● Coming up in today`s show, Tzu Chi volunteers in Malaysia and the Philippines, are holding pilgrimages to celebrate Tzu Chi`s 47th anniversary.

● China Tzu Chi volunteers, are distributing stationery, daily necessities and blankets, to Lushan(盧山) High School students in Sichuan Province, before they return to school.

● And, we take a look at a support system in Taipei, Taiwan, where family members of Alzheimer sufferers, can find support and comfort.



● 今天的提要，馬來西亞和菲律賓慈濟志工舉辦朝山法會慶祝慈濟47周年。

● 中國慈濟志工 在學校開學前，發送文具、日用品和毛毯，給四川蘆山中學的學生。

1. 菲馬朝山 Philippines & Malaysia join pilgrimage

We kick off the show in Malaysia, where Tzu Chi volunteers held a pilgrimage to celebrate Tzu Chi`s 47th anniversary. Through the event, Tzu Chi volunteers realized the importance of fulfilling their filial duties. While in the Philippines, Tzu Chi members and care recipients, joined volunteers in the chanting of Buddhist scriptures, to show their gratitude for Tzu Chi`s help.

節目的一開始來到馬來西亞，我們跟著慈濟志工一起慶祝慈濟47周年，志工們透過朝山法會體會了孝順的重要，同時在菲律賓，慈濟會員與照顧戶也跟著志工一起參與朝山，表達對慈濟的感謝。


2. 北浴佛彩排 & 埔里浴佛準備 Getting ready for Buddha Day

May 12th, is Mother`s Day, but to Tzu Chi volunteers it is also Buddha Day and Global Tzu Chi Day. Across the globe, volunteers are working hard for the upcoming tri-celebration. We now check out the on-going preparation in Taiwan`s Puli(埔里) and Taipei.

下個星期日5月12日就是母親節，但對慈濟人來說也是佛誕節與全球慈濟日，全球的志工正為三節合一的慶祝活動而努力，一起來看看台灣埔里與台北的活動。


3. 蘆山中學發放 School is back in session

In Sichuan(四川) Province, China, following Yaan(雅安) Earthquake, the Lushan(盧山) High School was closed down, due to the extensive damage it suffered in the tremor. Thankfully, with help of corporations and local government, temporary classrooms have been setup, and school was back in running on May 6th. The day before, students gathered on campus, to receive stationery, daily necessities, and blankets from Tzu Chi volunteers.

中國四川省雅安地震後，盧山中學的學生被迫停課，幸好在民間企業和當地鎮輔的幫忙下，蓋好了臨時教室，5月6日學生們正式復課，復課前一天學生們來到學校，領取慈濟志工送上的文具用品、生活用品和毛毯。


4. 蘆山行動金融 Local post office & bank down

Staying in China; many local residents in Lushan(盧山) County, Sichuan(四川) Province, are currently living in make-shift tents, setup around a local gymnasium. As the local post office and banks, are temporarily closed, quake survivors have no access to withdraw money, to purchase daily necessities. Luckily, a mobile post office and bank were setup around the gym, to solve this problem.

在中國雅安強震後，四川省盧山縣的居民大多都居住在體育館附近的帳棚區，因為郵局和銀行都暫停營業，受災鄉親沒有地方可以提領現金購買生活用品，所幸在體育場館旁設立了行動郵局和銀行，解決了問題，讓我們來看看。


5. 羅鳳萍送愛 Tzu Chi volunteer, Luo Fengping

Joining the volunteers, as they continue their relief work in Sichuan`s(四川) Lushan(蘆山), has been Luo Fengping(羅鳳萍) - a newly certified Tzu Chi volunteer. Five years ago, Luo(羅) lost her home in the Wenchuan(汶川) Earthquake, and was forced to live in a government tent for over three years. Now, following the Yaan(雅安) Earthquake, Luo(羅) is once again back in an aid camp, only this time as a volunteer, working to comfort those who lost so much in the tremor.

慈濟志工在四川雅安蘆山，持續進行關懷其中一位就是新發意志工羅鳳萍，五年前汶川地震時，她是受災戶，曾在帳棚內住了整整三年的時間，現今雅安地震後，她從受災變志工，她選擇到災區當志工，要用自己的親身經驗，陪伴蘆山鄉親走過地震陰霾。


6. 時光機 - 善心輸出 Taiwan- an international player

Taiwan`s economy suffered heavily after World War II,however, following 15 years of humanitarian assistance from the United States, it soon flourished and grew once more. Today, Taiwan`s role in the international stage, has gradually transformed, from aid recipient to aid donor - becoming a provider of extensive foreign aid, using its so-called “soft-power” to contribute to the global village. Although Taiwan has many times been rejected, from participating in international organizations and conferences, due to the “One China” policy. The island nation has nonetheless entered into many non-formal co-operative projects with nations worldwide, becoming a key player in the global arena.

在二次世界大戰之後，台灣經濟凋敝，經過十五年美國援助，台灣因為厚植經濟實力變身為國際上的援助國，透過軟實力貢獻地球村，雖然國際上 因為一個中國政策，許多國際組織與會議台灣都被排除在外，但透過各種優勢項目的非正式合作走進了國際社會成為不容忽視的重要力量。


7. 愛不失憶(4)失憶互助 Support is right around the corner

In Taiwan, the number of those diagnosed with Alzheimer`s continues to increase daily, so it`s important to know about the warning signs and how you can help. And as being a caregiver to someone suffering from Alzheimer`s, is such an overwhelming task, family members might wonder what type of support systems are out there? In today`s report on dementia, we take a look at a support system in Taipei, where families can go, to talk with other families and receive emotional support.

在台灣，罹患失智症的患者天天持續增加中，如何了解所產生的警訊以及如何幫助他們變得很重要，因為，你我當中或家人都可能罹患這種病症，失智症照顧者是個壓力大的工作，許多家屬會想說互助家庭的幫助，為何，今天，愛不失憶的專題中，帶大家看看，家屬能在台北的失智症家屬的互助家庭中，可以藉由和其他失智者家庭的互動得到需要的心靈援助。


8. 板橋居家訪視 Family saved by Tzu Chi

In our next report, we travel to New Taipei City`s Banqiao(板橋) District, to meet care recipient, Mr. Sun(孫). Nine years ago, Mr. Sun(孫) was attacked by a group of teenagers, in what was a case of mistaken identity. The beating put Mr. Sun(孫) in the hospital, and later in a wheelchair for the rest of his life. Luckily, begining six years ago, Tzu Chi volunteers took the family under its wing, and have been there since, with monthly subsidies and support through regular visits. In gratitude, the family of three, saves a bit of money every day, to donate to those in greater need.

接下來的報導，在板橋大觀區的居家照顧戶孫先生，九年前到大賣場購物時，被一群年輕人因為認錯人，不分青紅皂白就是一陣毒打，造成重傷要靠輪椅行動，慈濟志工是在六年前接到提報，提供補助，也陪伴一家三口度過難關，抱著一分感恩的心，他們每天一起把省下來的零錢存起來，要捐出助人。

We stay in Taiwan at the end of the show, where a Buddha Day ceremony was held in Taitung(台東) County. Although many local residents were Catholics, under the volunteers` guidance, everyone overcame their religious differences, and happily joined the event. We will leave you with these images.
