1. 尖石翻車 新竹慈濟關懷 TW tour bus accident leaves 13 dead

Over the weekend, a tragic accident occurred in Hsinchu(新竹), Taiwan, where a medium sized bus, plunged into a valley in Jianshi(尖石) Township, at 3pm on December 9th, leading to the deaths of 13 passengers, and injuring another 10. The 22 passengers on board, were all members of the alumni association of Taishan(泰山) Elementary School, in New Taipei City. Over 100 volunteers in Hsinchu(新竹) were mobilized to care for the survivors and be-reaved family, and prepared hot meals and ginger tea for the rescue workers.

上周末，在台灣新竹發生悲劇車禍，一台中型巴士在12月9日下午三點於尖石山區整車翻落，造成13人不幸罹難 另外10人輕重傷，乘客都是新北市泰山國小的校友，超過100位慈濟志工動員，前往醫院安慰傷患及家屬並為工作人員提供熱食。

2. 菲156次義診 TIMA’s 156th free clinic

In the Philippines, Chiang Kai Shek College Alumni Association in Manila, invited TIMA doctors to join them on a free clinic, for ophthalmological patients. For TIMA doctors in the Philippines, this was the 156th free clinic.

在菲律賓馬尼拉中正學院校友會，邀請慈濟人醫會參加眼科的義診活動，這也是菲律賓人醫會第156次義診活動。

3. 劉川慈小啟用 甘肅若笠發放 TC shows love to Gansu Province

China Tzu Chi volunteers, have continued to distribute winter aid supplies, to families in need in Jingyuan(靖遠) Township, Gansu(甘肅) Province. With the help of many local volunteers, the supplies were efficiently handed out. Also in Gansu(甘肅) Province, a new elementary school was established in Liuchuan(劉川) Township. This school will offer students an education with Tzu Chi’s humanitarian spirit.

慈濟志工繼續發放過冬物資給甘肅若笠鄉居民，這次因為有多位鄉親的幫助，物資發放的速度加快，而在甘肅的劉川鄉慈濟建了一所新小學，要讓孩子認識慈濟的人文。

4. 巴西水災發放 Handing out relief items & Christmas gifts

In Brazil, I-ta-pe-vi City, Sao Paulo, was flooded in November, thus, Tzu Chi volunteers conducted a relief distribution to help the flood victims. As Christmas is around the corner, the volunteers also prepared Christmas gifts for the children.

巴西聖保羅州伊達卑咪市，在十一月時發生水災，慈濟志工特地前往發放，尤其耶誕節即將到來也準備了耶誕禮物送給小朋友。

5. 馬新芽頒獎 1st New Shoots Scholarship award ceremony

Moving to Malaysia, on December 9th, the Tzu Chi Malacca Chapter held the first New Shoots Scholarship award ceremony. This program rewards students for scholastic achievement, filial piety, full attendance and academic improvement, among other things. The volunteers hope that, with their encouragement, the students can not only achieve good grades but also practice good behavior.

轉到馬來西亞，在12月9日慈濟馬六甲分會舉辦了首屆新芽獎學金頒發典禮，這次分別有 品德、孝悌全勤、進步等等，志工希望透過鼓勵，學生不但可以在學業上繼續努力，更把好品行落實到生活中。

6. 馬六甲新芽獎(六) A story behind each scholarship recipient

Also in Malaysia, behind each New Shoots Scholarship recipient, is a moving and inspiring story of determination and willpower, despite hardship. 9-year-old Sha-ha-dat’s father passed away this April from a heart attack. Since then, he has stepped into his father’s shoes, taking on the responsibility of looking after the household, and also helping his mother at their stall. Because of he action, he was nominated for the filial piety scholarship award.

在馬來西亞，每一位新芽獎學金得主的背後都有一個令人省思的故事， 9歲的沙哈達爸爸在2012年四月因為心臟病往生，他小小年紀就要代替爸爸負起照顧家庭生活的責任，每天幫媽媽擺攤位做生意，沙哈達的孝心讓他獲得慈濟馬六甲分會獎學金孝悌獎的推薦。

7. 教養跟智慧(五) Students inspire parents to volunteer

Tainan(台南) Tzu Chi Senior High School, is known for its humanistic education, which not only influences students but also parents. Two brothers who enrolled in the school five years ago, not only made the tea ceremony tradition a part of their daily lives, but also motivated their parents to become volunteers. The Tzu Chi spirit has truly inspired this family.

臺南慈濟高中的人文教育，不僅讓學生耳濡目染，同時也帶動了家長，五年前，兩位兄弟不僅把學校學習的茶道融入生活中，還帶動父母親加入志工的行列，慈濟的精神真正深入這個家庭。

8. 大愛感恩四年 Happy birthday DA.AI Technology

To celebrate its 4th birthday this year, DA.AI Technology held a fashion show to display its latest designs, featuring Tzu Chi volunteers and family members as models. The spotlight item of course was Tzu Chi’s eco-friendly blanket, which are often given to disaster victims at the organization’s international relief work.

大愛感恩科技過四歲生日，今天有場服裝設計回顧走秀，搶眼的還是 援助賑災用的，由寶特瓶製作成的環保毛毯。

9. 加助小學圓夢 A trip to the aquarium

In Canada, to give underprivileged students at the Admiral Seymour Elementary School, a chance to learn about Mother Nature, Tzu Chi volunteers organized a field trip to the Vancouver Aquarium. Upon seeing the sea animals, the students were very excited and happy.

在加拿大，為了讓西蒙小學的困苦學生也有機會了解大自然，慈濟志工決定帶他們到溫哥華的海洋館，看到這些海洋動物學生們非常興奮和開心。

10. 美花車裝飾 Rose Parade float honors donors

With a history of over 100 years, the Rose Parade, which takes place annually in California, has attracted over one million viewers and participants. Tzu Chi and Donate Life have collaborated, decorating floats to commemorate organ donors. On December 1st, family members of donors gathered to lend a helping hand in the decoration efforts.

在美國加州，有一百多年歷史的玫瑰花車遊行，吸引超過百萬名的觀眾，慈濟志工和器捐組織合作花車布置工作紀念器捐者，許多器捐者的家屬也來一起幫忙 緬懷親愛的家人。

Moving back to Taiwan at the end of the show, 25 medical staff from the Fuding(福鼎) Hospital in China, visited the Jing Si Hall in Kaohsiung(高雄) City. 1. 南大平地村發放 Aid distribution in remote mountain areas

First up in China; after Tzu Chi volunteers completed their winter aid distributions in Yi (易) County, Hebei (河北) Province, they soon arrived at 3 villages in Ganhejing (甘河淨) Township, to continue their work in the most remote and poorest area. To complete the aid distribution before the heavy snow begins, they decided to shorten the event to one day, but still doing their best to ensure that every resident received sufficient aid supplies to get through the cold winter.

首先來到中國，慈濟志工在河北易縣冬令發放結束之後志工隨即前往甘河淨鄉三個村子，在易縣最偏遠最貧窮的鄉鎮進行發放，為了趕在大雪封山之前志工特地將發放濃縮成為一天，希望鄉親能收到物資暖暖過冬。

2. 東莞敬老併 Bringing joy to nursing homes

Also in China, but moving to Guangdong(廣東) Province, Tzu Chi volunteers in Dongguan(東莞), regularly visit local nursing homes. Not only do the elderly people look forward to these visits, but the volunteers themselves also can’t wait to return, as they believe that bringing joy to these senior residents, is the best way to give back.

也是中國的報導，廣東東莞慈濟志工定期到敬老院關懷長輩，除了爺爺奶奶很期待慈濟志工的到來，志工們也相當把握付出的機會，因為老人家能開心地跟著活動就是最溫暖的回饋。

3. 大陸推素併 Promoting concept of vegetarianism

Next, Tzu Chi volunteers in Hong Kong’s New Territory, provided vegetarian lunches at the Ma Kam Chan Memorial English Secondary School (馬錦燦中學). While their counterparts in Kunshan City (昆山), Jiangsu (江蘇) Province, organized 3 sessions of vegetarian cooking class, so more people may learn how to cook meatless dishes.

接著，慈濟志工在香港新界的馬錦燦中學，提供了一天的全素午膳，而在江蘇昆山志工則是連續舉辦了三期的素食烹飪班，希望讓更多人學會做素食。

4. 牽你一輩子(4)托老家庭 Adult Family Daycare provider

In Taiwan, a new type of day care was established 3 years ago: Adult Family Daycare, where a certified family can provide care for seniors during the day. It is for those families that do not have the ability to care for their elderly, yet do not want to send them into a nursing home. Currently, in Taipei, there are 4 families providing care in this way. Let’s take a look, at what it takes to become one of these Adult Family Daycare providers.

三年前台灣新推的托老家庭服務，給那些白天沒時間照顧老人家，可是又不想送家人去老人院，目前台北有證照的托老家庭有四戶，我們來看看 要怎麼樣能成為托老家庭。

5. 許清風轉手心 More blessed to give than to receive

Staying in Taiwan, we meet Mr. Xu(許) who is a deaf-mute, and makes ends meet by collecting recyclables. Mr. Xu’s house once suffered leakages, and thanks to Tzu Chi volunteers, his house was fixed. Knowing that it is more of a blessing to give than to receive, Mr. Xu has become a member of the repair team and follows Tzu Chi volunteers in helping those in greater need.

也是台灣的報導，帶大家認識靠著拾荒養一家人的瘖啞人士 許先生，許先生的家曾經常常漏水，還好慈濟志工幫他把家整修好了，知道施比受更有福，許先生成為修繕工，跟著慈濟志工幫助更需要的人。

6. 360細木作 Joinery wooden furniture

In Taiwan, Changhua(彰化) County’s Lugang(鹿港) was once well known for making traditional furniture, and was especially famous for its finely crafted wooden items. With the passing of time, however, and the decreasing demand for wooden furniture, the industry has slowly declined. In today’s feature report on Taiwan’s sunset trades, we meet Wang Zhaonan(王肇楠) and his brother Wang Zhaohe(王肇鉌), who are still working to preserve the traditional culture in their own way.

台灣的彰化鹿港曾經是台灣木製家具重鎮，特別以精緻細工出名，但隨著時間的飛逝，木頭家具需求減量，讓市場需求大量萎縮，在今天的真情臉譜鍾，我們來認識王肇楠與哥哥王肇鉌，還在這項傳統行業中努力傳承。

7. 教養跟智慧(四) Teacher making a difference

In its 5 years of establishment, the Tainan Tzu Chi Senior High School not only cultivated many outstanding students, but it also provided an opportunity for teachers to fulfill their dreams. An elementary school teacher made it her mission to inspire change in the lives of her students, through promoting vegetarianism and field trips to the recycling station.

臺南慈濟高中，成立五年來，不僅孕育了許多優秀的學生，也讓許多教師在這裡，實踐了志為人師的願望，一位小學部的老師，將改善視為她的使命 ，極力在校內推動素食，以及到環保站做戶外教學 。

8. 馬六甲新芽獎(三) Siblings receive TC Scholarship

To continue with our stories on New Shoots Scholarship recipients in Malaysia, La-li-tham-biai and Lin-ges, a sister-brother pair in Malacca, were awarded the scholarship for their scholastic achievements. After their mother passed away 2 years ago, the two helped their father with household chores and never complained. They hope that, in the future, they can give back to society and help those in disadvantaged situations, like themselves.

持續來看馬來西亞新芽獎的報導，馬六甲有一對慈濟照顧戶姊弟學業成績很好，獲頒慈濟獎學金，兩年前喪母的他們還要幫忙爸爸照料家務，們卻不曾埋怨，期許自己將來能夠回饋社會，幫助像他們一樣處於弱勢環境的人。

9. 校園誠實商店 Teaching students to cherish life

Back in Taiwan, “The Honest Store” is established at Chiayi’s Wufeng(吳鳳) University, to teach students the importance of honesty, helping others, and being grateful. What is unique about this store, is that it does not have a cashier. Instead, customers place the money for each item in a donation box, and all proceeds go towards helping needy students and families.

回到台灣的報導 ，嘉義吳鳳科大設立誠實商店教導學生惜福、誠實、助人觀念，店內物品全由師生將平日用不著的東西捐獻出來，由志工將物品標上標價，誠實商店特別的是，沒有收銀員，同學再依標價自行將錢投入箱子，所得會用來幫助弱勢家庭的學生。

To help children learn to cherish all given resources, teachers at the Tzu Chi Bayan Lepas Kindergarten in Malaysia, asked their students to collected toys and clothes no longer in use, and clean and pack them as gifts for children in the orphanage. 1. 菲火災發放

In the Philippines’ Quezon City, the mis-use of a candle led to a fire which affected nearly 100 families, and claimed the lives of 3 children. Upon hearing of the disaster, Tzu Chi volunteers arrived on the scene to care for the survivors, and handed out relief items and emergency cash.

菲律賓計順，市因為使用蠟燭不慎，半夜發生火災，波及百戶家庭，也造成三名孩童逃生不及死亡，慈濟志工前來關懷，發放物資和慰問金。

2. 菲眼科個案

Staying in the Philippines, in Mun-tin-lu-pa City, 87-year-old Leo-nora suffered from cataracts, and depended on other people to look after her. Thanks to Tzu Chi’s free clinic, Leonora was able to undergo cataract surgery, and regained her eyesight.

在菲律賓的文珍俞巴市，有一位87歲的劉諾拉阿嬤，罹患白內障，生活起居都要人照顧，在慈濟的義診幫助下，阿嬤來到慈濟義診中心接受治療，恢復了視力。

3. 菲惜福義賣

Also in the Philippines, Tzu Chi volunteers held a charity sale at the Ma-lan-day National High School, at the end of November, giving local residents a chance to purchase items at good prices. On the day, hundreds of local residents poured into the venue. Some were shopping for household supplies and some were looking for Christmas gifts for their family.

也是菲律賓的報導，11月24號，菲律賓慈濟志工在馬蘭代中學辦義賣會，讓民眾能購買物美價廉的物品，義賣當天上百人湧進，有人來為家裡添購生活用品，也有人買了要送家人做耶誕禮物。

4. 牽你一輩子(3)聖安娜

Before 1980, Taiwan was a society focused on its economic growth, and so the responsibility for taking care of disabled patients fell on family members, religious groups and social welfare organizations. Among them, St. Anna’s Home in Taipei was established 40 years ago, to help handicapped children who were abandoned by their parents. Some of those orphans are now in their 40s, and St. Anna’s Home is facing a new problem. Due to Taiwan’s regulations, residents who suffer from disabilities, must be moved into senior care facilities, once they reach the age of 50. Those who have been taking care of these children since they were young, are worried about the upcoming changes, and pray that everything works out in the end.

台灣在1980年代以前，大家都在拼經濟，照顧身心障礙者的社會責任，多由民間和宗教團體承擔，聖安娜之家就是在四十年前成立，守護被父母遺棄的身障孩子，有的孤兒已經四十歲了，讓聖安娜面臨轉型的壓力，因為在現行的長照制度下，五十歲以上的身心障礙者必須進入照顧老人為主的機構，聖安娜之家將不能照顧這些孩子到終老。

5. 手搖沙鈴

There are probably hundreds of types of musical instrument around the globe, and each one produces a unique sound. In today’s feature report on Taiwan’s fading industries, we are learning about the making of rumba shakers, who some refer to as ＂ma-ra-cas＂. The rumba shaker usually comes in a pair, and can be made either in leather, wood or plastic. Today, there are only two factories in Taiwan that make the instrument, and we meet one of the owners, Yu Yaozhang. (余躍-金章)

全球大約有上百種樂器，每個樂器的聲音都不同，在今天的真情臉譜，我們來了解手搖沙鈴的製作。沙鈴通常有兩支，可用皮、木頭，或是塑膠做成，如今在台灣只剩下兩間工廠，而我們來認識其中一位老闆。

6. 教養跟智慧(三)

Celebrating its 5th anniversary this year, the Tainan Tzu Chi Senior High School has received many recognition and honors. The hard work and dedication of its principal is one of the reasons behind the school’s success. Principal Zeng Yaosong(曾耀松) traveled halfway across Taiwan, to serve at this school, in order to fulfill a lifelong dream. He has devoted his life to making a difference, in the lives of his students.

台南慈濟高中創校滿五年，深受各界好評，這一切可得歸功學校的大家長曾耀松校長對學校的付出。校長曾耀松會跑到半個台灣遠，來到台南慈濟高中當校長，是為了一圓自己心中的願，他奉獻己力，就是為了讓學生生涯更美好。

7. 馬六甲新芽獎(二)

Here in Malaysia, the implementation of the New Shoots Scholarship by the Tzu Chi Malacca Chapter this year, has motivated many students to develop themselves both academically and behavior-wise. One example is Ka-ma-riah’s three children, who have been nominated for the scholarship’s academic improvement award. With the encouragement and support of Tzu Chi volunteers, the children have shown great improvements in their studies and behavior.

在馬來西亞，慈濟馬六甲分會的新芽助學金，鼓勵許多學生向上，就如同卡瑪妮亞的三位孩子，同時提名慈濟新芽獎學金進步獎，慈濟志工的用心陪伴，孩子們成績大幅躍進，也開始懂得注重品德禮儀。

8. 大愛幼助美東+饅頭助美東

To help Hurricane Sandy survivors in the United States, Chiayi Tzu Chi volunteers in Taiwan, made delicious steam buns to raise funds, and the good cause was supported by medical staff at the Dalin Tzu Chi General Hospital. Meanwhile, also helping the victims, students at the local Tzu Chi kindergarten donated their bamboo coin banks, and even encouraged their parents to give a little of their love.

為了幫助美國桑迪災民，台灣嘉義慈濟志工製作饅頭義賣，大林慈濟醫護人員也紛紛響應，同時，為了幫助災民，大愛幼兒園的學生捐出自己撲滿所存的錢，更鼓勵父母親也一起付出。

1. 牛崗大醫王

In China’s Hebei(河北) Province; following the conclusion of the first winter aid distribution at Niugang(牛崗) Township, Yi(易) County, Tzu Chi volunteers held a free clinic on December 2nd, to care for the local residents.

在中國的河北省，慈濟志工在易縣牛岡鄉進行完冬令發放後，也在12月2日為鄉親進行義診。


2. 瓜地馬拉賑災

In Central America, Guatemala was struck by a 7.4 magnitude earthquake on November 8th. To help survivors, Tzu Chi organized a series of disaster relief efforts. Recently, volunteers once again visited the village of San Pedro Sacatepequez, bringing food and other daily necessities to 1,373 affected families.

來到中美洲，瓜地馬拉在11月8日發生規模7.4地震，災後慈濟志工啟動一連串勘災勸募行動，最近，慈濟志工再次來到聖貝德羅‧薩戈德貝戈斯市，帶來村民最需要的糧食和生活用品，總共幫助1373戶受災戶。

3. 牽你一輩子(2)外勞家庭

As Taiwan’s population increases in age, many families will hire foreign help to take care of their elderly family member. But does the enlisting of help from overseas really solve all of Taiwan’s care problems? According to Taiwan’s government, those with foreign laborers at home, do not qualify for government subsidies, no matter the condition of their loved ones. Let’s take a look.

台灣老年人口越來越多，很多家庭可能會選擇聘僱外籍看護，但擁有外勞，就能真的能解決所有的問題嗎？其實只要家裡有外勞，就被現行的長照體系排除在外，無論家人為什麼需要看護。我們來看看這一家庭的案例。


4. 教養與智慧(二)

At Tainan Tzu Chi Senior High School, students not only receive a well-rounded education but are also surrounded by over 800 dedicated volunteers. Da Ai Mothers teach elementary school students, how to apply words of wisdom to their daily lives. For high school students, Tzu Cheng(慈誠) Fathers and Yide (懿德)Mothers act as mentors, bridging the students’ relationship with their parents and teachers.

台南慈濟高中不僅擁有人文課程，學校更有八百多名教育志工，像小學部就有大愛媽媽，他們教育學生，將靜思語融入生活教育，中學部的慈誠爸爸跟懿德媽媽，扮演著親師生間的潤滑劑。

5. 馬六甲新芽獎(一)

In Malaysia, Tzu Chi volunteers from the, Tzu Chi Malacca Chapter have recently reviewed their scholarship program, and decided to introduce the New Shoots Scholarship, which rewards students for filial piety, scholastic achievement, academic improvement, outstanding achievements and full attendance.

在馬來西亞慈濟馬六甲分會，慈濟志工檢視執行14年的助學金專案，決定轉型為新芽獎學金，增設孝悌獎、品學獎、進步獎、優異獎，還有全勤獎。

6. 金雕藝術師

In today’s feature report on Taiwan’s fading trades, we meet another sculptor: one who turns blocks of gold into beautiful works of art. In Lugang(鹿港), Changhua(彰化), Zheng Yingxie(鄭應諧) has devoted himself to the world of gold sculpting. Today, his son is taking on the family baton, and the pair vows to ensure the tradition shines on.

在今天的真情臉譜專題，我們來認識另外一位藝術師，可以將一塊塊的黃金變成充滿創意的作品。在彰化的鹿港，鄭應諧投入黃金雕刻藝術，如今他的兒子也承接家業，而兩位將讓黃金雕刻持續發光發熱。


7. 亞庇環保站(二)

Back to Malaysia, since the establishment of the Tzu Chi Taman Suria Recycling Station, many elderly housewives found happiness through sorting recyclables. They say, it is hard work but it keeps them happy and healthy, and they also hope to inspire nearby residents, to help turn the community into an eco-friendly one.

在馬來西亞，自從日光城慈濟環保站啟業後，許多銀髮族和家庭主婦從做環保中找到快樂，他們說，雖然辛苦，但還是非常開心也保持健康，志工也希望，透過他們的努力，附近的居民可以加入他們，讓這個社區變得更美麗。


8. 巴生象腳病

Staying in Malaysia, Tzu Chi volunteers recently visited the home of care recipient Mu-nu-samy, a victim of ele-phan-ti-a-sis. As his health is not stable, the volunteers have been caring for him over the past 8 years. To help the ill man, the volunteers have not only fixed the roof of his house, but also installed a flush toilet for him.

持續留在馬來西亞，慈濟志工最近來到患有象腳病的照顧戶姆努沙米的家，因為他的身體狀況不穩定，八年來志工持續關懷，為了讓他的生活更便利，志工不但幫他修屋頂，更裝了坐式馬桶。

1.海地桑迪勘災 Struck by Hurricane Sandy

First up in Haiti, where Hurricane Sandy also tore through the country, and took the lives of 51 people, with 20 others still missing. Leo-gane, which is located west of Port Au Prince, was flooded, and a massive amount of crops was destroyed, resulting in food shortages. On December 2nd, local Tzu Chi volunteers arrived at the mountain area to conduct a disaster survey.

桑迪颱風，造成海地51人死亡大約20人失蹤，利奧甘尼也淹了大水，大量農作物導致糧食短缺，12月2日海地慈濟志工來到山區前往勘災。

2. 美美景港發放 Aid distribution continues

Following the disaster caused by Hurricane Sandy, New York Tzu Chi volunteers arrived at Belle Harbor in Rockaways, to carry out a relief distribution. Now, with Tzu Chi’s cash cards in hand, the victims were also motivated to reciprocate.

持續關懷桑迪風災居民，紐約慈濟志工來到洛克威的美景港社區發放，慈濟帶來的現值卡也帶動了他們回饋的心。

3. 三重海外培訓併 Learning the simple way of life

To welcome all the Tzu Chi volunteers from abroad, the kitchen volunteers at the Tzu Chi Sanchong(三重) Grounds, arranged a special dinner for their guests, to help them experience the frugal way of life, at the Jing Si Abode. Here’s more.

4.牽你一輩子(1)家庭照顧者 Home care assistant for families

In Taiwan, family care subsidy is provided for elderly people over the age of 65; however, coverage for people with special needs do not have a standard guideline. Today, we take a look at a new series of feature reports on, families that need care, and the problems they face in getting the help they need.

在台灣，只有65歲以上老人，才能被納入長照體系，但是，一般的身心障礙者還是沒有標準的法規，今天推出「牽你一輩子」系列報導，帶您一同關心這些家庭的處境。

5. 教養與智慧(一) TCHS cultivates well-rounded students

Tainan(台南) Tzu Chi Senior High School in Taiwan, will celebrate its 5th anniversary on December 18. Over the past 5 years, its unique humanistic education, has not only won recognition in moral education, but also cultivated well-rounded students, who excel in all aspects of life.

12月8號是臺南慈濟高中屆滿五週年，五年來學校特有的人文教育，讓學校擁有品德績優學校的榮譽，學生在各方的表現讓各界刮目相看。

6. 360玉雕 56-year-old jade sculptor, Huang Fushou

In today’s feature report on Taiwan’s fading industries; we meet 56-year-old Huang Fushou(黃福壽), who entered the world of jade sculpting, when he was just 17. With a strong passion for art, Huang(黃) creates works that are not only creative but also lively.

在今天的真情臉譜專題，我們來認識56歲的黃福壽，17歲就投入玉石的世界，對於藝術的熱愛，黃福壽創作出許多生動的作品。

7. 亞庇環保站(一) 1st recycling station in Kota Kinabalu

In Malaysia, the first recycling station in Kota Kinabalu, was recently set up in the shopping district of Ta-man Su-ria. Thanks to the establishment of the recycling station, the elderly in the area have a place to contribute their efforts, to help turn our planet into a cleaner place.

馬來西亞亞庇首座慈濟環保站，坐落在日光城商業區，環保站的啟用讓附近多銀髮族有機會付出，讓我們的地球變得更乾淨。

8. 加西蒙贈書 Deliver books to needy elementary

At the Admiral Seymour Elementary School located in Vancouver, Canada, most students come from low-income families. Due to limited funding, the school is unable to buy new books for the school library. To help, local Tzu Chi volunteers delivered books with Jing Si Aphorisms, which both the students and teachers loved.

加拿大溫哥華西蒙小學，學生大多家境清貧，學校經費有限，圖書館沒有能力增添新書，為了幫助這樣的處境，慈濟志工送來好書，每一本書還貼上靜思語，老師、學生都很喜歡。

1. 美海灣發放

In the United States, as relief work continues for Hurricane Sandy victims, Tzu Chi volunteers in New Jersey carried out another large-scale aid distribution, at the Central Regional Middle School in Bay-ville, helping 600 households. The event was organized by over 100 volunteers, and participated by those, who once received Tzu Chi’s help.

美國新澤西慈濟志工持續在颶風重災區進行發放，這次來到海灣鎮中央地區中學，進行四個小鎮的大型發放，動員一百多位志工，這其中還包括曾接受幫助的災民。

2. 紐約災後服務站+募愛

Also in the United States, it has been a month since Hurricane Sandy struck the East Coast. To make sure those who couldn’t make it to the aid distributions could still receive the cash cards, the volunteers decided to set-up a service booth, at the Tzu Chi Chinatown Liaison Office in New York, which will run until December 21st.

同樣在美國，桑迪風災侵襲美國已經超過一個月了，為了幫助那些因有事無法領到現值卡的鄉親，慈濟志工決定在華埠聯絡處開設災後服務站，這個活動將持續到12月21日。

3. 安格莊發放

In Yi (易) County, Hebei (河北) Province, China Tzu Chi volunteers carried out a three-day winter aid distribution. On the last day, Tzu Chi volunteers went to Ange(安格) Township, which is close to Yishui (易水) Lake. Just recently, the village has experienced torrential rain. To help, nearly 400 Tzu Chi volunteers from Taiwan and China, brought rice and clothes to help 2,899 people.

在中國河北省易縣，慈濟志工舉行三天的冬令發放，最後一天來到安格莊鄉，鄰近易水湖畔，尤其前一陣子適逢暴雨，慈濟發放團，包括台灣慈濟志工與大陸志工，將近四百人，帶來米糧棉衣，總共幫助2899人。

4. 易縣牛崗發放

Still in China, on December 1st, over 390 volunteers from Shanghai(上海), Tianjin(天津) and more, arrived at Niugang(牛崗) Township and Ganhejing(甘河淨) Township, for a distribution and free clinic. In Niugang(牛崗) Township, over 2,754 residents from 12 villages receive supplies from Tzu Chi.

也是中國的報導，12月1日，超過390位，來自上海、天津，及其他地區的志工，前往甘河淨鄉以及牛崗鄉，進行發放與義診，在牛崗鄉，有12個村子的村民前來，超過2754位鄉親領取慈濟準備的物資。

5. 海地角發放

Since the beginning of November, Haiti’s second largest city, Cap Haitian, has been ravaged by torrential rain, which resulted in severe flooding, and took the lives of 16 people. Recently, an aid distribution was carried out, and 250 families received help.

十一月初連續的豪大雨，在海地第二大城海地角造成嚴重的淹水災情，有16個人在大水中不幸罹難，最近進行發放，有250個家庭得到即時的幫助。

6. 萬隆水災熱食

In Indonesia, as heavy rain continues to fall in So-re-ang(索勒昂), the Pa-me-un-ta-san(巴枚汶達汕) Village faces the most devastating flood, it has seen in 20 years. To help, Tzu Chi volunteers in Ban-dung partnered with the local Red Cross, to prepare hot meals for disaster victims.

印尼萬隆南方的索勒昂地區，近來因為豪雨不斷，使得巴枚汶達汕村面臨二十年來最嚴重的水災，慈濟萬隆的志工與當地紅十字會合作，為受災鄉親煮熱食。

Through caring and loving one another, Tzu Chi volunteers work harmoniously together with one heart and mind. Master Cheng Yen hopes that all volunteers learn the spirit behind the Four in One Structure, and put it into practice.

As safeguarding the environment is high on everyone’s list, our carbon footprint is something that we are familiar, but have you heard of water footprint? A water footprint reflects the fresh water, that is consumed in the manufacturing and consumption of products. Let’s take a look at how DA.AI Technology is keeping its water footprint low.

環保意識抬頭，大家對碳足跡應該不陌生，不過您聽過水足跡嗎？，水足跡就是水在生產和消費過程中踏過的腳印，水足跡當然要越小越小，看看一個例子，大愛感恩科技公司的環保毛毯，是怎麼留下小的水足跡。

8. 馬六歲兒持素

For the past 2 years, the Tzu Chi Butterworth Kindergarten, in Malaysia, has been promoting its ＂Passport for Vegetarian Land＂. Among the particpant is 6-year-old He Wanying (何宛穎), who is devoted to the cause. Touched by her enthusiasm, her parents finally agreed to join in.

馬來西亞北海慈濟幼兒園連續兩年推行蔬果護照，當中，六歲的何宛穎堅持茹素，她的恆心最終還打動家人，一起健康茹素。

9. 用愛彌補頒獎

In a world without sound and language, how do we communicate with our loved ones? To interact with his father, 9-year-old Dan Yangde(淡養德) from Taiwan, drew his life story with his deaf-mute father, and was even awarded the gold medal in the 15th Children’s Literature Award, held by Noordhoof Cra-nio-facial Foundation.

在沒有聲音和語言的世界裡，如何跟家人溝通呢？為了能與父親溝通，在台灣，九歲的淡養德，把自己和聾啞爸爸的故事畫成一本書 ，更因此得到羅慧夫顱顏基金會第十五屆用愛彌補兒童文學獎的金獎。

1. 廈門冬令家訪

As the first region to open its doors to investment in China, Xiamen boasts a vibrant economy. However, behind the prosperity, there are still many poverty-stricken areas. To help, Tzu Chi volunteers are planning to organize winter aid distributions to help 12,700 households. To get the upcoming aid distribution ready, volunteers first visited the recipients to inform them of the event.

廈門是大陸最早開放的經濟特區之一，商業繁榮，但繁榮的背後也有陋巷簡屋，慈濟冬令發放，預計將發放一萬二千七百戶，為了讓發放順利進行，志工特地上門告知訊息。

2. 菲火災關懷

In mid-November, various fires broke out in the cities, of Marikina and Mun-tin-lu-pa in the Philippines, destroying 100 houses and leaving over 400 families affected. Upon hearing of the disaster, Tzu Chi volunteers brought aid supplies to visit the fire victims.

十一月中旬，菲律賓馬利僅那市以及文珍俞巴市都發生火災，上百戶房舍全毀，四百多戶人家被波及，慈濟志工接獲消息，前往關懷發放。

3. 菲17號大愛屋

Following the devastation of Typhoon Ketsana in 2009 in the Philippines, the relief work program inspired many local residents to join the ranks of volunteers. Nevertheless, many of these local volunteers live in difficult conditions, like Lorna, who lives in Old Ba-la-ra in Quezon City. Every time it rains, water will leak into her home, thus, Tzu Chi volunteers decided to help Lorna renovate her home.

菲律賓在2009年凱莎娜風災過後，多了一批志工生力軍，他們多半生活並不好過，像是在計順市舊巴拉拉里的羅娜，她的房子每逢下雨就會漏水，因此志工決定幫她整修房屋。

4. 泰馬加勸募

To continue supporting Hurricane Sandy victims in the United States, students at Canada’s Toronto and Richmond Tzu Chi Academy canvassed for donations through music performances and more. Meanwhile in Asia, Tzu Chi volunteers in Malaysia and Thailand took to the streets and visited hospitals to inspire even more people to join the good cause.

為援助美東風災，加拿大多倫多和列治文人文學校的學生，透過音樂表演募款；同時在亞洲，馬來西亞和泰國慈濟志工走上街頭，以及到當地的醫院，希望可以啟發更多人的善心。

5. 消失的地平線(4)

Pond farming in Taiwan’s Yunlin County is big business and has been so, for the past 30 years. However, the years of using groundwater freely, are at an end, as Yunlin County struggles to control the problems brought on by excessive land subsidence. Farmers have now turned to seawater farming, and the government has helped out by providing them with water supply systems that deliver seawater right to their doorstep. Here’s more.

雲林一帶的養殖業有超過三十年歷史，多年來抽取地下水養殖，已經受到重視，雲林政府開始正視地層下陷問題，現在養殖業者開始使用海水養殖，政府推動海水統籌供應系統，幫助業者改成海水養殖，請看以下報導。

Staying in Taiwan, but moving to Kaohsiung, every day 3 senior residents living in Gangshang(岡山) District will visit a single-parent family in which both father and son are mentally challenged. The three seniors say it is hard work to care for the pair; however, love is priceless.
