●Coming up in the show today, Jordan Tzu Chi volunteers, are distributing food supplies, to 900 refugee families near the border of Jordan and Syria.

●In Taiwan, Hualien(花蓮) Tzu Chi Hospital, recently set up a pal-li-a-tive care program, to provide timely medical assistances to home care patients.

●With the ever increasing disputes, found in the food, we consume nowadays, we investigate the regulations in place , regarding food safety.

1.敘難民發放 Aid distribution for refugees

As the conflict in Syria continues, the love Jordan Tzu Chi volunteers have shown refugees has not ceased. Following their winter clothing distribution in January, volunteers recently headed to Sa-hel Ho-ran, near the border of Jordan and Syria, to distribute food supplies to 900 households.

敘利亞的內戰持續，約旦慈濟志工，對敘利亞難民的關懷，也沒有間斷，繼一月的冬衣發放後，三月志工再度前往，約旦和敘利亞邊境的薩赫勒霍蘭，發放民生食品，總計有九百戶難民，拿到愛心物資。


2.緬甸訪貧農 Bringing hope to farmers

Next in Mynmar, we follow the story of U Thar Myint. Each month, Tzu Chi delivers a 50 kilogram bag of rice to help the family, and the timely help, has inspired U Thar Myint to save a handful of rice daily for others in need, and he hopes that his grandson will grow up to help those in need as well.

在緬甸，今天的報導是關於，農民烏達密的故事。慈濟每個月補助五十公斤白米，這樣及時的援助，啟發烏達密每天存一把米助人，烏達密也期望小外孫長大後，能像慈濟幫助別人。


3.南投慈濟送書 Book donation in Nantou County

To enrich the spiritual wellbeing of students, Tzu Chi volunteers from Nantun District in Taichung City visited schools in Nantou(南投) County`s Renai(仁愛) and Sinyi(信義) Townships, to donate children`s books published by Tzu Chi. Here`s more.

豐富孩子們的心靈生活，台中市南屯區的慈濟志工，前往南投的仁愛鄉，以及信義鄉的國小，致贈孩子們慈濟叢書。

4.安寧療護啟動 Program for home care patients

In Taiwan, Hualien(花蓮) Tzu Chi Hospital, recently established one of the first pal-li-a-tive care programs on the East Coast. The purpose of the program, is to provide home care patients, with timely medical assistance, through the use of computer monitoring.

台灣花蓮慈濟醫院，最近在東部啟動，首次心蓮安寧療護計畫，這個計畫的重點，是希望透過雲端科技，給予在家的病患，更多即時的幫助。


5.陳伊瑩捐病理 Tzu Chi volunteer, Chen Yiying

Chen Yiying(陳伊瑩) first joined Tzu Chi as a Tzu Ching during her university days and devoted herself to local volunteer work. Yet, tragically, Chen was later diagnosed with leukemia. After a long fight with her illness, she closed the final chapter of her life on March 30th. On April 1st, Chen`s family fulfilled her lifetime wish and donated her body to medical science.

從大學時代就參與慈青的陳伊瑩，致力於當地志工活動，然而生命無常，陳伊瑩得了白血病，雖然經過骨髓移植，生命依舊在，3月30號畫下句點，而在4月1號，家人也圓滿她生前的願望，將大體捐出，作為病理解剖。


6.惟孝劉亭毅 Filial child, Liu Tingyi

In our next report, we meet a sixth grader at the Tzu Chi Elementary School in Hualien(花蓮) County. Liu Tingyi(劉亭毅) was once a mis-chi-evous student at school; however, following the cultivation he received in school, Liu(劉) gradually has changed for the better.

接下來的報導中，來到花蓮看看一位慈小六年級生，劉亭毅曾經是個調皮的孩子，然而在慈濟小學的教化下，調皮的行為逐漸改善。


《 衲履足跡 》談報真導正 On the Media

In addition to reporting what is true, the media should also cover the goodness that exists in and between people. Nowadays, the reach of the media is long. Used for good, it is a powerful tool that can assist both individuals and society as a whole. I hope that everyone in this field can work towards this goal together.

要報導真實的事，而且所報導的都是溫馨的人間善事；現代的媒體有高科技助長傳播力量，若能運用於善的方向，即能救社會、救人心。期待媒體工作者有志一同，朝正向堅定前行。


7.食字路口(1) Rising concerns for food safety

According to government estimates, Taiwan has some 5,000 registered manufacturers, and among them, only 10 percent pass GMP, Good Manufacturing Practices standards. Beginning today, we will look into the food safety issue, and learn how consumers can guard against what they eat.

根據統計，台灣有登記的食品，製造廠家約有五千多家，當中有GMP的則，大約只有十分之一，從今天開始，我們帶您來探討食物安全，並了解消費者要如何，替自己吃的食物把關。


8.菲烘焙展推素 Tzu Chi attends 2013 Bakery Fair

The Philippines Jing Si Books and Cafe, at the request of the Filipino-Chinese Bakery Association, attended a bakery fair in Pasay City. During the three-day fair, volunteers introduced Tzu Chi`s food products as a way to promote vegetarianism to the general public.

菲律賓靜思書軒，應菲華麵包公會邀請，參與今年在巴賽市舉辦的烘焙展，志工在展期的三天中，除了向民眾介紹靜思食品，也向民眾推廣素食。


9.(時光機)許芯瑋創意教學 Be the change you wish to see

In our next report, we meet 25-year-old Xu Xinwei(許芯瑋).Despite being an English graduate of the National Taiwan Normal University, Xu(許) gave up her traditional teaching career, to guide the children of Taiwan, using a new global educational teaching program, that asks children to be the change they wish to see.

我們接下來的報導，帶您看的是25歲的許芯瑋，雖然是師大英語系畢業，但她放棄了教師資格，投入台灣兒童創意教學，她希望引導孩子們，學習獨立思考，實踐自己夢想。
