Coming up in today`s show, in the Philippines, Tzu Chi volunteers are holding an aid distribution and a free clinic for last year`s flood victims.

We begin a new series of feature reports, to investigate the effect urban development have on rivers around the globe, starting in Brazil.

And, in Malaysia, volunteers are getting ready for the upcoming musical at the Tzu Chi Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Chapter.

1.菲寶發發放

After Typhoon Bopha caused severe devastation in Mindanao Island, in the southern Philippines the end of last year, Tzu Chi volunteers rushed to conduct a disaster survey, after which they organized a 2-day aid distribution in Compostela and New Bataan. Overall, 6,500 households received Tzu Chi`s help. TIMA doctors were also onsite to provide medical care.

寶發颱風重創菲律賓，南部民答那峨島之後，慈濟志工隨即進行勘災，並在康波斯特拉鎮，以及新苗達安鎮，進行發放，共有六千五百戶接受幫助，人醫會醫師也深入災區辦義診。


2.廣東汕頭冬令

In China`s Guangdong Province(廣東), Tzu Chi volunteers carried out a winter aid distribution in Chaoyang(潮陽) District of Shantou(汕頭). As the distribution was the first in the area, many residents registered to volunteer, in hopes to contribute a little of their love to help their community.

在中國的廣東，慈濟志工在汕頭潮陽區，舉辦冬令發放，因為是第一次，所以很多鄉親主動報名來當志工，希望能為社區貢獻一分心力。


3.馬幼兒尋根

Teachers and children from the Da Ai Kindergartens in Malaysia recently traveled to Taipei, Taiwan, to celebrate Da Ai TV`s 15th anniversary. Afterwards, they paid a visit to the Jing Si Abode in Hualien. In addition to a guided tour, the children also helped in making Jing Si soaps and learned life wisdom from a Jing Si Abode master.

馬來西亞慈濟幼兒園的師生，近期來到台灣台北，參加慈濟大愛台15週年慶，之後，到花蓮靜思精舍尋根，除了精舍導覽以外，孩子們也學習製作靜思淨皂，也跟靜思精舍法師，學習生活智慧。

4.河苦何苦(1)

Ancient civilizations - such as Egypt, Shanghai, and Me-so-po-tamia - were all built around water sources. However, with advances in technology and easy access to water, younger generations are forgetting to protect their water sources. In our new series on water protection, we head to Brazil to see the problems facing its rivers.

知名古文明，埃及、上海、美索不達米亞，都是靠水源的城市，而如今的進展和簡略的水來源，下一代已經忘記要保護水源了，如今的河苦何苦系列報導，我們到巴西，看看他們面臨的河川問題。


5.大愛15周年(大愛戲劇)

(lead out)We continue our water shortage series tomorrow in Brazil`s Itapu and Belo Monte Dam, to see how changing of water course is influencing the ecosystem. But back to today, as Tzu Chi`s founder, Master Cheng Yen says, the media plays a vital role in today`s society and can bring about positive changes to our community. Da Ai TV was established 15 years ago for exactly that purpose and over the years it has continued to spread a positive message to its viewers. One of its most popular programs are the Da Ai Dramas, which depict the real-life stories of Tzu Chi volunteers. Over the past 13 years, 178 dramas have been produced with another 70 mini series produced since 2011.

明天，河苦何苦的專題中，我們要帶大家深入了解，巴西的伊泰普 美山水壩，改變水源後，如何影響生態。不過，今天繼續來看，如證嚴上人所說，媒體在今天社會裡，扮演很重要的角色，可以為社會帶來安定力量，而正如此，15年前，成立了大愛台，多年來持續為觀眾，帶來正面的影響，其中最受歡迎的節目，就是大愛劇場，取材自慈濟志工的人生故事，13年來 總共製作178部，而且從2011年開始，也製作了70部長情劇展。

6.人文志業歲末

To mark the beginning of a new year, the year-end blessing ceremony at the Tzu Chi Humanitarian Centre, in Taipei, saw a huge turnout of participants. Members of the public at the ceremony, not only absorbed Master Cheng Yen`s words of wisdom; some were moved to tears by the inspiring stories of Tzu Chi volunteers and its members.

為了迎接新的一年，慈濟人文志業中心，歲末祝福，信眾蜂擁而至，除了聆聽上人法語，也有人被溫馨的故事和志工，感動到落淚。

《 衲履足跡 》：談清修士 On Practitioner

Vowing to become a practitioner means letting go of all desires and needs, and purify the inner self so living beings may be guided to enlightenment.

Religion is about educating everyone on the correct purpose in life, leading them to a righteous and positive path.

立志修行者，必須無欲無求、淨化內心，走入人群度眾生；宗教本在引導人人具有正確的人生宗旨以及終身教育，在人間鋪出一條康莊道路。

7.雪隆演繹驗收

In Malaysia, as the year-end ceremony being hosted by the Kuala Lumpur & Selangor Tzu Chi Chapter is drawing near, and after months of practice in small groups, the more than 600 participants came together for their first dressed rehearsal. Also coming together to practice were members of the choral section, which is composed of volunteers who didn`t have time to join sign language performance, but still want to be part of the year-end show.

在馬來西亞，慈濟雪隆分會，舉辦的歲末祝福，眼看日子越來越近，各組團體練習了好幾個月，六百多位志工首度進行彩排，一同參與練習的還有經文唱頌班，由無暇參與手語演繹的志工組成，但他們依舊有參與歲末祝福的心。

8.約旦歲末祝福

Moving to Jordan, Tzu Chi volunteers have been busy holding relief distributions to help refugees from Syria; however, they still managed to organize a small-scale year-end blessing ceremony early this month. Jameel, who was just certified at the end of last year, shared his experience of returning to Taiwan, and also made a wish of calling on more bodhisattvas to join Tzu Chi.

轉到約旦，慈濟志工忙著敘利亞難民的發放工作，但還是舉辦了一場歲末祝福，去年底才剛完成，受證的道地約旦人-濟定，就特別分享了這次回台的心得，也許下新年願望，期待能夠有更多人加入志工行列。

9.西華飯店環保

Doing recycling doesn`t always have to take place at a recycling station. In Taiwan, over the past 10 years, volunteers from Taipei`s Songshan(松山) District have been sorting recyclables at a makeshift point, every Monday and Thursday afternoon. As the area is the receiving dock of a hotel, Tzu Chi volunteers promptly and quickly sort the recyclables at 4pm rain or shine.

做環保不一定要到環保站，十多年來，臺北市松山區慈濟志工，每個星期一、四下午，固定進行資源回收分類，在一家飯店後方空地，的貨車驗收貨，不過，志工不論颳風下雨，一到下午四點，就快速來做環保。

We go to Canada at the end of today`s show, and join Toronto Tzu Chi volunteers who traveled 100km west to Kitchener City, to hold a tea ceremony, in hopes of introducing Tzu Chi to the local community. 1.蘇州歲末演繹

At the year-end blessing ceremony in China`s Suzhou(蘇州), over 1,000 volunteers from all across the country came together to put on a sign language performance. Despite having limited time to practice, volunteers still seized every opportunity to rehearse, and in the end, put on a successful show.

在蘇州志業園區的歲末祝福，超過一千多位來自中國，各地區的慈濟志工，一起演繹手語，即使沒有很多練習時間，志工們仍然把握練習時間，並圓滿的呈現手語劇。


2.竹歲末典範

Also practicing for year-end blessing ceremony performances are the volunteers from Hsinchu Liaison Office in Taiwan where, Tzu Chi volunteers put on short skits that told the inspiring real life stories of volunteers. One recycling volunteer, Kuo Yue-e(郭月娥), who once suffered from depression, found peace of mind in practicing recycling. And Lin Qinghua(林慶華) and his wife used to constantly argue, however, after they joined Tzu Chi, the family has found peace at home.

也是歲末祝福演繹練習的報導，來自慈濟新竹聯絡處的志工，透過短劇，來詮釋人品典範的故事，環保志工郭月娥曾是躁鬱症患者，在做環保中找到了生命的出口，林慶華夫妻過去常常吵架，一起做志工後，家庭就出現平和的日子了。


3.桃叛逆兒入經藏

What are parents to do when facing rebellious teens? In Taoyuan, Chen Yuanhao`s(陳元豪) parents asked him to join the sign language musical to repent for coloring his hair. Although reluctant at first, Chen found that he gained much more than just forgiveness from his parents. Let`s take a look.

當小孩進入青春期，身為家長的你怎麼辦？桃園的陳元豪的父母，就要求他一起入經藏，為染髮懺悔，僅管陳元豪一開始是不甘願，但法一入心 收穫卻比得到，父母親的原諒來得多，我們來看看。


4.巴生經藏夫妻

In Malaysia, Klang Tzu Chi volunteers participating in the upcoming Water Repentance Sutra are practicing hard to make sure they get everything down pat before the performance. Among the performers are Hong Jinsheng(洪金生) and Chen Guiying(陳桂英). Nearly 70 years of age, the couple is an inspiring example of how you are never too old to learn.

在馬來西亞，巴生入經藏志工們，都在努力練習妙音妙手，期盼能在歲末當天，呈現出莊嚴道氣，其中，洪金生和同修陳桂英，快要七十歲了的他們，成了活到老學到老的典範。

Thoughts will inevitably rise and fall, but one must tame them with perseverance and allow the mind to be pure and at ease.

心念難免起伏，要有毅力降伏，讓心在輕安、清淨的境界。


5.慈青監獄關懷

Continuing in Taiwan, a group of Tzu Chings extended their stay in Hualien, after the conclusion of the Annual Overseas Tzu Ching Seminar, to take part in volunteer work at the Hualien Tzu Chi Hospital. The youth volunteers also traveled to the Ziqiang (自強) Prison where, among other activities, one Tzu Ching who has a family member that is a former inmate, shared his story.

持續是台灣的報導，一群來自海外的慈青，延長他們留在花蓮台灣的日子，從參加全球慈青日之後，就接著參加志工營，他們來到自強監獄，不僅帶來許多活動，也有慈青分享自己，也曾是受刑人家屬的故事。


6.印照顧戶阿爾丹

Six years ago Ardan Yusrin of Jakarta, Indonesia suffered from a stroke that reduced much of his mobility and led to the loss of his job and family. Although life has not been easy for Yusrin, he remains positive and he has found temporary lodging at a community activity center.

印尼雅加達的阿爾丹，六年前，因為中風，行動不便、失去工作，人生的不順遂並沒有讓他喪志，還暫時住在社區活動中心，也常常協助社區事務。


7.上海昆山環保併

Heading over to China. Tzu Chi volunteers in Kunshan(昆山), Jiangsu(江蘇) Province, carried out an event to promote environmental protection. Meanwhile, in Shanghai, Tzu Chi volunteer, Xie Haiying(謝海英) brought volunteers to sort recyclables in a commercial building in hopes of introducing Tzu Chi`s ideals to more people.

轉到中國，江蘇昆山的慈濟志工，在金谷園社區，舉行環保推廣活動；而在上海，志工謝海英，在帶著志工在和平商廈，定期做資源分類，希望讓更多人，了解慈濟環保理念。


《 衲履足跡 》談形象 On Image

Our image reflects our identy, and it is our responsibility to maintain that image. The neat appearance and harmonious demeanor of Tzu Chi volunteers also reflect their inner sincerity, integrity, faith and honesty.

形象要與身分相合，而且要盡到所具身分、形象的責任。慈濟人梳戴整齊，外表皆代表其身分與責任；內修誠、正、信、實，所以人人真誠合心、方向一致。


8.大幸福陳碧華

Returning to Taiwan, Tzu Chi volunteer Chen Bihua(陳碧華) vowed to donate 1 million NTD, to help Master Cheng Yen build a Tzu Chi Hospital. Chen(陳) says, how strong your willpower is, that`s how much power you will have and, if it`s the right path, you should then walk with courage.

轉到台灣，慈濟委員陳碧華，曾發願要捐一百萬，協助證嚴上人蓋醫院，願有多大，力量就有多大，只要方向正確，就要勇敢往前走。


9.大愛十五周年(兒童節目)

Continuing our celebration of Da Ai TV`s annual birthday. Over the past 15 years, apart from its popular Da Ai Dramas and its daily Da Ai News, Da Ai`s children programming have also gained numerous awards over the years. These shows not only help children learn outside of their classroom, but also build a positive character in their young viewers. Let`s take a look.

也是大愛台周年的報導，走過十五個年頭，除了金字招牌的大愛劇場，快柔準的大愛新聞之外，優良且多元化的兒童節目，也備受肯定、獲得許多肯定，大愛兒童文教節目，不侷限於教室教學，而更是幫助孩子，培養健全的品格。


10.賴索托大愛台

As the number of volunteers continues to grow in Africa, satellite receivers were installed in the homes of local volunteers to give residents in Lesotho a chance to learn more about Tzu Chi and follow closely in the footsteps of Master Chen Yen, and loyal viewers in Africa send their heartfelt blessings.

在非洲本土志工人數，一直在增加，為了讓賴索托本土志工多了解慈濟，更緊跟隨著上人的腳步，志工們家中都有安裝小耳朵，這群在非洲最終時的觀眾，也獻上最衷心的祝福。

At the end of the show, we head to Keelung District in Taiwan, where Tzu Chi volunteers held a 3-day year-end celebration. Students prepared for the event by staying after school two hours a day to rehearse. One participant returned on the last day of the event, to bring back her filled bamboo coin bank. 1.菲大米發放併

In the Philippines, Tzu Chi volunteers have been helping the poor by handing out rice through aid distributions. On their last rice distribution in 2012, volunteers decided to hold the event at Antipolo City, which is some 30km away from Manila. On the day of the event, more than 200 volunteers were mobilized to hand out rice to 5,500 families.

在菲律賓，慈濟志工透過大米發放，幫助困苦家庭，在2012年最後一場發放，志工們決定在安地波羅市進行，距離馬尼拉不到30公里，活動當天，動員兩百多位志工，為5500戶低收入家庭發放。

2.大愛十五周年(真善美新聞後盾)

Da Ai TV has the world`s largest number of reporters. In Taiwan alone, there are over 4,000 of them and they go by the name of media volunteers. These volunteers assist the Da Ai News team, in shooting footage and gathering information from all around the globe.

大愛電視台，擁有全世界最多記者的電視台，光是在台灣 就超過四千多人，其實他們有一個共同的名字，叫做人文真善美志工，協助大愛台，提供相關影視資料和畫面。


3.愛爾蘭看大愛

In our continuing series on Da Ai TV in celebration of its 15th anniversary, we travel to Europe where Tzu Chi volunteers are few and far in-between. However, thanks to Da Ai TV, these volunteers can remain connected to their Tzu Chi family and Master Cheng Yen`s teachings. The TV station has also been instrumental in bringing many new volunteers on board.

大愛15年感恩回首系列報導，我們來到歐洲，這裡的慈濟人相對少見，還好有大愛電視台，慈濟志工才能繼續收到，慈濟的訊息與上人的教誨，大愛電視也發揮啟發志工的功能。

4.美訪東非難民

As many refugees flee to the United States, to escape war and conflicts in their home country, we meet Dahaba`s family from Eri-tre-a, who is now settling in North Carolina with her family. While studying English at a community college, she met Tzu Chi volunteer, Liao Wenque(廖雯雀). Knowing that life is difficult for the family of six, Tzu Chi volunteers brought them mattresses, and food supplies.

許多難民都逃到美國尋求庇護，就帶各位認識，現在住在北卡來自厄利垂亞的黛哈巴一家人，黛哈巴在社區學校學習英文，而認識了慈濟志工廖雯雀，志工了解黛哈巴的生活情況後，就送來床舖和食物。


5.美花車器捐

Staying in the United States, Tzu Chi volunteers have been partnering with the Donate Life Foundation, to decorate their float for the Rose Parade each year. This year`s float featured 72 donors` portraits, including a student from the Tzu Chi New Jersey Academy, Jia Yixiu(賈一修), who`s organs gave six families hope.

也是美國的報導，慈濟志工每年都會與，國際器官捐贈組織合作，共同布置花車，今年，有七十二位器官捐贈者的肖像，其中一位，是就讀新澤西慈濟人文，學校的賈一修，他捐出的器官，讓六個家庭得以重生。


6.達拉斯贈書

At the Tzu Chi Dallas Chapter in the United States, volunteers have been caring for the students at the Barack Obama Male Leadership Academy, for over a year now. As a token of their appreciation, the school`s principal and students, are collecting recyclables and donating the money to Tzu Chi.

美國慈濟達拉斯分會，一年多來，志工都會到歐巴馬中學，關懷這裡的學生，為了感恩慈濟的付出，校長和學生，一起做回收，也把錢捐給慈濟。


7.南卡一人一善

In South Carolina of the United States, Charleston currently does not have a Tzu Chi office, and the area only has one commissioner as well. To invite more people to join Tzu Chi, volunteers from near-by, arrived to help organize a tea gathering, to spread the seeds of love to even more people.

美國南卡羅萊納州，查爾斯頓市，目前還沒有慈濟的聯絡點，這裡也只有一位慈濟委員，為了讓更多人認識慈濟，來自附近地區的慈濟法親，特地一起舉辦茶會，希望灑播更多美善種子。


《 衲履足跡 》談發揮良能 On Realizing Our Potential

By putting one`s ability to good use, we become guardian angels to many in life; however, misusing our abilities will cause disruption in society.
Those having a healthy body, yet do not make good use of their abilities, are no less different to a person with disabilities.

若將身體功能用得正確，我們都是人人生命中的貴人；若用錯了，使父母傷心、擾亂社會人群。擁有健全的身體，若不懂道理，無法發揮良能，也如同殘疾一樣。


8.北歲末祝福併

The end of the year is a time, when Tzu Chi volunteers around the globe hold their year-end blessing ceremonies. In Taiwan`s Taipei, volunteers in both Wanhua(萬華) and Daan(大安) Districts, recently held blessing ceremonies to which they invited many local residents to take part.

每年到了年終，全球慈濟志工都在各地區展開歲末祝福，而在台灣的台北，在萬華與大安區，最近舉辦的歲末祝福，邀請了社區的民眾來參與。


9.蘇州歲末人物

In China, the Tzu Chi Suzhou Grounds, held its very first year-end blessing ceremony on December 29th last year. Since agreeing to take part in the musical adaptation of the Water Repentance Sutra, Pan Minxia (潘敏霞) has been working hard to make good use of her time. Let`s hear her story.

在中國 慈濟蘇州志業園區，在12月29日第一次舉辦歲末祝福，自從答應參加水懺演繹開始，潘敏霞懂得善用時間練習，來看看她的故事。

1. 土城縱火關懷

On January 1, in New Taipei City’s Tucheng(土城) District, a Vietnamese laborer allegedly murdered his girlfriend and set fire to his company’s dormitory. Though the suspect has been arrested, the dorm remains damaged from the blaze. Some foreign laborers escaped the fire without taking any belongings and to help them, Tzu Chi volunteers brought boxes of second-hand clothes.

在一月一日，新北市土城區一名越南籍勞工，疑似殺害女友，然後在宿舍縱火，目前嫌犯已經被逮捕到案，但因為火災，宿舍部分毀損，有些外籍勞工倉皇逃出，什麼東西都沒有帶，慈濟志工送來二手衣物。


2. 廣東敬老

On a lighter note, in China, Tzu Chi volunteers are continuing to bring warmth and love, to elderly residents this winter. Volunteers visited Dongguan Zhongtang(東莞中堂) Nursing Home, where they sang for the residents, as well as help them exercise through a series of activities. While in Guangzhou(廣州), volunteers offered free haircuts for seniors, to give everyone a fresh look for the coming Chinese New Year.

輕鬆一點的報導，在中國，廣東慈濟志工定期帶來愛與溫暖拜訪，東莞中堂敬老院的老人家，陪著愛唱歌的爺爺奶奶一起唱歌，也帶動他們做做手指健身操，廣州志工更進一步提供義剪服務，讓長者能夠呈現最好的一面，迎接新年。


3. 上海+昆山+漳州廈門歲末

Tzu Chi volunteers around the globe are holding year-end blessing ceremonies before the Chinese New Year. In China, at Fujian’s Xiamen(廈門) and Zhangzhou(漳州), among the 2,500 residents at the blessing ceremonies, were many Tzu Chi scholarship recipients and their families. In Kunshan(昆山) City, Jiangsu(江蘇) Province, volunteers mindfully decorated the venue and even made 600 chair covers to keep the participants warm throughout the event. And over in Shanghai(上海), at the Tzu Chi Zhangfeng(長風) Liaison Office, one volunteer, Xie Haiying(謝海英), shares her story of the changes she has made since joining Tzu Chi. Let’s take a look.

全球慈濟志工持續在農曆過年前舉辦歲末祝福，在中國福建的廈門與漳州，在2500位民眾當中，包括了許多慈濟助學生及家人，前來參與歲末祝福活動。而在江蘇的崑山，志工們用心的佈置場地，甚至製作600個座墊，讓參與民眾保暖。另外，在上海慈濟長風聯絡處，一位志工謝海英，則分享自己加入慈濟後的改變，讓我們一起來看看。


4. 歲末陳聰烈

In Taiwan, Tzu Chi volunteer, Chen Conglie(陳聰烈), was a gambler and an alcoholic for 40 years. After taking part in a Tzu Chi recycling event, he was able to commit himself to getting rid of his bad habits. Later, he officially joined Tzu Chi, and has been donating the money earned from selling vegetables to Tzu Chi as a gesture of his gratitude.

在台灣，慈濟志工陳聰烈四十年來沉迷於賭博酗酒，直到接觸慈濟環保，才下定決心戒除賭與酒，正式加入慈濟後，更捐出賣菜的收入來回饋。

As Da Ai TV is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, today we take you behind the scenes, to look at the broadcasting and production teams that make up our station’s news program. Da Ai News not only brings international coverage to its viewers, but also offers a diverse range of topics, such as the environment, health and social issues.

Staying on the topic of Da Ai TV, in its 15 years of broadcast, the media station has and continues to inspire people from all walks of life. In our next report, we meet a recycling volunteer, Guo Yongshen(郭永信), who developed bad habits after a failed surgery. Luckily, after tuning into Da Ai TV one day, he decided to change his ways. Now with his new outlook on life, he is safeguarding the planet and devoting himself whole-heartedly to Tzu Chi.

7. 李美瑜看大愛

In Taiwan, Tzu Chi volunteer, Li Meiyu(李美瑜), who have gained wisdom and happiness through Tzu Chi, was not successful at getting her husband to join her. Following the advice of other Tzu Chi brothers and sisters, Li(李) invited her family to watch Da Ai TV. After 2 years of watching Tzu Chi’s program, her husband, moved by the organization’s humanitarian spirit, finally decided to walk the Tzu Chi path.

台灣慈濟志工李美瑜，認識到慈濟對身心靈成長的幫助，想要把先生一起邀來做慈濟，但總找不到好因緣，在法親們的建議下，她邀請全家一起看大愛台，二年下來，先生有所感動，也開始走上慈濟道。

8. 物資送暖助弱勢

Staying in Taiwan, but we move to Hualien, some members of the public, who have witnessed Tzu Chi’s charity work over the years, decided to donate to the Buddhist NGO, in hopes of extending their love to help the underprivileged families. Recently, Tzu Chi volunteers took a group of residents on home visitations, to deliver aid supplies to their care recipients.

也是台灣的報導，不過轉到花蓮。因為信任慈濟，民眾帶著募來的善款給志工，希望慈濟能夠將他們的愛幫助弱勢族群，而慈濟為了讓民眾了解他們善款的用途，志工帶著他們，親自送物資到關懷戶家中。


9. 北卡八分飽

In the United States, North Carolina Tzu Chi volunteers have been cultivating blessings in Raleigh for the past 10 years; every year when they hold Buddha Day celebration or year-end blessing ceremony, a large-scale venue needs to be rented. To provide everyone with a suitable place to hold such events, Tzu Chi volunteer Liu Meifeng(劉美鳳) and her husband Wang Xiongshan(王熊山) offered a workshop on their farmland as the local retreat.

美國北卡羅萊納州的慈濟志工，成立十周年，在當地接引出越來越多人間菩薩，每年有浴佛典禮、祈福感恩會時，就得租借空間大一點的場地，為了讓大家有個方便共修的場所，慈濟志工劉美鳳與先生王熊山將自家農場的工作室免費提供，作為當地慈濟人共修的地方。

1. 瓜國再勘災

In Central America, after Guatemala was struck by a 7.4 magnitude earthquake in November, last year, Tzu Chi organized a series of aid distributions to help over 1,300 families. However, to ensure more people get the help they need, Tzu Chi volunteers once again visited the affected area, to carry out another disaster survey.

中美洲瓜地馬拉2012年11月發生7.4強震，慈濟展開連串發放活動，為1,300多個家庭發放物資，不過為了確保更多人獲得幫助，志工再次回到災區進行勘災。


2. 廈門翔安冬令

Moving to China; on the last day of 2012, Xiamen Tzu Chi volunteers held a winter aid distribution in Xiangan(翔安) District. With more than 600 households to receive the aid supplies, volunteers decided to hold the distribution at the Xinxu (新圩(ㄒㄩ)) Middle School.

轉到中國，2012年的最後一天，廈門慈濟志工在翔安區持續進行冬令發放，由於今年要領取物資的困難家庭有六百戶以上，志工特地選在當地的新圩中學進行。


3. 昆明冬令發放

Staying in China, but moving to Yunan(雲南) Province, Tzu Chi volunteers traveled to Malutang(馬鹿塘) Township of Kunming(昆明) City, to carry out a 2-day aid distribution. As a 3-year drought has made the lives of the residents even more difficult, Tzu Chi volunteers brought aid supplies to help them through the harsh winter.

也是中國的報導，但是轉到雲南省。慈濟志工來到昆明的馬鹿塘鄉，進行二天的冬令發放，馬鹿塘鄉連續三年乾旱，讓鄉親生活更艱辛，慈濟親自把民生用品送來，幫助鄉親們度過嚴冬。


4. 淶源冬令發放

Also helping those in need are 153 Tzu Chi volunteers from Beijing(北京) and Tianjin(天津), who arrived in Laiyuan(淶源) County of Hebei(河北), to hand out relief items to those living in remote areas. Volunteers carried rice, flour, cooking oil and salt on their shoulders, and visited 134 families door to door, bringing them the much needed supplies and emotional support this winter.

153位來自北京與天津的志工來到淶源縣，為住在山區的居民挨家挨戶發放物資，志工們背著大米、麵粉、食用油與鹽巴，拜訪134個家庭，帶來物資與心靈上的鼓勵，讓他們度過溫暖的寒冬。


5. 湖北通城冬令

Another winter aid distribution planned for Tongcheng(通城) County, in Hubei(湖北) Province, was slightly disrupted as heavy snow forced the nearby highway to close, which meant that the 30 Tzu Chi volunteers from Wuhan(武漢) were not able to arrive at the distribution site on time. Thankfully, the 14 volunteers who arrived earlier still managed to work with local officials and volunteers, to complete the aid distribution for 194 impoverished families.

另外還有冬令發放，原訂在湖北通城縣進行的冬令發放，由於大雪，造成高速公路封路，使得三十位武漢志工無法到達發放現場，不過14位先遣志工靠著當地領導和鄉親志工的協助，還是順利完成194戶貧困家庭的發放工作。

6. 大愛志工雲集

As January 1st marks the 15th anniversary of Da Ai TV, @ Tzu Chi volunteers from far and wide all gathered at the Tzu Chi Guandu(關渡) Grounds, in Taipei, to celebrate this milestone. Actors that portrayed real life Tzu Chi volunteers also came to join in the festivities with everyone.

一月一日是大愛電視台15周年的生日，全台各地的慈濟志工 都來到關渡園區一起慶祝，大愛劇場的演員也有參與出席。


7. 大愛十五周年：初衷與困難

15 years ago, when Master Cheng Yen wanted to establish a media station, many were against the idea not only because of the high cost required to run a TV station, but also because they didn’t think it was possible to run one without commercials. Today, Da Ai TV is up and running smoothly, and over the years, has brought a profound and positive influence to its viewers around the globe.

15年前，當證嚴上人要設立電台，許多人一開始並不看好，不只是因為花費相當大，也因為大家認為沒有商業廣告，不可能支撐電台，如今，大愛台的成立，多年來為全球的觀眾帶來了深遠的影響。


8. 15周年看大愛(2)

In Da Ai TV’s 15 years of establishment, apart from thanking the viewers for their support, behind the scenes are recycling volunteers from all around the island, working tirelessly towards funding Tzu Chi’s media station. Many of the recycling volunteers say, they have all changed for the better since watching Da Ai TV, with some having left depression behind, while others have found their way back home.

大愛電視台成立至今15年，除了要感謝許多觀眾的認同，背後還有一群環保菩薩在各地默默付出與支持，許多志工看了大愛台而有所改變，有人甚至找回生命的價值，也有人因此找到回家的路。

Human beings do both good and bad in life. Giving selflessly to help those in need creates innumerable blessings. On the contrary, if one is evil and constantly makes mistakes in life, negative affinity and karma will follow and accumulate through time.

開示：人生在世，一切的造作非功即過。無私地為人群付出，則功德無量；若生存於世，對人群無益，又不斷犯錯造惡，惡因、惡緣、惡果、惡報，必定如影隨形，不斷累積。


9. 馬環保看大愛

Staying on the topic of recycling; in Malaysia, we meet recycling volunteer Zhou Tianshui(周添水), who can be seen at Tzu Chi’s Mohamad Saad Recycling Station in Butterworth, every Monday to Friday. In the past, Zhou would be troubled by the miscellaneous tasks involved in sorting recyclables, but it was her love for Da Ai TV which gradually changed her temperament over time.

也是環保的報導，馬來西亞一位環保志工周添水，每周一到周五總會看到他的身影，穿梭在慈濟莫哈末沙亞環保站，過去曾經因為分類繁雜而起煩惱心，但也因喜愛觀看大愛台，改變了自己的習氣。


10. 印苟杉比環保站

Moving to Indonesia, the Ko-sam-bi Recycling Station in Jakarta, celebrated its 1st birthday on December 25th, 2012. More than 300 Tzu Chi volunteers and local residents came together to celebrate this special occasion.

印尼苟杉比的環保站 ，在12月25日滿一歲生日，300位慈濟志工與社區民眾，共同慶祝這個特別的日子。

1. 仙範火災發放

Today’s first report takes us to the Philippines, where a fire recently broke out in San Juan City, leaving 1,500 families homeless. Upon learning of the disaster, Tzu Chi volunteers rushed to the disaster site, where they carried out a disaster survey and aid distribution.

首先，來看菲律賓，在仙範市，因為一場大火，一千五百戶居民無家可歸，慈濟人得知訊息，很快展開勘災發放。


2. 廈門發放

Moving to China, Xiamen Tzu Chi volunteers carried out winter relief distributions, on the last two days of 2012. This year, many care recipients and scholarship aid students seized the opportunity to serve local residents, hoping to share the joy of helping others to more people.

轉到中國，廈門慈濟志工在2012年結束前二天，今年也有很多曾經受助的照顧戶和助學金的學生，前來服務鄉親，希望能把助人的喜悅分享給更多人。


3. 廈門冬令回訪

After the winter aid distributions in Xiamen, China, came to an end, Tzu Chi volunteers went door to door to visit those families who weren’t able to attend the distribution, in the Siming(思明) District, bringing relief items and emotional support to their doorstep.

在中國廈門冬令發放之後，有許多行動不便的鄉親，慈濟志工親自拜訪，無法前來領取物資的鄉親，像是在廈門市思明區，志工就將物資送到鄉親家中，並關懷他們的居家生活狀況。

4. 大愛十五周年

As a part of our celebration for the 15th anniversary of Da Ai TV, we look back on the history of Tzu Chi’s media work. From December 1st, 1995, with the cable broadcast of ＂Tzu Chi World＂ on channel UTV, to the establishment of Da Ai TV in 1998, and the switching to HD quality broadcasting in January 1st, 2012, Da Ai TV has continued to change and expand, but their message to purify hearts has stayed the same. Let’s take a look.

大愛台慶祝15周年，我們帶大家回顧大愛台的演進史。1995年12月1日，慈濟世界節目在當時的力霸友聯頻道播出，直到1998年，大愛電視台正式成立，2012年1月1日，更率先走入HD高畫質節目，大愛電視繼續進步跟擴大，而傳遞清流的理念依然沒變。


5. 十五周年看大愛

Next, we meet Tzu Chi volunteer, Lin Huiyuan in Taichung, who decided to join the Buddhist NGO after the 9/21 Earthquake, in 1999, and as a loyal audience of Da Ai TV, his life has since changed dramatically. Here’s more.

接著來認識一位住在台中的慈濟志工林惠遠，從1999年九二一地震那年開始，成為大愛台忠實觀眾，讓他完全改變，一起來看看。

On the path to cultivation, the real challenge is not that dharma is difficult to absorb, but to get rid of the negative thoughts and bad habits we have built up over the years. To return our minds to a state of purity, we need to constantly get rid of our past behaviors.

6. 360鑄字行

In the final series of our feature reports, on Taiwan’s sunset industries, we meet Zhang Jieguan(張介冠), the owner of Rixing(日星) Typo-graphy, who produces the letter molds to print books and newspapers, the traditional way.

在真情臉譜的最後一集報導，我們來認識張介冠，日星鑄字行的老闆，還用傳統活版印刷印刷書本雜誌報紙等。


7. 加蔬食推廣併

In Canada, one Tzu Chi volunteer, Liang Yuyan(梁玉燕), invited her fellow volunteers and members to her house in Vancouver, to share the benefits of vegetarianism. And at the Tzu Chi Mis-sis-sau-ga Academy, students was given the task of preparing vegetarian dishes.

在加拿大，慈濟志工梁玉燕邀請會員來到家中，推廣茹素的好處。而在密西沙加人文學校，每一班都要準備一道素料理。

1. 廈門發放 First distribution in Xiamen

Welcome to the first show of the year 20-13. As the winter relief distribution kicks off in Fujian (福建) China, the former deputy mayor of Xiamen (廈門), Pan Shijian (潘世建), set aside time from his busy schedule to attend the winter relief distribution ceremony. Although a devout Christian, he was impressed and moved by Tzu Chi`s philosophy of Great Love and humanitarian spirit and has spread this philosophy among his friends and family.

首先來看2013年的報導，中國福建發放第一天，廈門的前副市長潘世建百忙抽空參與發放儀式，雖然他是虔誠基督徒，不過，認同慈濟大愛也被慈濟的人文精神所感動，也將慈濟理念向周遭親友宣導。


2. 漳州冬令發放 Zhangzhou aid distribution

Continuing in Fujian(福建) Province. In Zhangzhou(漳州), 200 Tzu Chi volunteers were helping out at a winter aid distribution for 3,400 residents. Inspired by Tzu Chi`s kindness, many of the local residents drove their own car to help transport the relief items door to door. Even a successful entrepreneur also came to help out.

在福建漳州，兩百位志工為三千四百位鄉親展開冬令發放，受到慈濟的善行感動，有許多當地鄉親主動開車來幫忙鄉親載物資回家，甚至還有實業家幫忙扛大米，一起來看看。


3. 廣東冬令物資 Winter aid helps residents

Staying in China, but moving to Guangdong Province, Tzu Chi volunteers continue to hold their series of winter aid distributions, this time in Shaoguan(韶關). Volunteers not only provided ginger tea to warm bodies, but also helped carry aid supplies for local residents as it was raining on the day of the distribution.

來到中國廣東，慈濟志工繼續發放冬令物資，這次來到廣東韶關，發放這天下雨，慈濟志工不僅煮了薑湯讓民眾暖和身體，還幫民眾把物資搬運到車上。


4. 和平助學家訪 Financial assistance for families

Also in Guangdong Province, in providing financial assistance to families, Tzu Chi volunteers visited schools in Heping(和平) Township. Volunteers not only provide financial aid to lessen the burden on families, but also offered guidance to students, as some live away from their parents for most of the year.

也是在廣東省發放助學金的報導，慈濟志工在東莞的和平縣發放助學金給學生們，因為有很多學生長年不與家長住一起，志工不但給孩子們就學的協助，也帶來一堂生命教育課程。


5. 全球慈青圓緣 Tzu Ching, a stream of purity

As this year marks the 20th anniversary of Tzu Chi Collegiate Youth Association, at the Global Tzu Ching Day, nearly 1,000 youth volunteers from around the globe returned to Taiwan, to take part in the training seminar. Overseas Tzu Chings from some 7 countries even put on a section of the sign language performance of “Vow in Action”, to demonstrate their determination in spreading Tzu Chi`s Seeds of Love back home.

慶祝慈青二十周年，今年全球慈青日來自全球將近一千位慈青菩薩來到花蓮參加營隊，當中海外歸來的家人們更是要演出行願，展現散播慈濟種子的堅定心。

6. 台北歲末併 & 海歲末祝福 Year-end blessings & First time owners

Moving to China, in Shanghai, the year-end blessing ceremonies there took place over 3 days. For many volunteers, it was their first time organizing such a large-scale event, thus Tzu Chi volunteers from Taiwan traveled to China to pass on their knowledge and expertise. And in Taiwan, kindergarten and Cardinal Tien College students celebrated their year-end in a meaningful way, by donating money to help those in need.

來看在中國上海，連續三天舉辦歲末祝福，對許多志工來說是第一次承擔、舉辦這樣大型的活動，所以台灣真善美團隊特地去上海幫忙，而在台灣，耕莘健康管理專科學校學生則以捐錢行善，來慶祝他們的歲末活動。


7. 美歲末感恩 Celebrating the year-end
Moving to the United States, at their regular weekly distribution, US Tzu Chi volunteers in Phoenix, Arizona, handed out the usual food supplies to those in need, and also included daily necessities, as well as coupons to help under-privileged families celebrate the holidays. While Tzu Chi US Headquarters in San Dimas, California organized a banquet to thank the volunteers and medical staff for their endless devotion.

鏡頭轉到美國，來看定期發放的活動報導，美國鳳凰城慈濟志工發放食物給貧困的人，還準備了日用品和禮券，而在慈濟美國總會，現場還準備餐點，感謝志工醫護人員這一年的付出。

8. 新加坡新芽(3) New Shoots Scholarship

Tzu Chi Singapore Chapter has been handing out New Shoots Scholarships to hard working students from economically disadvantaged families for five years now. The program, which originally partnered with 28 local schools, is now working with over 80 schools across the country. In total, 11,168 students have received scholarships and that number keeps growing. Recently at a 2-day scholarship award ceremony, around 2000 students received the economic lifeline that will allow them to continue their education and thus take the first step in leaving poverty behind.

慈濟新加坡分會頒發新芽助學金，獎勵向上讀書的弱勢學生至今已經已五年了 ，這個計畫從最初的28所學校已經涵蓋到現今的80多所學校，這些年共嘉惠了11,168位學生，而每年人數一直增長，在最近的兩天頒獎典禮上 ，將近兩千位學子得到了幫助 ，讓這群學子能夠繼續求學，從貧困中踏出第一步。

9. 馬照顧戶環保 Care recipient devoted to recycling

In another part of Asia, Tzu Chi volunteer, Zhuang Zhenhua(莊振華),from Butterworth, Malaysia, was once a Tzu Chi care recipient. In 2008, Zhuang`s (莊)wife suffered from kidney disease and required dialysis, yet the couple could not afford the medical fees. Thankfully, Tzu Chi provided them with subsidies for over 2 years. As the financial condition of Zhuang`s(莊) family improved, he voluntarily stopped taking the funds and decided to devoted himself to recycling and helping people in greater need.

在亞洲的另一個國家，在馬來西亞北海慈濟志工莊振華，曾是慈濟照顧戶，2008年妻子因為腎病必須洗腎，但他們夫妻倆負擔不起醫藥費，幸好有慈濟兩年多來的補助，經濟穩定後，他主動停止補助還跟著慈濟一起付出。


10. 茶道弘人文 Tea ceremony brings peace

Tzu Chi volunteers in Taiwan, held a Jing Si tea class at the Tainan Jing Si Hall. This particular session was infused with the theme of tea for four seasons. The ceremony not only brought new participants to absorb dharma, but wisdom was reinforced for returning participants as well.

台灣慈濟志工，在台南靜思堂開辦的「靜思茶道」課程，一直廣受好評，讓學員親自體驗生活佛法外，也智慧滿滿。
