Coming up in today`s show, in China`s Jiangsu(江蘇) Province, we join the preparation work of the opening of the Tzu Chi Suzhou Grounds and Health Promotion Center.

In Taiwan, teachers and students of Tzu Chi`s Education Mission in Hualien, are practicing hard for the upcoming musical this weekend.

And, members of the Tzu Chi Teachers Association, are traveling to different areas of Taiwan and China, to share their teaching experiences.

1.蘇揭牌準備Preparing for grand opening

First up in China`s Jiangsu(江蘇) Province, the grand opening of the Suzhou(蘇州) Tzu Chi Grounds and Tzu Chi Suzhou Health Promotion Center took place yesterday, on March 27th. With much to be done before the celebration, Suzhou Tzu Chi volunteers and their counterparts from Taiwan, as well as the Da Ai TV crew, all gathered for the final preparation work.

首先來看中國蘇州，慈濟志業園區的啟用典禮，以及蘇州慈濟健康促進中心，在三月二十七號舉辦啟用典禮，在典禮前，很多瑣事要做，台灣的數百名志工、大愛台同仁，和大陸蘇北地區志工，都來到園區全心投入一起準備。


2.慈濟蘇州因緣Tzu Chi`s 20 years of charity work

Tzu Chi`s work in China dates back to some 20 years ago, when the 1991 Eastern China floods left hundreds dead, and tens of thousands homeless. Against all olds, Tzu Chi carried out a series of relief work to help the flood victims. Since then, the Buddhist NGO continued its charity work to help the needy in all areas of the nation. This year, with the opening of the Tzu Chi Suzhou(蘇州) Grounds and Health Promotion Center, volunteers all vowed to continue spreading Great Love and safeguarding the health of all residents.

慈濟在大陸的發展，已有20多年的歷史，1991年華東水患造成上百人往生，以及上萬人無家可歸，即便反對聲音不斷，慈濟展開一連串的賑災工作協助災民，從此，慈濟持續協助在中國各個鄉鎮，展開慈善工作 ，如今，慈濟蘇州志業園區以及健檢促進中心的啟用，志工們更發願持續散撥愛的種子 ，並守護鄉親們的健康。


3.父母恩中年級Sutra perfomance on March 30th

In Taiwan, teachers and students from Tzu Chi`s Education Mission in Hualien, will be putting on a sign language musical of the Sutra of Profound Gratitude to Parents on March 30th. As the musical is just some 48 hours away, Tzu Chi Elementary School students are seizing every opportunity to practice their movements.

在台灣花蓮，慈濟教育志業體演繹的父母恩重難報經，即將在3月30日公演，眼看表演即將到來，花蓮慈濟小學的小朋友利用機會加緊練習。


4.惟孝余品宏How to be a filial child?

As a homeroom teacher at the Experimental Elementary School of Tzu Chi University in Hualien, Taiwan, Yu Pinhong(余品宏) says, he realized what it means to be a good and filial son, only after becoming a father himself. This was part of his decision to give up his teaching job in North Taiwan and move back to Hualien. As well, to help his own students at school realize the importance of keeping family bonds tight, Yu(余) designed a ”Filial Deposit Passbook” to encourage students, to express their appreciation and love to their parents on a daily basis.

對花蓮慈小導師余品宏來說，已為人父的他，有了孩子，才了解作為孝子的意義為何，也讓他決定來到花蓮任教，為了讓慈小孩子也能了解孝道的重要性，他開始推動「孝親存款簿」，鼓勵孩子每天表達對父母的愛。


5.海地台商參訪Visiting school building site

Following a devastating earthquake in Haiti in 2010, Tzu Chi volunteers established a school rebuilding project for the Congregation of the Sisters of Saint Anne. Taking the opportunity of a business trip to Haiti, some 20 Taiwanese businessmen from the United States, visited the construction site, and were all deeply moved to see the building as they have previously made donations to Tzu Chi for the project.

2010年海地強震後，慈濟展開學校援建計畫，為聖恩修女會援建三所學校，利用來海地出差的機會，來自邁阿密約二十人的台商團，特地來了解慈濟的希望工程，有些人就說他們特別感動，因為他們當時也捐款給慈濟。


6.上海教師聯誼+竹東教師研習TCTA educates fellow teachers

Members of the Tzu Chi Teachers Association are currently traveling to different schools in Taiwan and China, to share with other teachers on how to best incorporate Jing Si Aphorisms into their curriculum. However, we first tag along with a group of these volunteers who traveled to Shanghai, where they shared with local teachers how using love can close the gap between students and teachers.

慈濟教師會，特地來到不同學校，教老師們怎麼樣把靜思與融入教學，但是首先我們先跟一群教師會友們，到上海的教師聯誼活動，看他們 分享教學經驗，要怎麼用愛拉近與學生的距離。


7.馬幼兒環保Teaching children to do recycling

Moving to Malaysia, to raise children`s awareness on environmentalism, teachers from the Penang Tzu Chi Kindergarten asked tehir students to bring newspapers and plastic bottles from home every Friday morning, to teach them how to sort recyclables.

在馬來西亞，為了提升小孩的環保意識，檳城慈濟幼兒園，每周五讓小朋友把家裡的報紙、寶特瓶帶到學校，老師在旁教導如何分類。


8.馬腎友回饋Dialysis patient reciprocating

Staying in Malaysia, we meet hepatitis C sufferer, Wu Yude(吳裕德), whose dialysis expenses are much higher than ordinary dialysis patients. Just as he was about to give up on life, Tzu Chi showed up to help sub-si-dize his medical fees. To express his gratitude to the organization, Wu(吳) not only took part in the fundraising campaign for the new dialysis center in Malaysia, and also joined his wife in attending Tzu Chi`s events.

在馬來西亞，患有腎病的吳裕德，因為洗腎費用較一般洗腎病患要來得貴，他一度想要放棄自己，幸好有慈濟補助醫藥費，吳裕德因此轉為感恩，不但為馬來西亞洗腎中心募款，也和太太一起參與慈濟活動。


9.印志工張佩玲Tzu Chi volunteer, Thio Pei Ling

A rice distribution in Indonesia`s Bandung in 2003, is when the-now Tzu Chi volunteer Thio Pei Ling, first met the Buddhist NGO. The volunteer had always wanted to join the organization, as she identifies with its philosophy, but never had the opportunity to do so until 2003. Today, as a grandmother of six, Pei Ling says, as long as she is health, she will continue to serve her community.

在2003年，印尼萬隆的一場大米發放，促成了張佩玲和慈濟的因緣，張佩玲一直很認同慈濟理念，非常想加入付出，直到2003年才有機會，也已經是六位孫子的奶奶了，張佩玲說只要身體健康，就要繼續幫助社會。
