Welcome to Da Ai Headlines. I’m Helen Liao. Thank you for joining us. Coming up in the show today, Philippines TIMA doctors are holding a free dental clinic in Manila, helping a total of 86 patients. In our report on ＂Spreading Love in Guizhou(貴州)＂, we meet a media volunteer couple, Xiao Jiaming(蕭嘉明) and Gao Yuebai(高月白), who captures Tzu Chi’s events with their cameras. And, we go to Hainan(海南), China to see how Tzu Chi’s seeds of love is spreading far and wide, into the local community.

1. 菲牙科往診

Recently, Philippines TIMA doctors visited Manila once again, to set up their 205th free dental clinic, which helped a total of 86 patients. One patient was Cecilia So-ri-ano, who received Tzu Chi’s help last year, when her son was injured; this time she brought her filled bamboo coin back to reciprocate Tzu Chi’s love.

最近慈濟菲律賓人醫會再度前往馬尼拉市區，進行第二百零五次的牙科巡迴義診，服務八十六位病患，其中一位塞西莉亞，去年因為兒子被流彈射傷，接受過慈濟的幫助，這一次特地帶著感恩心，響應竹筒歲月。


2. 曼谷火災發放

In Bangkok, Thailand, fires broke out in the districts of Bang Khen and Ruam-jai Pat-ta-na Nue, affecting more than 30 households. Upon receiving the news, Tzu Chi volunteers arrived with consolation cash, relief items and the much needed emotional support.

泰國曼谷市的挽卿區和拉差貼威區發生大火，聽聞消息，慈濟志工送上慰問金、物資，和精神上的膚慰。


3. 人醫街友發放

As we are just a few days away from the Chinese New Year, TIMA doctors in Central Taiwan visited the Taichung(台中) Homeless Caring Center, to hand out relief items to the homeless. Here’s more.

歲末年終之際，慈濟中區人醫會前往台中街友關懷中心發放物資，一起來看看。

4. 愛在黔縣(5)--志工愛滿懷

In Tzu Chi, media volunteers help capture details of all types of events, from aid distributions to home visitations. In today’s report on ＂Spreading Love in Guizhou(貴州),＂ we meet Xiao Jiaming(蕭嘉明) and Gao Yuebai(高月白), for whom every image they shoot, captures a moment in history.

慈濟的真善美志工，從發放到家訪，負責為大家留下真善美的足跡。今天的愛在黔縣，我們來認識蕭嘉明師兄與高月白師姊，他們每按下快門，都在為慈濟寫歷史。


5. 越南歲末發放

In vietnam, as Lunar New Year is just around the corner, Tzu Chi volunteers carry out year-end aid distributions for care recipients. This time around, Tzu Chi volunteers provided relief items for 1,131 families across 5 different areas, bringing love and care to needy residents.

農曆即將到來，在越南，慈濟人忙著為照顧戶準備歲末發放，這一次志工分別在五地幫助1131戶人家，讓貧困人家感受慈濟的關懷。


6. 吉打歲末回饋

In Malaysia, in order to help dis-advantaged households enjoy the upcoming Lunar New Year, Tzu Chi volunteers from the Kedah branch held a year-end reunion banquet and aid distribution for local care recipients. During the event, volunteers spread the message of recycling, and care recipients brought filled bamboo coin banks to donate.

為了讓弱勢家庭也能感受到即將到來的春節氣氛，慈濟馬來西亞吉打分會為照顧戶舉辦歲末發放圍爐活動，在活動上，慈濟志工傳遞環保理念，照顧戶們更是帶來竹筒獻愛心。

On Being Diligent

The world is filled with suffering. Bodhisattvas therefore need to posses limitless compassion in order to save sentient beings. We need to be loving in our interactions and humbly learn from each other. When we open our ears and minds to study the strengths of others, we can overcome our own weaknesses.

主題：談用心

開示：天下苦難眾生偏多，菩薩要有無量的大悲心，才能救拔苦難眾生；希望大家用愛互動，用「取經」的虛心求法之心，用心聆聽，吸收他人長處，充實己身之不足。


7. 海南愛啟航(1)--人文和慈濟因緣

In China, Hainan(海南) Isalnd has attracted many tourists with its beautiful scenery. Therefore, in 2010, the Chinese government decided to turn it into an island for international tourism. However, it was soon after, that the island experienced flooding for 2 consecutive years, and Tzu Chi arrived, to carry out its first winter aid distribution to help the needy in the area. Since then, Tzu Chi’s seeds of love have taken root in Hainan(海南).

中國的海南島，吸引許多觀光客前來，因此2010年起被中國政府規畫為國際旅遊島，不過那一年底開始，連續兩年受到洪澇肆虐，慈濟特地在當地展開第一次冬令發放，同時也從那時候起，慈濟的愛深根海南島。


8. 斯里蘭卡辣木

To help those overseas find su-stainable ways of life, volunteers are helping communities plant Mo-ringa Trees, which can be sold as a cash crop. Recently volunteers came together in Sri Lanka’s Ham-ban-to-ta, where along with members of the public, the trees were planted in an un-used piece of land.

為了協助海地重建家園，慈濟志工在當地推廣種植辣木，這是種經濟作物，近來斯里蘭卡慈濟志工在漢班托塔，與民眾合作，在荒蕪的土地上種植辣木。


9. 菲水懺彩排

On February 3rd, the Tzu Chi Philippines Chapter held a year-end blessing ceremony that featured the sign language performance of the Water Repentance Sutra. The performers were made up of more than 300 local volunteers and, in spite of the language barrier, everyone was determined to overcome all obstacles, to put on a successful show.

2月3日，菲律賓慈濟分會舉辦一場歲末祝福，其中更有水懺演繹，這次的表演者超過三百位本土志工，雖然語言隔閡，大家有決心，要克服一切困難。

We go back to Taiwan at the end of the show; to safeguard the health of local residents, the Hualien(花蓮) Tzu Chi Medical Center, put together doctors from 11 different departments and established the Tumor Union Clinic.
