1.菲150次義診

Recently, the Tzu Chi Philippines Chapter launched its 150th free eye clinic. With the help of 37 TIMA doctors and volunteers, in 12 hours, 94 cataract patients regained their eyesight.

最近，慈濟菲律賓分會，舉辦第150次的眼科義診，這次動員了，37位人醫會醫護人員和志工，服務超過12個小時，幫助了94位白內障患者，重見光明。

2.和平助學訪視

Tzu Chi volunteers in China”s Guangdong Province run a scholarship program for disadvantaged students from Heping(和平) Province. Apart from going to schools to personally hand out scholarship funds, volunteers also traveled 300km to visit students at their homes. Undaunted by the long journeys, the caregivers” only wish was to give the award winners a more promising future.

廣東慈濟志工，針對和平縣貧困家庭的同學，定期發放助學金，不單在學校，更進一步前往學生家中拜訪，這一趟路，將近三百公里，路雖然遠，志工最終希望學生能有一個，光明的未來。

3.馬第18家書軒

The world”s 58th and Malaysia”s 18th Jing Si Books and Cafe officially opened its doors on April 1st in Selangor”s Petaling Jaya. Volunteers hope the bookstore, which also includes a community education center, can become a quiet refuge for residents of this busy city, where they can recharge with a good book and a healthy cup of tea.

全球第58家，也是馬來西亞第18家的靜思書軒，4月1日在雪蘭莪八打靈格拉那再也，掀開序幕，結合了社教中心的靜思書軒，期待在繁忙的都市裡，為附近居民和上班族提供一個充滿書香，茶香和人文香的心靈加油站。

4.馬國際書展

Staying in Malaysia, local volunteers took part in a book fair, held at a shopping center in Kuala Lumpur, before the beginning of a new school semester, to introduce Jing Si Aphorisms to the public, and share some of their personal experiences.

也是馬來西亞的報導，雪蘭莪慈濟志工特地前往，吉隆玻購物商場，趁學校剛開學，舉辦的國際書展，介紹靜思人文並分享自身經驗。

5.唐氏症攝影展

Down”s syndrome is a chromosomal condition, that affects one in 800 children in Taiwan. Nationwide there are currently around 30,000 people living with the disorder. To celebrate the happy spirit, that is present in every child living with Down”s syndrome, Hualien Tzu Chi Hospital opened a photography exhibition on April 2.

唐氏症是常見的染色體異常疾病，根據統計，在台灣唐氏症發生率大約800分之一，目前全台約有三萬名，罹患唐氏症的唐寶寶，花蓮慈濟醫院小兒部，4月2日在花蓮慈濟醫院舉辦「唐寶寶攝影展」。

6.印親子班環保

Tzu Chi volunteers in Indonesia hold a monthly class for parents and their children. This month”s gathering was at a recycling station. Through a video presentation, talks by the volunteers, and interactive games, both parents and their children came to better understand what they need to do to take care of the planet.

印尼每個月舉辦一次的親子成長班，這次把課程安排在環保站，透過影片，志工的講解，還有遊戲，讓小朋友和家長，學習更多保護地球的方法。

7.輔大MBA環保

In Taiwan, 34 overseas MBA students, who are studying at the Global Entrepreneurial Management and Business Administration program, of Fu Jen Catholic University (輔仁大學) visited Tzu Chi”s Neihu (內湖) chapter in Taipei. During the trip, the students learned how a non-profit organization is run, and also got some hands-on experience of recycling.

在台灣，34位來自輔仁大學，國際創業與經營管理學，碩士班的學生，前往慈濟內湖園區參訪，從參訪，學生學習到非營利組織的經營運作模式，也親身體驗做資源回收。


《 衲履足跡 》談珍惜 On Cherishing Relationships

Karmic affiliation is something to be cherished because that”s what brings people together in a relationship.

Although we are mere mortals, we should aim to become saints by attaining enlightenment.

要珍惜因緣，有緣才能從不同的家庭而遇到彼此、結為夫妻；雖然都還是習氣未除的凡夫，但凡夫也能成為聖人，學佛就是要轉迷為悟。

8.0402手工麵線(一)

Muzha Old Street in Taipei used to be famous for its hand-pulled noodles. There were a dozen thriving factories concentrated in the area, all making noodles in the traditional way. They were so sought-after, that people would come all the way from the outlying island of Mazu to place orders. But today, there is only one hand-made noodle workshop left in Muzha. The master noodle-makers, have been working in the trade since they were teenagers, and although they are 60-70 years old now, they say they are not ready to retire yet.

位在台北的木柵老街，以前這裡叫做麵線窟，繁榮時期有十幾家工廠，都在做手工麵線，遠近馳名，連馬祖的民眾都來下訂單，如今，卻只剩下一家工廠，堅持做著手工麵線，老師傅從十幾歲做到現在都六、七十歲，還沒打算要退休。


9.0402手工麵線(二)

The once thriving noodle area of Muzha is now down to its last factory. The boss, 80-year-old Mr. Liu Qinxian劉欽賢 has been pulling noodles for a lifetime. He admits it is hard work, but he has no complaints. Mr. Liu has seen the industry thrive and then fade, and although he is not as strong as he used to be, he is happy that he has two sons, who are willing to take up their father”s business, and keep the Liu noodle factory, in the family.

昔日的木柵麵線窟，如今只剩下一家，老闆，80歲的劉欽賢，堅持手工製作，他說雖然很辛苦，但是卻沒怨言，走過最繁榮也看到走向沒落，如今體力大不如前，還好有兩個兒子接手幫忙，這個手工麵線的家庭事業，一家人，一起堅守。

Finally today, April 4 is Children”s Day in Hong Kong and Taiwan. To mark the occasion at Fuxing Junior Elementary School, in the Zhonghe district of Taipei, teachers took the children on an outing up a nearby hill.
