1.智利水患發放TC helps residents of La Pincoya

In Chile, the heavy rains towards the end of June, damaged 43 houses in La Pin-coya, a slum area situated by the capital. Upon receiving the news from a local congressman, Tzu Chi volunteers arrived with relief items, as well zinc plates, to help residents make repairs to their roofs.

智利正值寒冬,而六月底的豪雨,首都附近的貧民區,有四十三戶人家屋頂受損,一聽到國會議員的求援,志工立即動員送來鋅板,協助他們整修屋頂。



2.福建助學金Handing out financial assistance

In China, to help impverished students, on their path of education, two scholarship award ceremonies, were held in Ningde(寧德) City and Nanjing(南靖) City of Fujian(福建) Province. With Tzu Chi by their side, these students are learning valuable lessons, that they will carry with them, for the rest of their lives.

在中國,為了幫助貧困家庭的孩子求學路不中斷,在福建省,在寧德與南靖舉行了頒發助學金典禮,有了志工的陪伴,這些學生知道未來他們的日子不再孤單。


3.深圳公廣大賽Public Service Advertising contest

In Guandong(廣東), China, at a recent Public Service Advertising contest, organized by Shenzhen(深圳) Media Group, Da Ai TV was the only overseas partner, invited to take part. It is hoped that this collaboration, may serve as a platform, to spread positive energy across Guangdong (廣東), Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan.

在一場由深圳廣電集團舉辦的公益廣告大賽中,大愛電視台被邀請成為唯一境外合作伙伴,希望透過交流,能共同在廣東、香港、澳門和台灣,打造出社會的正能量。


4.失落世代(1)新鮮人停看聽Hard choices for college graduates

June marked the end of the school year, for most of Taiwan`s college students. Although a time of celebration for many, with Taiwan`s economic outlook still gloomy, many students are faced with the choice of, trying to either find a job, in this difficult market, or continuing on with their schooling. In our next report, let`s find out why one third of students in the country, is unable to find a job, within six month of grduation.

六月是台灣大學生畢業的季節,畢業固然值得慶祝,但目前台灣經濟前景不明,許多學生面臨該出社會找工作,還是繼續升學的困難選擇,今天的專題中,帶大家看看為何三分之一的學生,無法在半年內找到工作。


5.新莊環保感恩Tea gathering for recycling volunteers

In New Taipei City`s Xinzhuang(新莊) District, Tzu Chi volunteers organized a tea gathering at the Fuying(福營) recycling station, to thank the recycling volunteers for their selfless dedication. As the recycling station is situated on a major road, Tzu Chi volunteers took the chance to remind recycling volunteers, to be aware of their own safety when volunteering.

在新北市新莊區,慈濟志工在福營環保站舉辦茶會,感恩環保志工的辛勤付出,由於環保站就在車道前面,志工也把握機會,提醒環保志工注意安全問題。


6.廣東普寧環保A new recycling point in Puning City

In Guangdong(廣東) Province, China, a glass factory owner in Puning(普寧) City, recently donated his factory to Tzu Chi, which was later turned into a recycling point. Thanks to this kindhearted owner, recycling volunteers, can now practice recycling in a bigger space.

在中國廣東的普寧市,一位玻璃廠的老闆捐出自己的工廠給慈濟,這個地方也成為了當地的環保點,因為這個熱心的老闆,環保志工現在能有個大一點的地方做資源回收。


7.0630照顧癲癇兒Living with refractory epilepsy

There are about 200,000 epilepsy sufferers in Taiwan, and about 30 percent of them, have the more serious form of the condition, called refra-ctory epilepsy. Next we meet, Lv Siwei(呂思緯), whose brain and motor functions were damaged, by his frequent seizures. However, his mother refused to give up, and finally helped the boy, get a chance at a normal life.

台灣目前約有二十萬人患有癲癇,其中三成是無法以藥物控制,非常難以救治的頑性癲癇,現在為您介紹的呂思緯,就是因為長期的癲癇發作,造成他智力和運動能力受損,但因為他的媽媽從未放棄過,讓他有機會也能擁有正常的人生。

8.約堡腦麻關懷Tzu Chings bring joy to patients

Since 2001, Johannesburg Tzu Chi volunteers in South Africa, have conducted regular visits, to the local United Cerebral Palsy Association,to care for the patients there. Recently, the youth volunteers brought some aid supplies, and spent time singing and dancing, with the UCPA residents.

南非約堡的慈濟志工,從2001年開始,固定會前往當地的UCPA腦麻收容中心,最近慈青帶來一些物資,與跟院生跳舞唱歌。


9.馬素粽義賣Sticky rice dumplings for charity

In Malaysia, to raise funds for the construction of the Penang dialysis and education centers, a two-day glutinous rice dumpling making event, was held at the Ba-tu Pa-hat Liaison Office. Thanks to the help of 125 volunteers, a total of 2,748 sticky rice dumplings were made, which generated more than 5,064 USD dollars in sales.

在馬來西亞,為了籌募檳城洗腎及教育中心的建設經費,峇株巴轄聯絡處,舉辦了兩天的包粽活動,因為125位志工的幫忙,包了2,748顆粽子,募得約5,064美元的善款。

We go back to South Africa at the end of the show. Tzu Chi volunteers visited Blue Downs, the sub-urb of cape Town, to remind local residents of the upcoming winter aid distribution.
