Welcome to Da Ai Headlines. I ’m Helen Liao. Thank you for joining us. Coming up in the show today, the sutra performances put on by teachers and students, of Tzu Chi ’s Education Mission in Hualien(花蓮), came to a perfect end on March 30th. 213 Tzu Chi volunteers and trainee volunteers from south China, arrive in Taiwan, to gain a better understanding of Tzu Chi ’s environmental concepts. And, we meet 28-year-old pastry chef, Zheng Yijia(鄭易嘉), who in spite of his hearing impairment, continues to pursue his dreams.

1. 父母恩首場

In the first segment of our program today, we look at the sign language performances held over last weekend, March 30th, in Hualien(花蓮), Taiwan, where 1,600 teachers and students of Tzu Chi ’s Education Mission came together, to put on a musical adaptation of the Sutra of Profound Gratitude to Parents. The three performances on the day, inspired both the performers and their audience alike of the importance of cherishing filial piety.

今天節目的一開始，我們來看看於上周末三月三十日在花蓮舉辦的音樂手語劇，有一千六百位花蓮慈濟教育志業體師生，一起演出父母恩重難報經，在當天的三場表演，啟發了表演者以及所有的觀眾即時行孝的重要，讓我們一起來看看。


2. 父母恩第二場

The second session of the musical rendition of the Sutra of Profound Gratitude to Parents performed last weekend at the Hualien Jing Si Hall, was opened to members of the public in the region. Among the attendees, is Hualien County mayor, Fu Kunqi(傅昆萁) and his parents, as well as Lin Ciling(林慈玲), the deputy minister of Taiwan ’s Ministry of Interior.

父母恩重難報經的演繹，第二場邀請花蓮當地民眾一同走入靜思堂感受，觀眾當中，還有花蓮縣長傅崐萁先生以及他的家人，以及台灣內政部常務次長林慈玲。


3. 父母恩第三場

The final session of the musical adaptation of the Sutra of Profound Gratitude to Parents, like the previous two performances, took local residents in Hualien by storm. The musical with a combination of sign language, drama, songs and video clips, wasn ’t just a show of any kind, but one with Tzu Chi ’s humanitarian spirit, and the message of filial piety and gratitude.

最後一場的父母恩重難報經，如同前面兩場，獲得了花蓮民眾的好評。音樂手語劇包含了手語 歌曲、戲劇，以及影片，並不是一般的表演，而是涵蓋了慈濟的人文精神，以及孝順與感恩的理念。


4. 父母恩冉少文

The sign language musical of the Sutra of Profound Gratitude to Parents, which successfully concluded last weekend, saw a majority of the teachers and students of Tzu Chi`s Education Mission in Hualien take part. As members of the cast, Ran Shaowen (冉少文) and Lin Shenghan (林聖翰), both students of the Tzu Chi College of Technology, became determined to improve their behavior and learn to look to their parents, with an appreciative heart.

在這次父母恩重難報經的演繹中，花蓮教育志業體的師生幾乎全體總動員，其中慈濟技術學院的學生，冉少文和林聖翰，在演繹的過程中，決定要重新學習，用轉念和感恩的心來和父母相處。

5. 華南志工返台

At the end of March, 213 Tzu Chi volunteers and trainee volunteers from south China, arrived in Taiwan, to attend a volunteer training seminar. This time, the classes focused on environmentalism; therefore, volunteers also visited the Neihu(內湖) Recycling Station, to gained a better understanding on how to sort recyclables.

上個月底，213位大陸華南地區慈濟志工與見習志工，來到台灣進行精進研習課程，其中環保是這次研習的重點，因此他們也來到內湖環保站，來更加了解如何做分類 。


6. 慈青訪視浴佛

On March 24th, Tzu Chings from Zhunan(竹南), Taiwan headed with Tzu Chi volunteers, to visit nearby care recipients. During their visit, Tzu Chings saw first hand, what it means to live in poverty, and the trials that every day bring, for the elderly and sick. At the end of the day, Tzu Chings went home wiser, more compassionate, and more grateful for the blessings, they have in their lives.

在3月24號，竹南慈青同學跟著慈濟志工探訪照顧戶，這次的探訪讓他們看見貧困，以及獨居長者的孤苦無依，結束一天的探訪，慈青變得更有智慧，更有同情心，更懂得珍惜。


《 衲履足跡 》

On Faith

Everyone needs a true faith, one that keeps them firmly on the path of humanitarian values. A true and correct faith will lead its adherents in the right direction; organizations and meetings that embrace such a faith can purify the space between people and create harmony between the natural environment and ourselves.

主題：談信仰

開示： 人人都要有正確的信仰，而且不能偏離人道精神的軌道。正信的宗教都能引導正確的人生方向，好的團體、好人會合，都能淨化人間，使人心與自然環境健康平安。


7. 聽障烘焙師

In our next report, we meet 28-year-old, Zheng Yijia(鄭易嘉), a deaf pastry chef. Over the course of his life, Zheng has encountered many set-backs, as a result of his disability, but with his parents by his side, Zheng(鄭) still managed to open his own bakery, and won many awards both at home and abroad. Today, Zheng(鄭) continues to pursue his dream of providng career opportunities in his bakery, to those sharing the same fate as him.

我們接下來的報導，帶您認識一位28歲的聽障烘焙師傅鄭易嘉。因為聽障，使得鄭易嘉生活上遇到許多問題，好在有父母在背後支持他，鄭易嘉開了自己的蛋糕店，並獲得國內外許多獎項，如今，他持續自己的夢想，提供工作機會給與自己一樣的人。


8. 惟孝孫美琪

Next, we meet Guanshan(關山) Tzu Chi Hospital nurse Sun Meiqi(孫美琪), who is always bringing warmth and happiness to seniors around her. Meiqi(美琪) ’s father passed away from cancer, and the tragedy made her realize the importance of, cherishing every moment with the elderly. Furthermore, in spite of her long working hours, Sun(孫) insists on cooking dinner each night, for her grandmother-in-law, as a way to show her love and care.

接下來，我們來認識時常帶給病患溫暖和快樂的關山慈院護理師孫美琪。美琪的父親因癌症過世，這遺憾讓她了解，珍惜和長輩相處的時光，不僅如此，雖然工作時間很長，她還是堅持每晚煮飯給夫家的阿嬤吃，來表達她的愛與關懷。


9. 馬癌友安心

Moving to Malaysia, we meet a husband-and-wife pair of Tzu Chi volunteers, Chen Weiping(陳維平) and Lin Meilian(林美蓮). The couple has been caring for Yu Guang(余光), since he was diagnosed with cancer. As Yu(余) worried that no one would be able, to care for his children, he insisted on staying at home, which worsened his condition. Luckily, Chen and his wife showed up in time, and took the family under their wing.

將鏡頭轉到馬來西亞，認識慈濟夫妻檔陳維平和林美蓮，這對夫妻檔長期以來照顧癌症病患余光。余光擔心沒有人可以照顧孩子，因此堅持留在家中，病情也因此惡化，幸好陳維平和太太伸出援手，照顧這一家人。

We go back to Taiwan at the end of the show, Penghu(澎湖) Tzu Chi volunteers recently arrived at a local nursing home, to care for the senior residents there.
