1.淶源二日發放Thoughtful aid distribution in Laiyi
At Tzu Chi”s winter distribution in Laiyi of Hebei province, the temperature was down to 14 degrees below freezing. Volunteers prepared hot soup for aid recipients, and even went to pick up elderly and disabled residents, and personally bring them to the distribution site.
慈濟在大陸的冬令發放，來到了河北淶源，發放當天，氣溫只有零下14度，志工貼心準備了熱騰騰的湯麵，甚至還親自到山裡頭去接行動不便鄉親到發放現場領取物資。
2.東莞石龍冬令Distribution in Dongguan
In the next report we go to Shilong Town, in Dongguan of Guangdong Province, to join the Tzu Chi aid distribution in that helped 161 low-income families.
接下來的報導，我們來到廣東東筦的石龍鎮，參與慈濟的發放，幫助161戶低收入家庭。

Tzu Chi”s year-end blessing ceremonies are still underway in China, and in Kunshan, in Jiangsu Province, nearly 2,000 local residents attended the celebratory events. At one of the ceremonies, volunteer Xu Weikai(徐偉凱) shared with the audience his personal story.
在中國大陸，慈濟歲末祝福在各地進行著，在江蘇昆山的歲末祝福，共有將近兩千位當地民眾參與，其中一場，慈濟志工徐偉凱，用自己的故事希望啟發更多人的愛心。

Before Chinese New Year, it is customary to give homes a good clean, and that”s why in Hong Kong, Tzu Chi volunteers extended a helping hand to tidy up the home of a frail 93-year-old man.
快要過農曆年了，家家戶戶都要打掃居家環境，因此香港慈濟志工最近就為一位高齡九十三歲獨居的梁爺爺打掃房子。
5.八八治水River defenses in south
When Typhoon Morakot ravaged southern Taiwan in 2009, Kaohsiung and Pingtung in particular suffered serious flooding. To stop tragedy striking again, the government worked to fortify the river defenses. However, the experts say people still need to stay aware, and be ready for disaster.
2009年莫拉克颱風重創南台灣，其中以高雄、屏東淹水最嚴重，避免重導覆轍，行政院重建委員會，在風災後重新整治河川疏濬防洪，但是專家說，還是要有認知避免災害再次發生。
6.來義入住簽約Laiyi permanent housing
A major part of Tzu Chi”s post-Morakot relief efforts involves building permanent housing for disaster victims. Recently in Pingtung County”s Laiyi Township, a ceremony was held to formally hand over the second set of houses to 58 families.
莫拉克風災後，慈濟展開援建計畫，包括為災民建蓋永久屋，最近在屏東的來義鄉，志工舉辦一場儀式，將第二期的永久屋送給58戶人家。
7.雪山上的活化石(四)Film-maker captures hynobius fuca
Taiwan”s Shei-pa National Park is recreating a suitable habitat to restore the endangered Taiwan Lesser Salamander. Film director Chen Jinfa, who took three years to capture the rare amphibians on his award winning documentary in 2007, is now helping train volunteers at the national park on a weekly basis.
台灣雪霸國家公園要幫助復育瀕臨絕種的觀霧山椒魚，陳進發導演花三年的時間，拍攝觀霧山椒魚，並在2007年在美國獲獎，如今他每星期也協助國家公園培訓解說志工。

Taiwan”s first TV station went on the air in 1962. Following the end of martial law in 1987, the choice of channels increased tremendously, leading to intense competition for revenue, and a fall in programming standards. Now in 2012, TV in Taiwan has finally entered the digital era. Although the hardware is in place, it remains to be seen if content will be able to match this new technological leap.
台灣第一家電視台台視在1962年開播，1987年台灣解嚴後，各家電視台如雨後春筍般湧現，卻也因為競爭激烈而品質低落，2012年台灣即將進入數位電視時代，雖然硬體已經準備好了，但要挑戰的還有傳播媒體素養的提升。
9.馬自製燈籠Lanterns & spring couplets for CNY
In preparation of Chinese New Year, in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, volunteers put together some gifts for Tzu Chi”s care recipients. The Jing Si aphorism spring couplets and handmade red lanterns made a festive New Year”s present.
年關將近，馬來西亞新山的慈濟志工，要給照顧戶一份新年禮物，不論靜思語對聯，或是手工燈籠，都是合乎時宜的新年禮物。
10.吉隆坡食品展Tzu Chi at a food expo
Staying in Malaysia, the 2011 Tastefully Food and Beverage Expo took place last month, where Tzu Chi was invited to join the 300 or more vendors. Volunteers used the opportunity to promote the benefits of going meatless.
馬來西亞的報導，上個月馬來西亞吉隆坡，太子世界貿易中心舉辦了一場大型的國際消費者食品展，慈濟獲邀與300多個店家一起參與，志工除了介紹素食食譜，也介紹吃素的好處。
11.美街友熱食Clothes and food for the homeless
As temperatures drop even lower in the northern hemisphere, Tzu Chi volunteers in the US city of Oakland again prepared blankets and winter clothes for the homeless.
隨著北半球溫度降低，美國奧克蘭的慈濟志工準備了毛毯和保暖衣送給街友。
