Coming up in today`s show, US Tzu Chi volunteers continue their relief work for Hurricane Sandy victims, by handing out cash cards to a Muslim community.

Prevention is always better than cure; and experts say there are ways to prevent children from getting addicted to the Internet.

And, in our regular look at Taiwan`s unique trades, we learn the hard work that goes into producing a documentary film.

1.美穆斯林發放Aid distribution for Muslim community

In the United States, in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, the Tzu Chi New York Chapter continues to carry out relief distributions and care for survivors from various backgrounds. This time around, Tzu Chi volunteers handed out cash cards to the Muslim community in Brooklyn.

美國桑迪風災過後，慈濟紐約分會持續針對不同背景的受災戶進行發放關懷，這次來到布魯克林區的伊斯蘭教社區發放現值卡。


2.雙和歲末花絮Challenging year-end ceremony

As this year is coming to an end, Tzu Chi`s year-end blessing ceremonies are being held throughout Taiwan. In New Taipei City`s Zhonghe (中和) and Yonghe (永和) District, Tzu Chi volunteers held their community year-end ceremony on December 14th, where they provided live coverage to all partcipants.

年底即將來臨，而多場的慈濟歲末祝福在台灣展開，在新北市中永和區，慈濟志工在12月14號舉辦社區歲末祝福，還提供現場轉播服務。


3.義烏社區共修Turning room into local retreat

Moving to China, in Zhenjiang(浙江) Province, Wang Jianyou(王建有) who runs a hair accessory gift company, came to Taiwan this year, to take part in the volunteer training program in Hualien. Upon returning home, he threw himself into Tzu Chi`s work, and also offered his house as a local retreat for Tzu Chi`s recycling and training activities.

王建有在浙江義烏經營髮飾禮品公司，今年參加花蓮的志工培訓，回到家鄉中國，他不單是做環保，也把自家提供出來做為社區共修處，做為做環保和舉辦活動用。


4.喜出網外(三)成癮預防針Vaccine for Internet addiction

Is there a cure to Internet addiction? Experts say, the best way to prevent Internet addiction is for your child to find a hobby or interest they love. In continuing our series on Internet addiction, we meet the director of Psy-chia-try Department at the Kaohsiung(高雄) Mu-ni-ci-pal Hsiaokang(小港) Hospital, Dr. Ke (柯), to hear what he has to say about curing Internet addiction. Dr. Ke(柯), for con-fi-den-tiality reasons, has opted to remain off camera during our interviews. Let`s take a look.

5.北慈永續健康Awarded the Sustainable Health Award

Recently, the Cardiology Department at the Taipei Tzu Chi General Hospital, was awarded the Sustainable Health Award from the Department of Health. Thanks to its director, Huang Xuanli(黃玄禮), and his team, 460 patients that suffered from arte-rio scle-rosis in their lower body, were able to make a full recovery.

最近 台北慈濟醫院心臟內科團隊，獲得健保局永續健康獎的肯定，在黃玄禮主任和醫療團的努力下，460位罹患下肢動脈硬化的病患能拾回健康。


6.360紀錄片Documentary directors

The director plays an important role in the production of a successful film, with documentary films being particularly difficult to make, as film makers will come across all different situations and need to be flexible, as well as build a good relationship with their crew. In today`s feature report on Taiwan`s unique trades, we meet two documentary directors and learn of the hard work that goes into producing a documentary, as well as the challenges that arise along the way.

導演扮演統籌核心的角色，不過又以紀錄片更特別，因為拍攝會有很多突發狀況，也要跟攝影團隊建立良好的信任關係，在今天的真情臉譜專題，我們來認識兩位紀錄片導演，了解製作紀錄片的辛苦，以及過程中會遇到的挑戰。


7.單親媽自立An independent mother

Staying in Taiwan, 35-year-old Li Xinying (李芯穎) is a single mother, who decided to open her own bakery. Although her bakery business has just started and isn`t making much, the flexible hours allows Li (李) to spend quality time with her children - it is something that money can`t buy.

也是台灣的報導，35歲的李芯穎是個單親媽媽，開了一間麵包店，雖然才剛起步、錢賺得不多，但時間彈性可以多和孩子相處，卻是用錢也買不到的快樂。


8.洪翠梓愛相隨I am here for you

In our next report, we meet Hong Cuizi(洪翠梓), who is a vocational counselor for the Eden Social Welfare Foundation. For the past year, Hong has accompanied Xiaoma(小馬), who is mentally disabled to work, during which she has taught him, how to take the train and ride a bicycle.

下一則新聞，我們來認識伊甸社福基金會就服員洪翠梓，這幾年來，洪子翠陪伴著身心障礙者－小馬，一起工作，更教導他如何搭火車和騎腳踏車。


9.養護續關懷Warming the hearts of elders

With Taiwan been hit by a cold front in the past few days, Kaohsiung(高雄) Tzu Chi volunteers visited a nursing home, where they spent some time singing and talking with senior residents. As the nursing home is about to relocate, many residents expressed their worry that they would not see the volunteers again. However, the volunteers reassured them, that no matter where they end up, Tzu Chi will be there.

這幾天氣溫直直落，台灣的慈濟志工前往高雄的養護中心，與老人家互動，現在養護中心即將搬遷，許多院友擔心以後見不到慈濟志工，慈濟人告訴長輩們，無論他們搬到那裡，都會有慈濟人的關懷。
