission, and become seeds of truth, goodness and beauty.
1987年蒙特婁議定書保護臭氧層，包括美國等二十多個國家，1987年共同簽署蒙特婁議定書，保護臭氧層的國際協定，並且從1995年開始，由聯合國將每年的九月十六號訂為國際臭氧層保護日，如今有190多個國家響應。

造成七堵、暖暖、瑞芳等地淹水，當地的慈濟志工分批前往勘災，提供熱食、乾糧和生活用品給受困居民。
2004年首屆慈大傳播系受袍傳衣化清流，在花蓮靜思精舍，證嚴法師將慈濟人文志業的工作服，致贈給每一位慈濟大學傳播系的第一屆學生，期勉學生進入職場實習時，都保有愛的使命感，成為真善美的種子。
8.微笑站起(一)Minamisanriku on the path to recovery
Six months on, many of the March 11 disaster victims are still living in temporary homes. Tzu Chi has carried out several cash distributions to help locals rebuild their lives. In Mi-na-mi-san-ri-ku Town of Miyagi Prefecture, the land subsided by nearly 1 meter after the disaster. The local government has asked residents to rebuild on higher ground, out of harm”s way.
日本三一一大地震屆滿半年，仍有多數人住在避難所及組合屋，慈濟人多梯次前往發送見舞金，協助災民重建家園，位在日本宮城縣的南三陸町，地震後陸地內縮下陷將近一百公分，政府將執行復興計畫，放棄靠海平原重建，決定將往內陸高台遷居。
