Coming up in the show today, Fujian(福建) Tzu Chi volunteers in China, are handing out scholarships to needy students in Xiamen(廈門) and Nanjing(南靖).

Tzu Chi Foundation is holding a media conference, to promote the upcoming sign language musical, to members of the public.

And, Taiwan Tzu Chi volunteers and Tzu Chings, are holding events in schools, to remind everyone of the importance of safeguarding our planet.

1.印尼精進圓緣500 volunteers gain wisdom

In Indonesia, a Tzu Chi volunteers intensive training seminar, was held from March 22nd to 24th. Nearly 500 volunteers from 15 different areas of the country, gathered at the Jing Si Hall in North Jakarta, to take part. After the 3-day seminar, everyone went home wiser, and inspired to spread Tzu Chi`s message to more people.

印尼分會從3月22到24日，舉辦四合一幹部精進研習營，近五百位來自十五個城市的志工，聚集在北雅加達的靜思堂，經過三天的課程洗禮後，大家對慈濟都有更進一步的認識。


2.福建助學頒發Scholarship for needy students

In China, Fujian(福建) Tzu Chi volunteers traveled to Xiamen(廈門) and Nanjing(南靖) to hand out scholarships to underprivileged students. At these visits, volunteers not only distributed much needed tuition help, but also shared words of wisdom with these youngsters, in hopes of guiding them on the right path in life.

在中國，福建慈濟志工前往廈門以及南靖，頒發助學金給需要的學生，在這活動中，這些志工們不只送上需要的助學金，也分享靜思語的智慧，希望鼓勵並且引導學生走在人生正確的道路上 。


3.義大利家訪Visiting last year`s quake survivors

In May of 2012, two earthquakes with a magnitude of 6.0 and 5.8 hit Italy. Since then, Tzu Chi volunteers have carried out two relief distributions, to help those affected by the quakes. Recently, volunteers once again carried out home visitations to see how residents are recovering.

2012年五月底，義大利接連發生規模6.0及5.8強震，慈濟志工從去年到現在，進行兩個梯次的發放，協助受災鄉親，這次志工展開家訪，了解居民的生活狀況。

4.父母恩媒體合作Promoting upcoming musical

In Taiwan, teachers and students from Tzu Chi`s Education Mission in Hualien, will be putting on a sign language musical, of the Sutra of, Profound Gratitude to Parents on March 30th. On Monday, the Tzu Chi Foundation held a media conference, to promote the upcoming performance to members of the public.

在台灣，花蓮教育志業體的師生，將在三月三十日表演音樂手語劇－父母恩重難報經，而這星期一 ，慈濟基金會透過記者會，希望宣傳這次的活動。


5.惟孝幸福總論A core of Chinese value - Filial Piety

In our new series of reports on filial piety, we look at the eight aspects of life, which leads to happiness. If someone were to ask, what is happiness, everyone would have their own idea, on what brings happiness. The foundation of traditional Chinese values, lies in a harmonious family, and filial piety is an in-te-gral part of that. Hence, the first lesson towards finding a life of happiness, is to fulfil filial duties towards our parents.

在惟孝幸福的系列報導，要帶您認識幸福人生的八堂課，如果有人問您，什麼是幸福？相信每個人的心中都有自己的答案 ，在中國傳統觀念，幸福的人生是在於一個美滿的家庭，因此孝敬父母也是重要的一部分 ，然而，幸福人生的第一堂課，就是孝順父母。


6.台中熄燈日Safeguarding the planet

In Taiwan, on March 23rd, as part of Earth Hour, Central District Tzu Chings from various universities, seized the opportunity to remind everyone, of the importance of safeguarding the planet. First, we go to Tunghai(東海) University in Taichung City, to see how Tzu Chings there, are passing on environmental concepts to their fellow students.

在台灣，3月23日世界關燈日，好幾所大學的慈青利用機會提醒大眾，保護地球的重要性，一開始，我們先到台中東海大學，來看看那裡的慈青，是如何傳遞愛護地球的觀念給其他學生。


7.崑科大夜環保+校慶宣導環保Promoting environmentalism on campus

At the cen-ten-nial anniversary of Dapi(大埤) Elementary school, Yulin(雲林) Tzu Chi volunteers, seized the opportunity to educate members of the public, on the importance of environmentalism. While in Tainan(台南), at the Kunshan(崑山) University, on the day of their regular recycling, Tzu Chings encouraged other classmates to pratice recycling.

慈濟志工得知雲林大埤國小，將要舉辦百年校慶活動，因此把握機會宣導環保理念，而台南崑山科技大學的慈青，在每周固定做環保的活動中，呼籲同學加入省能的行列。


8.環保站啟用Environmental education center opened

Here in Taiwan, the largest recycling station in southern Taichung(台中) City, recently opened its doors to community members. Once an abandoned factory, the area has now been transformed, into an environmental education center.

在台灣台中市南區，最大型的環保教育站近期正式啟用，曾經是一處廢棄的廠房，如今轉換成一個環保教育站。


9.抗旱省水Making the best use of water resources

As water restriction has been im-ple-mented in many parts of Taiwan, how do we make the best use of our water resources? In our next report, we meet Tzu Chi volunteers Wang Guinan(王貴南), who can do many things with a bucket of water and Wang Jianfu(王建福), who collects rainwater and uses them in times of need.

台灣各地開始出現限水，我們如何利用水資源呢，接下來的報導，我們來認識一水五用的慈濟志工王貴南，還有儲存雨水的王建福，讓我們來看看。
