●Coming up in today`s show, China Tzu Chi volunteers are revisiting Mingshan(名山) High School in Sichuan(四川) Province to comfort students` anxious hearts.
●We go to Vatican City, where Tzu Chi volunteers and the officials of the Holy See, are signing a me-mo-ran-dum of understanding for future cooperation.
●And, we look into the cause of mutating diseases, and why it is important, to change our eating habit, to better protect ourselves.

1.名山中學復課 Students returning to school after quake
We start today`s show in China, despite the Yaan(雅安) Earthquake, at Mingshan(名山) High School, the school building, reconstructed by Tzu Chi weathered the massive quake unharmed. Recently, Tzu Chi volunteers revisited the school, to comfort students` anxious hearts.
一開始來看中國，雖然發生了雅安地震，慈濟援建的名山中學，通過了地震的考驗，毫髮無傷，慈濟志工再度前往名山中學，關懷回來上課的學生。
2.名山中學勘災 Schools hit hard by quake
Here in Sichuan(四川) Province, Da Ai TV reporters recently visited Mingshan(名山) High School, which itself was damaged during the Wenchuan(汶川) Earthquake 5 years ago. This time around, the school`s general building and another 37 classrooms were damaged, and will probably have to be torn down and rebuilt.
在大陸四川省，大愛記者拜訪名山中學，這間學校在5年前，經歷過汶川大地震，這次地震後，擁有37間教室的綜合大樓，受到嚴重的損害，面臨即將拆掉重建的命運。
3.蘆山中學板房 Ensuring education continues
In Lushan(盧山) County, to help students return their lives to normal, as soon as possible, local government are coordinating with the business sector to provide temporary classrooms. In Lushan(盧山) High School,10 temporary classrooms have been built, and within a week, 48 new dormitories and classrooms will be ready for use.
在廬山縣，為了幫助學生，盡快重返正常的學校生活，當地政府和相關業者合作，規畫板房教室，廬山中學已經完成，十多間簡易教室的興建，預估不用一星期，48間宿舍和教室，就能全數使用。
4.蘆山志願者 Volunteers from far & wide
Staying in Lushan(盧山) County, we meet deaf-mute hairstylist Tang Zhiqiang(唐志強), who traveled from Kunshan(昆山) City of Jiangsu(江蘇) Province, to provide free hair cut services for quake survivors. But first let`s meet quake survivor Yang Junyu(楊俊宇), who also arrived at the disaster zone to join the military, in providing hot meals to disaster victims.
也是蘆山縣的報導，帶各位認識，聾啞髮型師 唐志強，地震後，他從江蘇昆山，來到災區提供災民，免費剪髮，但一開始我們先來認識，來到災區，加入軍隊，準備熱時給災民的地震災民 楊俊宇。

5.川超越震殤(3)自力重建 Yangliu villagers rebuild homes
In the aftermath of China`s Wenchuan(汶川) Earthquake in 2008, the Mao(茂) County, in Sichuan(四川) suffered severe damage. In the small village of Yangliu(楊柳), the land became unliveable after the quake and thus, residents came together, to relocate and rebuild their homes. A Taiwanese architect, Xie Yingjun(謝英俊), who was deeply moved by the villagers` efforts, decided to assist with the reconstruction.
在中國 2008年的汶川地震後，茂縣大約有八成的土地，嚴重受創，在楊柳村，因為原址有地質問題，居民協議好，另地重建，來自台灣的建築師謝英俊，被楊柳村的團結給感動了，決定協助居民重建。
6.羅馬辦茶會 Tea gathering in Rome
Europe Tzu Chi volunteers` assistance for disaster victims in an earthquake last May, reconnected Tzu Chi`s affinities with the country. 16 years ago, Tzu Chi volunteers held their first tea gathering in Italy, hoping to invite people to join the Buddhist NGO, and now today, Tzu Chi volunteers held another tea gathering in Rome, and were joined by members of the Chinese community and local Italians.
在去年五月，義大利受到地震重創後，歐洲慈濟志工，前往援助，因而讓民眾與慈濟，重新牽起這份緣，16年前慈濟志工，來到義大利舉辦茶會，接引人間菩薩，16年後的今天，志工再度前來羅馬辦茶會，也邀請許多義大利的華僑，與當地居民前來參加。
7.慈濟見樞機 Cross-religion talks
In the Vatican City, Tzu Chi volunteers and officials of the Holy See, came together to exchange ideas. Despite the differences in faith, Tzu Chi volunteers and Vatican officials, signed a me-mo-ran-dum of understanding, for mutual cooperation in the future.
在梵蒂岡，慈濟志工與教廷進行會談，交流理念，儘管信仰不同，慈濟志工與梵蒂岡官方，簽署合作備忘錄，希望加深未來的合作關係。
8.大愛遇教宗 Spiritual ground of Catholicism
Also in the Vatican City, After a recent Sunday service held by Pope Francis, Da Ai TV news team, captured the images of Pope Francis, as he greeted and blessed believers face to face. Let`s take a look.
也是梵蒂岡城的報導，在最近一場彌撒之後，大愛新聞團隊目擊，方濟教宗向信徒致意祝福，展現他的親和力，一起來看看。
《 衲履足跡 》談感恩齋戒 May 1 On Going Vegetarian
May is a month of blessing and gratitude, as well a month to refrain from eating meat. Master Cheng Yen(Again, change I to this.) encourages all to not only cultivate a pure diet, but a heart of purity as well. Although world events may seem immense in scale, as long as we are willing to carry the burden asked of us, everyone has the power to become a force for good.
五月是慈濟人的感恩月，也是齋戒月。期待人人共同一心，不只是素食，更要心素。雖天下事龐大沉重，但即使是微弱的力量，只要願意承擔，就能形成淨化社會的泉源。
9.(時光機)人的反思 Have we learnt our lesson?
Plagued with SARS in 2003, then the H1N1 swine flu in 2009, and now the H7N9 bird flu, it has been a long fought battle for mankind. Viruses which were once prone to infect animals can now easily mutate, to infect humans, causing an epidemic outbreak. As these epidemics raised worldwide alarm, it tells us just how vulnerable the human race is to viruses. However, have we learnt our lesson?
從2003年的SARS，2009年的H1N1新流感，到今日的H7N9流感，人類面臨了各種新興病毒的侵襲，是個長期的對抗，原本在動物身上的病毒，現在很容易感染到人類，甚至爆發流行，如今爆發的疫情，不僅讓人恐慌，也說明了人類面對病毒的脆弱，但是人類學習到了嗎。
