Coming up in today`s show, Hualien(花蓮) Tzu Chi volunteers, tend to family members of a student, who passed away, in a misfortunate accident.

We take a look, at why 20 percent of Taiwan`s population, suffer from in-som-n-ia.

And, we go to the Jing Si Hall in Taichung(台中),Taiwan, to see how it inspires more people, to walk the Tzu Chi path.

1.慈技意外關懷Sudden death of a TCCT student

In Taiwan, as the Tzu Chi College of Technology held its final exams, a third-year student was found absent. Later his teachers and classmates found his body on the rooftop. Upon learning of the news, his family members in Keelung(基隆) rushed over, to arrange his funeral. Tzu Chi volunteers were also on site, to comfort the hearts of the family, and classmates.

台灣慈濟技術學院，近來正舉辦學校期末考，但一位大三學生並未赴考，他的老師同學發現他躺在頂樓陽台，家屬得知噩耗後，也趕緊從基隆趕來處理後事，慈濟志工也前來關懷家屬，還有同學。


2.三峽榮民關懷Visiting veterans in Sanxia

Also in Taiwan, Tzu Chi volunteers recently visited a veteran`s home, in New Taipei City`s Sanxia(三峽) District. The volunteers not only helped these seniors trim their nails, but also joined them in songs, showing them that they are not alone.

在台灣，慈濟志工定期拜訪新北市三峽區的榮民之家，不僅為他們剪指甲，陪他們唱唱歌，填補榮民伯伯落寞的心。


3.惟孝幸福首映Honor our parents in a timely fashion

Tzu Chi`s founder, Master Cheng Yen, has always preached to her disciples and the public, that we need to seize every moment, to honor our parents. Thus the Foundation has teamed up, with Taiwan`s Ministry of Interior, to promote filial piety. During which, a short film produced by Da Ai TV, by the name of ”The Name of My Mother” will be shown. Here is a sneak peak.

行善行孝不能等，是慈濟創辦人證嚴上人，一直以來不斷向會眾與大眾強調的觀念，這次內政部和慈濟基金會合作，舉辦惟孝幸福人文講座，並在講座中，播放由大愛電視台製作拍攝的微電影，母親的名字，一起來了解。


4.新山孝親奉茶June is Parent`s Month

In Malaysia, June is Parent`s Month, which gives children an opportunity, to thank their parents for raising them. Johor Bahru Tzu Chi volunteers held a tea serving event, at a local shopping mall, to remind everyone that filial piety can not wait.
六月是馬來西亞的雙親節，讓孩子們 感恩父母親的辛勞，新山慈濟志工在一處購物廣場，舉辦奉茶活動，提醒眾人及時行孝。


5.搶救失眠(1)台灣失眠現況Insomnia on the nation
People who can get a good night`s sleep, should count their blessings, for about 20 percent of Taiwan`s population or six million people, suffer from in-som-n-ia. Next, we take a look at why people, suffer from sleep-less-ness.

如果你每天晚上都能好好睡一個覺，那你應該覺得慶幸，因為在台灣，飽受失眠所苦的人竟然高達約百分之20 大約600萬人，接著，帶大家看看失眠的原因，到底為何。


6.0623公益媒體Non-profit driven media
In this era of information explosion, many media outlets, only focus on high ratings and profits, while ignoring the public interest. In our next report, let`s meet non-profit media groups in Taiwan, that are striving to provide truth, goodness and beauty to their viewers.

在資訊爆炸的時代，媒體經營是以收視率及商業獲利為優先，公眾利益反而被犧牲了，下一則新聞，我們來認識台灣一些不以商業利益為導向，堅持傳遞真善美給的媒體。


7.外媒訪內湖Foreign media visits Tzu Chi
In Taiwan, foreign media de-le-gations from 11 countries, visited Tzu Chi Neihu(內湖) Grounds on June 24th. When the group members learned Tzu Chi`s eco-blanket, was made from recycled plastic bottles, they were amazed.

總共來自11個不同國家的媒體參訪團，6月24日到了慈濟內湖園區，當參訪團員碰觸到由寶特瓶製成毛毯時，相當驚訝。


8.大愛心所在(1)中靜思堂緣起Origin of Taichung Jing Si Hall
As the number of volunteers, increased over the years, in Taichung(台中) City, the local Tzu Chi Chapter, could no longer, accommodate the growing numbers. Thankfully, after many twists and turns, a piece of land, was finally acquired, which paved the way, for the establishment of the local Jing Si Hall.

隨著志工人數增長，台中分會場地已經不敷使用，還好，最後百轉千迴，好不容易才取得土地，終於讓台中靜思堂莊嚴落成。


9.中部搬家Central Da Ai news office relocates

To help Da Ai news center in central Taiwan, relocate to their new office at the Jing Si Hall in Taichung(台中) City, Tzu Chi volunteers showed up with recycling trucks. Thanks to the efforts and teamwork, furniture and cameras from the old office, were quickly transported to the new office and properly organized.

為了幫忙大愛台中部新聞中心遷搬到台中靜思堂的辦公室，慈濟志工開來回收車幫忙，師兄們發揮螞蟻雄兵的力量，將物品和攝影器材搬上車，到新的辦公室就定位。

We go to the United States at the end of the show, where a two-week summer camp, is being held, at the Tzu Chi US Headquarters, in San Dimas, California.
