1.林登高中發放

In the United States, for several students at Linden High School in New Jersey, their families continue to struggle to rebuild their homes after Hurricane Sandy. To help these struggling families, the high school put together a fund raising drive. Hu Dejiang(胡德獎), who teaches Chinese at the school and have received Tzu Chi`s help in the past, asked the Buddhist NGO to step in and give a helping hand. Tzu Chi volunteers responded by arriving at the school to hand out cash cards to those students in need. Here`s more.

美國新澤西的林登高中學生，在桑迪風災後，持續重建家園，為了幫助受災家庭，學校發起募款活動，教授中文的胡德獎老師，過去曾接受慈濟幫忙，他向慈濟志工求援，志工也特地前往學校發放現值卡，讓學生很開心。


2.山東臨沂發放

Moving to China, in Linyi(臨沂), of Shandong(山東) Province, where temperatures have dropped to 11 degrees below zero, Tzu Chi volunteers held a winter aid distribution to hand out aid supplies to local residents. To keep everyone warm, the volunteers served ginger tea, as they were waiting to pick up the relief supplies.

轉到中國，在山東省臨沂，當地氣溫只已有零下11度，慈濟志工舉辦冬令發放，送上物資跟關懷，害怕民眾受寒，志工還送上薑茶，讓前來領取物資的民眾暖身。


3.英國街友發放

In the United Kingdom, Manchester Tzu Chi volunteers held their annual winter aid distribution at a local day center, where the homeless or others in need, can visit and get a warm meal to eat. This year, the volunteers prepared not only the usual winter hat and gloves, but also included Tzu Chi`s instant rice and carefully translated the preparation instructions. Both volunteers and recipients alike, felt the blessings from this joyous occasion.

在英國，曼徹斯特慈濟志工，在收容中心舉辦了，每年的冬天發放，要把溫暖送給街友，今年不止準備了保暖的帽子和手套，還有香積飯，以及翻譯的使用說明，街友與志工們都期待天的來臨。

4.日東松島石卷歲末併

To celebrate the end of a peaceful year, Tzu Chi volunteers in Japan have organized 4 year-end blessing ceremonies in Miyagi Prefecture, from December 22nd to 24th. Residents were happy to see the familiar faces of Tzu Chi volunteers, and many brought their bamboo coin banks, to donate a little of their love.

歲末之際，日本慈濟志工，一連3天從12月22日到24日，在宮城縣舉辦4場歲末祝福，居民歡喜滿滿，迎接熟悉的身影，慈濟志工的到來，還有許多居民則帶來，日日積存的愛心竹筒，回饋慈濟。


5.緬甸工地視察

Following Cyclone Nargis in 2008, Tzu Chi was one of the first organizations on the ground, helping citizens of Myanmar recover from the devastation caused by the storm. In addition to delivering immediate, emergency care, Tzu Chi also put in place, several medium and long term plans, that included the rebuilding of schools destroyed by the disaster. Recently, several of these long-term plans have come to fruition as the first two schools were finished in 2010 and 2011 respectively, while the third school is scheduled for completion in January 2013.

2008年，納吉斯風災侵襲之後，慈濟是第一個抵達緬甸，便馬上為居民進行急難救助，除了提供即時的救援之外，慈濟也同時啟動了中長期的援建工程計畫，這包括幫助風災損毀的校園重建，目前第一、二所學校，已經分別在2010年和2011年完工，而第三所學校，也預計在明年一月完工。

6.亞庇照顧戶(1)

In Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, Tzu Chi volunteers invited care recipients to the local liaison office, in an effort to further introduce them to Tzu Chi`s work. Volunteers also seized the opportunity to encourage the recipients, to adopt a bamboo coin bank, and join Tzu Chi to help those in greater need.

在馬來西亞亞庇，慈濟志工邀請照顧戶回到會所，希望進一步推廣慈濟，也呼籲響應竹筒歲月精神，加入慈濟助人的行列。


7.喜出網外(六)電玩把關

In recent years, adolescents performing acts of violence seems to have become more frequent. Many blame it on an increase in violent video games; however, parents might need to shoulder some of that responsibility, instead of solely blaming the gaming industry. In our last series of Internet addiction, we take a look at how video games may or may not be harming the next generation.

近幾年，年輕人犯罪行為越來越多，多數怪罪暴力的電玩遊戲，可是家長們也需要承擔一些責任，不能只怪罪遊戲業者，在我們最後一集的喜出網外專題中，我們來看看，電玩遊戲對我們下一代，可能造成的影響。

Those involved in broadcasting the news must shoulder the responsibility of reporting the truth and spread Taiwan`s love and kindness around the globe.

8.360油氣探勘員

Did you know that the clothes we are wearing, and the TV we watch at home are all byproducts made of refined petroleum. Our transportation tools such as the car, train, and airplane also rely heavily on petroleum. In today`s feature report on Taiwan`s unique trades, we meet a group of oil miners, and learn the hard work that goes into searching for petroleum.
