●Coming up in today`s show, Taichung(台中) Tzu Chi volunteers in Taiwan, arrive at Nantun(南屯) Road, to care for fire survivors.

●We go to Malaysia, to join Tzu Chi volunteers, at the opening ceremony, of the Pon-tian Liaison Office, in south-west Johor.

●And, we meet Yang Zhengqi(楊震祺), Who has transformed, from an abusive husband and father, to a gentle one, after meeting Tzu Chi.

1.中火警關懷 Tending to fire survivors

In Taiwan`s Taichung(台中)City, on June 9th, a fire broke out on Nantun(南屯) Road, affecting eight row houses, seven of which were damaged. Thankfully, the fire did not cause any casualties. Upon learning of the disaster, Tzu Chi volunteers soon arrived, with much needed assistance and emotional support.

台中市南屯路一處民宅，6月9號發生火警，火勢延燒八棟透天厝，受損的有七戶人家，幸好這起火災沒有人喪生，但是房屋毀損嚴重，得知消息後，慈濟志工前往膚慰關懷。


2.泰助學發放 Scholarships for poor students

In Thailand, the new school year, starts between May and June for most schools. This also means, Tzu Chi volunteers need to get busy and conduct surveys, in order to hand out Tzu Chi scholarships, to needy students. During their assessment trips, volunteers also run into many kind hearted parents and children, who donate to the cause, and fuel the circle of love.

在泰國，每年五月到六月初，是泰國各級學校的開學時間，慈濟志工利用這段期間，走訪學校，好發放助學金，一路上也遇到家長與學生，捐出自己的愛心，投入愛的循環。


3.廣東助學頒發 Scholarships for needy students

In Guangdong(廣東) Province, China, for the past 11 years, Tzu Chi`s scholarship aid, has provided many impoverished students, the chance to continue with their schooling. To express their gratitude, many students have donated their bamboo coin banks, or volunteered at their local recycling station.

在中國廣東省過去11年，慈濟的助學金幫助了廣東省許多清寒生，讓他們有機會繼續讀書，為了表達他們的感謝，許多學生捐出了竹筒或著，來到環保站做志工。

4.馬笨珍啟用 New liaison office opens

In Malaysia, the Tzu Chi Pon-tian Liaison Office, officially opened its doors on June 2nd, finally giving local Tzu Chi volunteers, a spiritual gathering point. At the opening ceremony, volunteers expressed the hope, that the office, would not only be a spiritual retreat for volunteers, but also a training ground, for members of the community.

馬來西亞笨珍聯絡處，在6月2日正式啟用，讓當地慈濟志工，擁有的一個新家，因此啟用典禮當天，各地的慈濟家人，特地前來，也希望這裡不僅是慈濟人的心靈歸宿，也能成為社區民眾，開啟善門的道場。


5.海外幹部花絮 Seminar attended by 300+ volunteers

In Hualien,Taiwan, a global senior Tzu Chi volunteers intensive training seminar, was held from June 4th to June 6th. This time, more than 300 senior Tzu Chi volunteers, from 25 different countries, returned to their spiritual home.To make sure the overseas volunteers had a pleasant stay, Taiwan Tzu Chi volunteers from across the island were mobilized.

慈濟全球負責人精進研習營，在6月4日到6月6日，在花蓮台灣舉行，這次有來自海外25個國家地區，300多位的幹部參與，為了讓海外家人，能有個愉快的研習營，台灣動員了各地志工來幫忙。


6.印尼會務報告 TC annual board meeting kicks off

Tzu Chi`s annual board meeting, kicked off in Hualien, Taiwan, over the past weekend, with Tzu Chi volunteers from several countries taking part. On June 9th, volunteers from the Indonesia Chapter, shared their recent progress, and the establishment of their Jing Si Hall.

慈濟的年度多國董事會，這周末在花蓮展開，有許多國家志工前來參加，6月9號印尼分會的慈濟志工報告會務，以及印尼靜思堂的啟用。


7.心心相印 Footprints of Great Love steadfast

Master Cheng Yen often reminds overseas Tzu Chi volunteers, to reciprocate and give back locally. With this in mind, Tzu Chi volunteers in Indonesia, have continued to serve the country and its people. Let`s take a look at the volunteers` hard work, throughout the decade.

證嚴上人，時常叮嚀海外慈濟志工，要回饋於當地，秉持著這一份心，印尼慈濟志工，這十幾年來，不斷為當地奉獻心力，一起來看看。


《 衲履足跡 》談以愛凝聚 On Gathering Love

Tzu Chi volunteers have taken their work overseas and with the proper conditions, those seeds of goodness will flourish.
Cultivating a gentle demeanor, we can comfort the hearts of others; establishing a place of training, we can gather a pool of love from which to draw on when helping those in need.

慈濟人在海外推展志業，所播下的種子，也需要陽光、溫度與水分等因緣聚合，才能萌發成長。如果能做到態度柔和，就能撫平人心，再找到固定的共修地，凝聚大家的心力，才有足夠力量幫助他人。

8.0608家暴轉善念 Stopping domestic violence

Domestic violence, usually stems from growing up, in an equally abusive home. In today`s report, we meet Yang Zhengqi(楊震祺), who used to be an abusive husband and father. After meeting Tzu Chi, he has repented his old ways of behavior, and is now striving to be a better father and husband.

家暴案件，成因多半來自他們過去的成長背景，也跟暴力有關，今天的報導要看的是，這位楊震祺，過去他是個會施行家暴的先生和爸爸，但現在的他，認識慈濟後不再對家人惡言相向，努力扮演好爸爸和好先生的角色。

9.外勞健康關懷 Free clinic for foreign laborers
In Taiwan, over the past 10 years, Tzu Chi volunteers and TIMA members, have held monthly free clinics, to better safeguard the health of foreign workers. Inspired by Tzu Chi`s long-term dedication, a Filipino worker also joined the volunteers` ranks. Despite the recent political tension, between Taiwan and the Philippines, the Filipino volunteer said, that here in Taiwan, the Taiwanese and Filipinos are like one family.

過去十年來，慈濟志工和人醫會醫師，每個月都會舉辦健檢義診，守護外籍勞工的健康，看到慈濟人的付出，有位菲律賓勞工，七年前開始來當志工，雖然最近台菲的關係緊張，但這位菲律賓勞工說，在台灣，大家就像一家人。


10.美謝師餐會併 Banquets to thank teachers

In the United States, Tzu Chi volunteers organized appreciation banquets, at the Texas` Lan-dis Elementary School, and two schools in California, to extend their gratitude to teachers and volunteers, from local communities. The volunteers also seized the opportunity, to introduce the idea of the bamboo coin banks, showing teachers how easy it could be, to do good deeds.

在美國，慈濟志工來到德州 蘭蒂斯小學，和位在加州的兩個學校，舉辦感恩餐會，最近一次的感恩餐會中，志工把握機會傳遞竹筒歲月精神，讓老師們了解到，做善事其實並不難。
