Coming up in today`s top stories, Brazil Tzu Chi volunteers and TIMA medical staff are tending to the survivors of the recent flooding in Sao Paulo.

In Taiwan`s Changhua(彰化), a group of faucet factory owners, are forming an alliance to introduce its high quality products to the world.

And, we see how consumers nowadays are protected against fraud, by a newly introduced personal data protection law.

1.巴西義診賑災Tending to flood victims


We kick off today`s program in Brazil; where monsoon season usually begins in February, and the heavy downpour caused flooding in many areas of Sao Paulo. A mudslide also occurred in Cubatao City, destroying more than 10 homes. Upon learning of the news, Tzu Chi volunteers arrived for a disaster survey and later carried out an aid distribution, as well as free clinic to help the flood victims.


節目開始來到巴西，二月是巴西的雨季，聖保羅市南部豪雨成災，在古巴東市發生嚴重的土石流災害，有數十棟民宅倒塌，慈濟志工前往勘災，決定發放物資，同時進行義診 。


2.勤益慈青有愛Tzu Chings watch Wisdom at Dawn

Since 2009, Tzu Chings from Central Taiwan have been promoting a ”Watching Wisdom at Dawn” initiative, which has received enthusiastic response from Tzu Chings worldwide. Wu Weiqing (吳韋慶), a student at the National Chin-Yi(勤益) University of Technology, not only watches Master Cheng Yen`s ”Wisdom at Dawn” program each day, but also shares his thoughts and Jing Si Aphorisms on the classroom blackboard.

2009年九月，中區慈青同學發起晨鐘起‧薰法香活動，全球慈青也一同熱烈響應，勤益科技大學的學生吳韋慶，不但自己每天聆聽上人的靜思晨語，還把心得和靜思語抄錄在校園教室黑板上。


3.警專慈青訪老+亞東慈青反毒Tzu Chings on the go

Tzu Chings at the Oriental Institute of Technology recently organized their first seminar at school, to promote a campaign against drug use. Tzu Chi volunteer Cai Tiansheng(蔡天勝) and Lin Chaoqing(林朝清), both former drug addicts, were invited to share their stories. Meanwhile, Tzu Chings from the Taiwan Police College arrived at a nursing home in Taipei`s Wenshan(文山) District, to bring joy and happiness to senior residents.

亞東技術學院慈青社，這學期舉辦第一次的講座活動，以反毒為主題，邀請慈濟志工蔡天勝和林朝清，他們都曾是吸毒者，分享過來人的經驗，另外，在警專的慈青，則前往台北文山區的景安老人養護所，為長者帶來歡樂。


4.MIT藍海策略(4)Homeland of faucet parts

Continuing on our feature reports on products made in Taiwan, we go to Dingfanpo(頂番婆) in Chuanghua(彰化) County, which produces over 80 percent of Taiwan`s water tap parts. Facing a labor shortage and cheap imports from China, a group of factory owners decided to form an alliance, as they strive to bring Taiwan`s high quality faucet parts, into the global market.

持續今天的專題，關於台灣製造的產品，我們來到彰化頂番婆社區，這個地方製造出台灣大約八成的水龍頭零件，面對中國低價零件的進口壓力，一群工廠老闆決定要組成聯盟，希望把台灣高品質零件推上國際舞台。


5.感恩首入企業Joining forces to spread recycling concepts

Moving to Kaohsiung, a local company dedicated to designing and manufacturing recycling equipment often receives visitors from abroad. The owner, Lin Wenzhang (林文章), who is also a Tzu Chi volunteer, shares the same passion for eco-friendly products, and has therefore agreed to showcase DA.AI Technology products in his company.

轉到台灣高雄，一家環保設備公司，平常就有很多境外觀光團前往參訪，董事長林文章自己本身是慈濟人，因為認同寶特瓶回收製成衣服，於是答應將公司的展示廳用來展示環保紡織衣。


6.廈門社區環保Easy to establish a recycling point

In China, Xiamen(廈門) Tzu Chi volunteers, have been promoting recycling at the Siming(思明) Retreat since 2009. One recycling volunteer, Zhong Qinzhu(鐘琴珠), established a recycling point at a garage in her community last year, and called on a group of residents to join her. Let`s take a look.

為了推廣環保，慈濟志工從2009年開始，在廈門思明共修處推動回收工作，其中一位居民鐘琴珠，就在社區的車庫成立環保點，同時也號召了一批志工來做回收，一起來看看。


7.0323守住隱私We have the right to say no!

Over the last decade, Taiwan has been a hotbed of fraud, in which people`s mutual trust has been chipped away. Thankfully, following the implementation of the new Personal Information Protection Act, we now have the right to ask those who call to sell products or services, to delete our personal information, or they may face lawsuit.

過去十多年來，台灣詐騙風氣盛行，導致社會信任感降低，而在個資法上路以後，你有權利要求對方刪除你的個資，否則他們要面對相關訴訟。


8.吉打人文開課First day of school

In Malaysia, the Kedah Tzu Chi Academy`s new term saw 50 students signing up. On the first day of school, parents of first timers were allowed to attend the class with their children. At every activity, not only did the children learn much about Tzu Chi`s humanitarian ideals, but parents also gained wisdom as well.

在馬來西亞，吉打人文學校開課了，新學期有五十位小朋友註冊，第一堂課特別讓家長陪伴孩子一起上課，活動中，不只是學童學習慈濟人文精神，家長也滿載而歸。


9.馬幼兒敬老1900Children showing love to elderly

Staying in Malaysia, to inspire children to carry out their filial duties, teachers of the Tzu Chi Kindergarten in Ni-bong Te-bal, took their students on a visit to the local nursing home. The youngsters not only put on a sign language performance but also applied lotion for the seniors.

也是馬來西亞的報導，為了啟發小朋友孝親敬老的精神，馬來西亞「高淵慈濟幼兒園」，老師帶領學生前往老人院送愛，小朋友用心呈現手語，也為爺爺奶奶塗上護膚霜。

We go to China at the end of today`s program, in Shanghai, Tzu Chi volunteers arrived at the Yangpu(楊浦) Nursing Home for their regular visit.
