Coming up in today`s show, Tzu Chi`s winter aid distributions in China are helping improve the lives of many residents in Fujian.

In the United States, Tzu Chi volunteers are continuing to help Hurricane Sandy survivors by handing out cash cards and raising funds.

And, we meet health management specialist, Wang Lianxin(王連馨), to see how she helps the employees in her company stay fit and healthy.

1.泉州第二天

As Tzu Chi volunteers in Fujian(福建), China, continue to carry out winter relief distributions in Quanzhou(泉州) City, many local residents came to offer their assistance and among them was Tzu Chi care recipient Yang Ziyou (楊自由). An accident 5 years ago left Yang`s legs paralyzed, but with Tzu Chi`s care, she discovered a new meaning to life through giving.

福建省的慈濟志工，今天持續在泉州市發放，當地有不少鄉親來付出，其中一位 還是慈濟，居家關懷戶，住在晉江龍湖區的楊自由，五年多前發生意外而癱瘓，讓她透過付出，找到人生新意義。
2.泉州寶軍自立

Last year, we brought you the story, of para-ple-gic Su Baojun(蘇寶軍), who lives in Quanzhou(泉州) City. Recently, volunteers returned to see how Su is doing and found the young man excited about his new business opportunities.

去年曾經報導，住在中國福建省，泉州市的蘇寶軍，近日慈濟志工再度拜訪，發現了寶軍對自己的事業，充滿了動力。


3.福建冬令訪視

Staying in China, while Tzu Chi volunteers were in Fujian`s(福建) Quanzhou(泉州) City, for a 3-day distribution, they visited 6 villages in Quangang(泉港) District, helping some 16,000 families. Apart from traveling to remote mountainous areas, volunteers also took a boat, to deliver the much needed winter supplies to residents in Huiyu(惠嶼) Island.

也是中國，志工來到福建泉州展開，為期三天的冬令發放，而在這幾天的活動中，他們探訪了六個村鎮，總共幫助了1萬6千多戶家庭，除了前往山區，志工們也搭船來到離島惠嶼，為居民送上物資。

4.重返史坦頓

In the United States, New York Tzu Chi volunteers once again visited Staten Island, to distribute cash cards to help Hurricane Sandy survivors. This time around, they helped Mexican illegal migrants, at a local immigration center.

紐約慈濟志工再度重回史坦頓島，進行現值卡發放，給桑迪風災的受災居民，這次在當地移民中心，進行發放的對象是，非法的墨西哥移民。


5.美桑迪音樂會

Also in the United States, in mid-December, Tzu Chi volunteers prepared a charity concert to raise funds for Sandy survivors, with participating performers from all walks of life. Let`s take a look.

也是美國的報導，在12月中旬，美國洛杉磯慈濟志工，舉辦了一場為桑迪災民募款的音樂會，表演者都來自各行各業，一起去瞧一瞧。


6.加耶誕關懷

For many years now, during the Christmas season, Tzu Chi volunteers in Vancouver, Canada, have been caring for those in need. In Chinatown`s Cooper Place, senior residents enjoyed a Christmas show and tasty dishes prepared by Tzu Chi volunteers. Meanwhile, responding to a hotel manager`s request, the volunteers went to the London Hotel to care for low-income tenants.

加拿大溫哥華慈濟志工，長期關懷當地需要幫助的人，在中國城庫柏老人院的長者，享受了志工準備的耶誕節表演，以及可口的素食餐點，同時，志工接受旅館經理邀約，前往倫敦旅館，關懷低收入戶的房客。


7.日本東北祈福

In Japan, Tzu Chi volunteers carried out, 4 year-end blessing ceremonies, in Miyagi Prefecture between December 22nd and 24th. On its final day, Tzu Chi volunteers arrived at Ka-ho-ku to celebrate the end of a peaceful year.

日本慈濟志工在宮城縣，從12月22到24日，舉辦四場歲末祝福感恩會，最後一天 志工來到河北，跟居民一起慶祝度過平安的一年


《 衲履足跡 》談茹素 On Vegetarianism

The promotion of vegetarianism is not based on religion, but that it will benefit the environment.
Besides building a healthy body and mind, vegetarians are less temperamental; when human minds are at peace, the society will be harmonious as well.

推動素食不只是出於宗教觀點，而是對環保要盡一分心力；素食對生心理健康皆有益，而且素食者性情較不暴躁，心境較平穩；人心平穩，治安就會更好。

8.360健康管理師

In this health conscious society, most companies have already included regular health check-ups for their employees, however some corporations have taken it one step further, by hiring a health management specialist, to look after their workers full time, and today, we meet one of them, Wang Lianxin(王連馨).

現代人講求健康，這股風氣，甚至擴大到民間企業，大部分的公司，都已經提供員工，定期健康檢查，現在還有業者，在公司裡聘請專任的健康管理師，今天，我們帶大家認識其中一位 王連馨。


9.竹南清屋

In Zhunan(竹南), of Miaoli(苗栗), 73-year-old Grandma Xu(許) lives in solitude. With the new year just around the corner, Tzu Chi volunteers and university students arrived to clean Grandma Xu`s home, bringing with them joy and laughter that the house hasn`t felt in a long time.

在竹南苗栗住了一位，73歲的許阿嬤，由於三個兒子往生，一個癱瘓，住在安養院，她自己一個人住，眼看年關將近，慈濟志工和大學生，來幫阿嬤大掃除，也帶來這個家，很久沒有的熱鬧氣氛。


10.慈大精舍打掃

In Taiwan, first year students at the Tzu Chi University, traveled to Jing Si Abode in Hualien, to help with the year-end cleaning. As the students busied themselves with cleaning and sweeping the buildings and grounds, many experienced a different form of spiritual training.

台灣慈濟大學的大一新生，回到心靈故鄉，花蓮靜思精舍，幫忙進行歲末的大掃除，學生們忙著掃地清理時，感受到心靈平靜的感覺，可以專心在一件事上，作為精神訓練的一種方式。

We stay in Taiwan at the end of today`s program, to celebrate the end of 2012, Taichung Tzu Chi Hospital organized a banquet, inviting over 500 volunteers who served at the hospital to attend. At the event, medical staff all came together, not only to put on a series of performances, but also to show their gratitude to the volunteers. We will leave you with these images.
